Is this the average quality of people you find now on the servers?
I think that the distance of the HVAA have been nerfed recently, so it still has the farther distance range, but you can't do something like this anymore, you can still use hit and run tactics, but people can catch you if you are not aware of your sorroundings.
Can confirm, people try this stuff on PC with F-14, Mig 31, Wyvern, YF and others but the whole lobby chases them. The Foxhound guys often fly right into a corner so they become easy kills.
HVAA performance is impressive, but the other players' lack of situational awareness regarding a "Sky Eye" type enemy is concerning. You'd think someone would notice the jet with 3 stars flyiny high above sniping people from out below.
You do know that this is EXACTLY what the F-35 is made for. Excellent thrust, great cruising altitude, Advanced stealth, and advanced computing for missile for grater accuracy on longer ranges
The F-35A/C is also agile _enough_ to keep the enemy on its toes and launch an AIM-9X (IRL QAAMs) or break off and re-engage from BVR, which you stated was it's strength
Even without post stall it's still a really good plane. Give it some engine upgrades instead of manuverability and it can do really good hit and runs. I think it looks cooler than the F-22 as well~
@@trexgtr 23 is more versatile especially in hit in run so you dont get absolutely bopped. Also ground attack in campaign really well. 22 is more of a pure fighter because it doesnt have ground ordinance but it holds its own. Just like the real thing it's more for agility and close combat with aircraft instead of hit and run.
What I find funny is how none of those players below were paying attention to the fact that they were being snipped and barely tried to dodge xD Thinking about how that must lool on the radar, with a missile slowly moving towards you then suddenly speeding up sharply, I think I can understand. But they shouldn't be making that mistake anyways. Especially not repeatedly. xD Nice idea for the build though!

Well ,I'll be honest with ya ,AH was my first Ace combat game (due to I only have PC) ,and I was BF3 CAS main pilot before ,I think it's a so-so game to me ,as a guy never heard AC before ,DF mode it's not really a big problem for me ,sure when you replay the SP ,the final boss 's plot armor is kinda annoying ,but there are still couple fun stages existed ,I didn't touch the MP cuz I was busy at no lifeing in BF3/4's jet rank tho ,of course ,that was my point before other AC games ,after 04 5 Zero ,I never boot up the AH again lol
@@vbcfbhu You're the first person I've talked too who didn't outright bash that game. I personally enjoyed AH. It tried to progress the gameplay and add variety to a fun (but otherwise rote) series. I enjoy ACE COMBAT, but every entry is literally the same game with better visuals and a new story, but no real variation in the gameplay. I appreciated what Project Aces tried to do with Assault Horizon such as helicopter segments, and Dogfight mode. It's that type of experimentation that is needed for a series like AC to progress and improve. Assault Horizon is a solid game that gets too much undeserved hatred as far as I'm concerned. But thanks for the response. It was interesting.

I used to do something similar with planes like the F-15E or Su-35, basically almost anything with multi-targeters. I’d go into FFA matches and hang around well outside the inevitable furball, moving in and locking everyone while they were distracted fighting each other. Just about guaranteed at least one or two kills each time. Won several games doing that lmao.

SpW Power 1 is enough to get the HVAA to one-shot almost everything that doesn't run armor. That gives you enough slots to drop a body part and run msl power lv2.
But you can't 1HK stock F-22 57 23 and other ADFs with SPW dmg 1 only ,since I'm using 23 (unlimited) in this clip ,I decided to run the dmg 2 instead ,after all ,if u are good at running away ,you don't need the plan B anyway

@G.Moos The other players are not dodging if you look. The radar is top-down only too, so the missile looks like it is going really slow until it matches altitude. The other players were just awful from the looks of it anyways. They noticed early on that they were being snipped and rose to his altitude after a bit, but once he went to 8,000 ft they just sank back into the clouds again!

It's either hardcore fans or people who just picked up the game. I usually have no trouble dodging so I don't really care. I got hit once I think.
