Rest in pizza, Shoji Tabuchi. May your contributions to Red Letter Media and Branson live on.
Loved this, Mutton Hollow was a very small park, and I miss it alot. It's ashame it was taken out when the highway went through. I enjoyed Mutton Hollow very much. Thanks for sharing this video! ❤
This is so good!
"It's said that Knoxville, TN is the home of country. If that's the case, then Branson, MO is the little get-away of country" SO GOOD
Back when Missouri license plates were still red! Never heard of Mutton Hollow. I feel like 90% of everything featured in this video is no longer around, but what a great artifact. Thanks for posting it. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed it! I have the VHS tape that this came from which is a great time capsule for sure!
I have very fond memories of branson. My grandfather lived there for some years and we would visit every once in a while. He even got to know Micky personally! This is for sure a tourist destination for old folk no doubt but it's still a worth while visit if you're one for entertainment
.
Yeah, even as a kid in the early 2000's, it always seemed like a tourist town for older people who had trouble traveling. Pretty much the same story today, except smartphones and the acceleration of Web 2.0 might be the cause for it slowing down in popularity.
Branson was great in the 90s gone down hill in the last 10-15 years
Back when Rockaway was cool and a family spot
Mutton Hollow sounds almost like Silver Dollar City
Mutton Hollow was bought out by SDC and was renamed Celebration City. It was a big flop. It only lasted a couple of years.🦨 All of the Vegas performers have left Branson years ago. A lot of the theaters have been repurposed or simply torn down. There's still some good entertainment in Branson. But, a lot of the performers from the '90s and early 2000 that made Branson famous have either moved on or passed away. Some of the newer shows are so expensive, they prohibit family attendance.
