My first thought even before it was mentioned was that it's disappointing there's nowhere to attach a shoulder strap. Being able to carry this messenger style would make it perfect.

Any idea if the Tech Folio 16 will fit inside the laptop compartment of the Travel Pack 3, with nothing but the laptop inside?
Use case would be to remove the laptop, in the case, should you be forced to check the carryon.

That piece of nylon is a zipper guard to prevent scratches on your laptop, not "extra padding"

Check out TomToc Urban H14. Cheaper and better in all ways, ie has a sling, better laptop padding..
