Modern and ancient historical city that has a lot to offer and your travel guide makes it easier for the next visitors. What a great museum including preserved Roman barge!
Wonderful showing of Arles! It has been on my bucket list for a long time. I have a Provence trip planned that has never been taken - yet. Well done, my friend 👍. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend 😀.
Wow! Very beautiful and informative video, my friend! Thank you for sharing the beautiful, antique landscapes and museum of historic city of Arles in France with detailed explanations! I enjoyed watching your video until the end! Great sharing, my friend! Hello! Greetings again from 100tour KOREA! Stay in touch, my friend! See you! Have a beautiful day!
Thanks for giving us this wonderful tour. So many great views of the historic ruins and amazing buildings. Also, great information and narration. Have a nice week.👍👍
Ciao, my friend!! Arles looks absolutely charming and interesting to visit! What a historic and beautiful place . A wonderful heritage! Definitely a location to visit for sure! And, as always, a great presentation. All the best and happy new week! Renata 👍👏
Indeed it was very odd especially compared to all the super historic stuff that is everywhere else in the city. Thanks for watching, cheers from barnyz
It is a city with many places full of history and archaeology, ideal for art lovers like me. I will definitely have to visit it one day. I didn't know there was such a large Roman Empire presence there. Thanks for the tour, my friend!! 👍
Thanks Barneyz, We walked around Arles today using the Advantage Pass as you described to visit the ancient sites. It was wonderful and we particularly loved Les Cloistres . I will take your advice and visit the Museum of old Arles sometime this week too.
Thank you, I'm very happy the video is helpful. I'm sure you will love the museum - I really enjoyed looking at the boat and all the scale models when I was there. 👍👍👍
Only been to France once and it never stopped raining for one second in the 3 days we were there. Loved all the history there, especially the Roman history, with the amphitheatre being totally amazing. The church reminded me of a smaller version of Durham cathedral and Arles really was a mic of the old and the new, with great views from the Luma Tower. A very interesting place I had never heard of before, cheers Alan
Thanks Alan, it rained a fair bit on our trip as well (but it was in November so probably to be expected). overall Arles was lovely, definitely worth a visit! cheers from barnyz
It's easy to see why Van Gogh fell in love with the place. Excellent video guys. We visited the town several years ago, but we missed a lot of these places. The video footage looks sensational. I'm glad you mentioned the arena became a fortified Hamlet (Human ingenuity). Thank you for the video and rekindling an interest to return to this wonderful region. Best wishes Barnyz. Have a good weekend. Cheers. 🍻✌️
Thank you. Arles was awesome, and the arena was really outstanding and distinctive with its medieval towers. I hope you return someday. Have a great week cheers from barnyz
Beautiful amphitheater and numerous vestiges linked to Roman domination. If Van Gogh was inspired by it, there must be a reason. Camera movements always perfect. Hi Barnyz, happy Sunday!
Thank you very much. I think Arles has some of the best Roman monuments outside of Italy, its really fascinating place. Have a great week cheers from barnyz
Thank you. We struggled to find any places. It was off season and so many places in the old town were shut. I'm sure there are some... but if I go again I would probably do some more research about where to go
What a beautiful place Barnyz, Arles is not somewhere I've heard of before, but looks like a spectacular place to explore. I love the underground corridors in particular. The pass sounds like a great idea. It has such an Italian vibe about it. The Luma looked cool too. The fact that it was so quiet was great too.
Thank you. Yes, it's odd that it's so quiet (probably because it was november) as it's a really amazing city with so much stuff to see. Overall, the south of France does seem quiet in winter, which is perfect for me 🙂🙂🙂

Another efficient and really helpful video summary, Barny. How is the restaurant/bar/cafe scene? Lots of good places to eat and drink?

Going to Arles in June. Thanks for posting.

Ah me too 😊
@@andromedanereid3907 I hope you have a great time as well

The tower is really ugly. From far away it looks it is covered in tarps and scaffoldings. They should have hired architects
I believe they still host bullfighting - dreadfull!
Agreed a dreadful thing :(
