Cost is a bigger issue with home elevators, a faster one that's still reliable enough, would be more expensive. This sort of thing would be an alternative of sorts to moving into assisted living. You could also move chairs, small furniture, flat pack furniture, a stack of boxes or whatever without actually riding with them. Just put the stuff in and either call it from below, or press the floor button and duck out the door.
Or you could use a thing called stairs which are much faster and you get more exercise try them instead of getting a lift that will take longer and it will be a waist of space and a waist of money
