    I owned a 1974 GTV, purchased used in 1983 for $2400.00. Drove it, stored it and sold it 2 years ago for $5000.00. If I had kept it and put $95,000.00 into a restoration it would be worth $100,000.00 today , aw shucks.

      I feel you bro. I bought one in Australia in 84 for 1700 then let it rust for 15 years in my backyard then sold it for 200 to the wreckers. With the interior in excellent condition with just a bad rusted sill.

    Thanks for your informative video...I bought a 1966 Alfa-Romeo Giulia Sprint Gt four years ago for $2000, threw it down in my garage without giving it a thought but after watching your video I now realize I own the coveted gtv because it has the four leaf clover on the c pillar, seven rib Alfa grill with three bars and mesh underneath...also looked at the vin plate riveted under the hood, it states Veloce clearly..I think 20k is enough to fully restore this car, it starts and drives has a few rusted spots on the rear lid and floor pans are rusting also, has the wrong wheels...I’m in Jamaica so I will restore and ship it out to the USA in a year, hope you guys will be interested in purchasing..👍👍

    Bought my 1964 Step Nose in 1999 ahead of the curve....car was beautiful and solid but needed some updating (previous owner, who was the second owner) had a roll bar and racing (Sparco) seats installed....I quickly got rid of both and found Veloce seats which I reupohlstered (including the back seats)....I drove it hard for 18 years and then stripped it out to bare metal....car was solid but is now rock solid and restored everything....just got it back 2 years later and it will be passed on to my son.....FORZA ALFA BABY !!!!

    I am sure you are right . The original example is the best because it was the original design. The earlier slotted wheels, correct steering wheel and horn button make it . Latest is called Unificato 'cos all versions identical except the 2.0 had different bumpers, larger back lights , aluminium wheels and a badge on the side. I can see your red one has some flows, back lights, bumpers and wheels are not original. Check it out. If you are intersted in inporting this car comment below.

    No, it's not a $100K car, unless it's (a) a rare and pristine example of a mid-60's Sprint GTA or (b) a rotisserie restored and/or heavily retromoded car like an Alfaholics GTA 290-R. But looking at the posters' Miami dealership site and what they're trying to charge for a basic GTV, I'm sure they'd like to create such a market.

    • @GastonRossato
      @GastonRossato  5 років тому +2

      Mike K I think you’re not quite up to date on today’s market. Read some of the comments on this video for a quick gain on a global market prospective. The cars you mention are indeed the top tear GTA/V’s - I agree, but I think you’re selling yourself short at $100k. A GTA today will run you $300k+ and go order an Alfaholics GTA-R and see what they tell you. Additionally, what you find advertised it’s not what I think I should ask, but in fact based on previously sold cars (by us). Besides why would you mind what it costs?
