Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal and when possible, i seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks & responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. Their could be nails, Asbestos, Falling concrete soft floors, animals or other hazards. Post ten I used to stay their with my parents when I was little around 1970. The barn had a couple of ponies for us kids to ride. Also that pet rock was part of a play gym out in that field. Just an old roadside motel. Each room was cozy blue and pink with a coffee pot on that table. The satellite was new. wounder when the old place closed?

I remember staying in a lot of $35 motels in the 70s and 80s during road trips as a kid. Grandma would insist on inspecting the room before we got any suitcases out of the car.
The Queen City Motel in Marquette, MI has room #16 which is in the stairs. It’s their emergency room. Smaller than those in this video. Just a single bed, a chair and TV, plus a tiny shower and toilet. Cost me $16 in 1987 to rent daily while taking the nursing boards. Who needs all that space if all you need is a place to sleep and wash up?

Interesting how they have HD DTV dishes are there. HD ones are more oval and SDs are fully round. HD DTV came out around 2010 if I’m not mistaken. So the dishes also kinda help with when it could of been abandoned.

Camping off grid is free & a YMCA has showers, pool, saunas, Jacuzzi, etc ./ Not sure about tuck stops in this day & age.
But pink tubs....were the 40's era give or take.....
I stayed in New Jersey a a Hunter's Lodge & it was cute & unique back in '2000-2001 & the retired owner said it was that old era in time.
As we say in the UK, the room is so small, when you turn out the light you can be in bed before it gets dark.
The smell is so bad, even the barn swallows checked out early.
What a waste..America is full of abandoned hotels ,houses ,buildings ,etc

the thing is, they found a place where they could stay and then poop in it. that will make it uninhabitable eventually. what are they thinking? poop inside and no flush, lose home- get rid of poop and have home forever, no problem. but they cannot find that kind of reasoning.
