Fact:
The places where mommy long legs were watching u from is where the scientists would watch the children. The cracks in the walls towards the end leaded into a big room with wheel chairs and blood. This was the room that the scientists turned children into toys in. Hope this helps!

@@tay_05some of the notes explain that the purpose of the Game Station was to test the children. Musical Memory is to test for composure and memory skills, Wack-A-Wuggy is to test hand-to-eye coordination and focus, and the Statue game is to test speed, strength and agility. They mentioned that there was a room that the scientists stayed in to observe the children from a safe distance. And the name of the room that Mommy Long Legs is in is called the "Observation Room". Plus, she was the toy assigned to the children because of her gentle and docile nature towards them, so she would've known all about this room. A lot of the children never came back out again after finishing the test, something that is said by Mommy herself. She says something along the lines of "the children called me Mommy cause I was the closest thing they ever had to one. They would come in to play games, and never come back out. They left Mommy to die alone. But you worked here (referring to us, the player) if anyone deserves to die alone, it's you)". From this, it can be assumed that the children were turned into toys after they succeeded in the games/tests. It's never explicitly said though, it's basically just putting 2 and 2 together.

@@Tristan1886 its the fact that he said he is absorbed in the game if you are really in the game then you wont hear your phone or when recording normally just put it on silent but since he texted while playing then ok he can like it but absorption wouldnt be the correct term
Pretty late to this, but few things I noticed: (All up for speculation)
- The voice-over for the game station, 'Stella' was the same person in one of Chapter 1's tapes
- PJ, the Pug-a-Pillar, has the same voice as Scooby-doo, including the extra noises which are quite similar
- The flower, one of the cutouts with a voice box, it's a sunflower, so possibly Flowey (It's a bit of a stretch though)
- Poppy, 'I'm a real girl' (Pinocchio), but she also gives off the vibe of Annabelle
- Sir Poops A lot, which was an extra toy, an off-brand Freddy (FNAF)
Extra Easter-Eggs: Jacksepticeye's Tape, Markipliers Birthday, didn't anything else...
the flowers name is daisy and the woman named stella is the woman from the first chapter.

It says Elliot experienced a family death, and we’ve heard the theory that the toys are being made out of people. Maybe this is another William Afton immortality issue where he’s trying to find ways to bring back his dead relative
EDIT: Okay okay now that I’ve watched the whole thing, in mommy’s death she says “You’ll make me a part of him!” Or something similar then gets dragged away by the beldam needle claws. Maybe this IS a William Afton thing, but Elliot made HIMSELF a creature. All the toys were his practiced experiments from employees (and maybe orphans, since mommy mentioned her being the closest thing to a mother the kids had) and they’re all scared of him.

Daz's skill in all these puzzles, even under intense pressure, is admirable. It's crazy how great he is at these games. I loved the longer video :)

@@jarielwilliams9856 yes, but he can't do everything perfect and quick it's still a complicated puzzle, he would do it faster then a lot of people, and ofc he panics its a horror game, not that scary but still you never know what can happen in these games, so no one can be relaxed by playing them

i absolutely love how alive all the characters in this game feel. you never see any good horror games where the monster/enemy's eyes move and they give long monologues and have conversations, if one sided, with the player. the animations and movements are perfect too. im obsessed.

It's honestly reminiscent of Portal! The way they animated glados and wheatley at the end, is similar, but this game has even more emotion and smoothness, seeing as they aren't robots.

5:04 fun fact about the drawings for those of you who aren’t in the Poppy Playtime Discord. They had a contest where they would select drawing made by the fans to be put into the game (Concept was your a kid in the 80s sending drawings of you and your favorite toys to Eliot Ludwig) and these were obviously the winners. Sadly mine did not make it but I’m still very proud of myself for submitting something. Congratulations to the people who did win the contest.

I have a theory about the musical memory and what Poppy was humming in the vents. When she is trying to guide you to escape then gets taken by Mommy Long Legs, she's humming a song, what song was it?
When you're in musical memory and the game bugs out, what song is it playing? Obviously it's really tricky to make out the notes while the narrator is talking over saying the words and letters etc but could it be the same thing Poppy was humming?? Just a random thought that came to mind that never has before

It’s the idea of a mother figure who’s supposed to be nice and sweet and caring. But,it becomes scary when they become twisted and insane as it’s a juxtaposition between something that is supposed to be kind and lovely, and then is actully sadistic and controlling. The idea of disobedience is just something you would expect of a mother figure: punishment and disobedience.
I decided to put on a video to fall asleep to last night and chose this one and by the time I was falling asleep she said “wake up” at 1:42 and I woke up so fast it’s not even funny.

i haven’t seen many comments about this but at 33:12 THIS PART FREAKED ME OUT SO MUCH ?! the way the huggy wuggy thing (think it might be called kissy missy?) is so spatially aware and looks back and fourth to the player and the lever like - also the way they just walk away and never actually attacks the player… literal shivers

loved the gameplay, daz! never fails to make me laugh. though, i did wish you'd leave in most of the edited parts out where you solve the puzzles and such! also kind of gets distracting when you get on your phone but that might just be my personal petpeeve lol

🚨 So lore theory:
The maker of the playtime company takes the children who pass the “fun” tests with high marks, and uses them to create these monsters. Mommy herself said that the kids who take the aptitude tests (sorry, “GAMES”) don’t have a mother and she’s the only mother for them.
I have a vibe that he’s trying to keep his daughter alive via a toy, and is perfecting the ability WHILE making military aide tools.
I’m sad about the whole stupid NFT thing, and I definitely feel like they didn’t use Mommy to her full potential. I was hoping to see her slithering around, or her crawling around like a spider. The puzzles and walking around was repetitive as hell.
I came upon the same realisation too, it's a purely sinister disguise to label the most successful at these games as the perfect "test subjects" and ones that would serve as a catalyst for these toys.
Either way the story is bloody amazing thus far.

Did anyone notice how the lady who’s voice directed the kids through each of the games sounded very similar to the lady in the job interview in the previous game, (the one talking about death and imagination)…?
She literally says her name is Stella which she also said on the interview tape. She is also credited as doing the voices of Poppy and Stella
Its the same girl, in the tape she was called Stella, in chapter 2, she introduced herself as stella

I love Dazes long game plays! My kids kept talking about poppy's playhouse and I had no idea what they where talking about lol I'm a bit disturbed that they like this at 9 5 and 4 lol I'm guessing my oldest showed them? Lol I'm thinking they haven't watched the game play tho. Just the little kid videos about the game.. I hope😨😅
This game is so well designed, and the story being told is perfect! I can't even begin to explain the feelings I had while this chapter progressed! My mind and heart are racing!

I think I know exactly what the big twist is. The whole time, Poppy was Elliot Ludwig, and everything that's happened is him setting you up. Mommy Long Legs seems to imply this. And since her last (probably not dying) words were, “You'll make me part of him.” I think this leads to two possibilities. Either Elliot is using the tortured souls of his victims to keep himself alive, or he's using them to rebuild himself and resume his reign of terror.
So cool that they made a little Markiplier easter egg by saying his birthday just to make him shit himself lol.
The whack a wuggy was horrifying, all the crawling, then hearing the growling when they got close. WHEW!
Mrs. Wuggy was just adorable, I wish Daz stayed near her so I can see what else happened.

I WAS THINKING THE EXACT SAME THING!!! and its just like the scene where coraline is escaping the other mother. the other mother is screaming in the exact same weird voice saying "DONT LEAVE MEEE". and she also says she's the closest thing to a mother for the kids. and not to mention her name is literally MOMMY?!?!??!

I was waiting for Daz to play Chapter 2. This chapter is way more brutal and interesting than chapter 1 and gets me excited for the next chapters. Mommy was a great character and villain. Jack's cameo was awesome and Mommy's death was very brutal and interesting. I think the games you play are tests for the kids to see which ones are better to do experiments on because the games seem really complicated and weird for little kids. If so than that is very dark. It makes me wonder what happened to Huggy Wuggy after he fell in chapter one and what that thing did with Mommy's corpse. I still don't know if Jack's character was talking about that thing that took Mommy's corpse or Mommy herself. I feel like it collects the corpses and is gonna make them all into one creature similar to Ennard from FNAF Sister Location.

The devs did an amazing job with this game, and that's the understatement of the century. I was just as terrified watching Daz play this as I would be playing the game myself.

I can't wait to see everyone's playthroughs. NGL, my 1st thought when that hand grabbed Mommy, was that the Beldam/Other Mother was going to be involved lol couldn't make Coralinw her doll so she made Poppy, and all kinds of other toys to keep her company. I did see the tape about it being another creation that got loose, though. They made it seem like the sentient toys they made were fine and followed orders be l but he infected them with his bad attitude? I guess lol but that's what made when turn on the humans.
i love how they do the animations so well with the story behind the game as well, it makes the story and game come to life.

Yes and in the last tape we get told that that metal hand is the prototype. it’s something big and terrifying. the ‘prototype’ was never Huggy, rather huggy was the better version of it. i can’t wait to see more.
