Lol Dave always has to try bring it back to aew and pretend WWE isn't on a whole different level stories in WWE add so much to the matches that you can just get invested more in aew good matches sure but who cares really
@@judshuttie70 its one thing to have good matches, but if you dont have interesting people or stories involved in that match, then people wont show up and it will be all for nothing.
They can get to Rock v Roman if they reveal that Rock is behind Solo's betrayal.
Solo Sikoa and Paul Heyman not only getting one of the loudest pops of the year but simultaneously turning Reigns face while he's been off TV for months has to definitively prove that a good story is better than a good match 100% of the time.
That would make a lot of sense for FAKE pro wrestling

Roman already was face lol. They're just ramping it up even further.
It's not the story - it's the performers and the fans. The story is itself a repeat of countless "power struggle within the faction" with little meat around the bone. But fans like Paul, fans like Roman... Solo? He's attached himself to two people more over than he could hope to be.
Why do fans like Paul again? Well, he's historically attached himself to acts that are over, for one, and for another he has a mouth and delivery like few others. He may be an obnoxious sycophantic grifter in real life, he does gets wrestling fans heated one way or the other. And Roman has been VERY over since returning from his initial cancer diagnosis with the "coolness" factor of the Bloodline (lots of clever marketing decisions with that one) helping to cement the initial good will heat.
Nobody at wwe are worried bout topping some indie ladder match lol

This was awesome. The pop when Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman returns will be massive.
The shock of the crowd when Roman gets brutalized in that moment will be crazy. The story has to be that he needs his usos…. All 3 of them

I don’t think you can have Roman come back and get jumped like that. I think you need Paul Heyman returning with a neck brace on, the new Bloodline surrounds him, then Paul gets his evil grin on his face… Brock Lesnar music hits. Brock comes out like a mad man, the Bloodline scatters. Then you have Lesnar vs Fatu. Brock puts Fatu over with help from Bloodline interference. The numbers game is catching up to Lesnar until the Usos reunite.
Then… and finally then… when Lesnar & the Usos look to be just outnumbered, Roman Reigns music hits. Reigns makes his slow walk out onto the stage and is furiously glaring at Solo.
Reigns return pop will be of epic proportions

Yeah Dave, I'm sure a ladder match with Jey Uso, Chad Gable, LA Knight, Andrade, and Carmelo Hayes plus Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, or Ilya Dragunov is going to have a really hard time topping the ladder match filled with a bunch of jobbers that was won by Jungle Boy

The storytelling is on another level. Even having Paul denounce Solo in NYC is super smart. They knew he’d get that pop in NY. Just elite booking by HHH

Back in the days, Roddy Piper really didn't like Greg Valentine when he first showed up. There was a whole thing about Lou Albano (then a heel) trying to get Piper to lighten up.
Why? Well, in the NWA the two had a very violent, bloody feud that featured a legendary and very brutal dog collar match. Piper busted his ear drum in the match.
Yeah, they allowed Piper to allude to something that happened in the NWA on WWF TV. But more importantly, it showed continuity. No Ricky Steamboat teaming with hated foes Jake Roberts and Randy Savage less than a year after their feuds because "oh we're all babyfaces now, so I forgive you for the DDT on the concrete and the whole crushing my larynx stuff."

Sami is not going to be involved. You can forget about that right now. If what i hear is true, the OG Bloodline lineup is going to consist of Roman, Jimmy, and possibly Hikuleo and Zilla. The bottom line is that the other 3 members of the OG Bloodline squad are going to acknowledge Roman as the true Tribal Chief.
That was the best moment for WWE since Mania. The arena is going to explode when Roman makes his return.

The Bloodline stuff is mostly Heyman, with some input here and there from Reigns and Rock on occasions, but it’s mostly Heyman.
Can Heyman finish a story though? The Bloodline is following on the heels of the nWo at the moment with the dueling factions. Is there an end game? Can there be one?

There is some stuff Heyman did in ECW that made me scratch my head when watching and reading up stuff about the original ECW.
Like giving the ECW world title to Mikey Whipreck, as a big head scratcher.
Because the original ECW was before my time, As I was born in 1996.
But the 2005 ECW One Night Stand PPV is my all time favourite wrestling PPV, and that was mostly all RVD and Heyman. RVD pitched the idea and it was Heyman who was in charge of the show.
Heyman to me is fantastic at storytelling though. And Heyman learned everything from Dusty Rhodes.
So I wished Heyman was the main guy running creative in WWE.
Roman/Usos reuniting with maybe Cody or Sami with them will be a massive pop too. Will be fun
Here’s the thing about “great” AEW matches: their fans forget about them very quickly. It’s almost like unless you have a lesbian 3 way, they don’t have stories people remember or care about

It’s taken forever, but they are finally going to get the babyface Roman that they always wanted.

My hope is we get a Survivor Series : War Games of the New Bloodline vs Reigns, Usos and The Rock.
From Solo’s perspective…. Reigns and his brothers brought him in and he did what was asked, never spoke up, never spoke back. Everything was good. Then things disintegrated. Usos lost the Tag titles at Mania 39 and never got back. Rock comes back, things escalate.
At Mania 40, Sikoa stays out of the way of The Usos match, stays out of the way of Night 1’s Main event, then does his part to perfection on Night 2 (hits Rhodes with Samoan Spike as planned, him getting an AA from Cena wasn’t what they planned could happen).
Reigns is gone, Jay’s on RAW, Jimmy’s wounded so Solo puts him down. Solo (who’s done everything asked of him and really hasn’t done much wrong that hurts the Bloodline) believes in all the trappings of The Bloodline and now builds his own. He wants to do what Roman did…. But better. A Bloodline now where Jacob Fatu is the new Solo, one where Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa bring the tag belts back into the family, and finally, where Solo Sikoa becomes the World Champion AND the new Tribal Chief.
It’ll be amazing when Roman looks at Solo, says ‘I know you built all this by myself…. but you weren’t anointed Solo……. I’M THE TRIBAL CHIEF….. ACKNOWLEDGE ME !!!’

Repeating stories, you mean. Pro wrestling has been rehashing stories for decades. It's the performers and fans who change and make things work or not work. The wrong fans with the wrong performer will bring bad results.

@@AdrianBeegoatz CM Punk is good at marketing himself and has a great delivery. We've seen that talking is all it really takes, but then stand up comedians could tell you that.
There are stand up comedians and other artists who never take a bump and would outdraw anyone on the WWE roster. At this stage, why take bumps and wrestle anyway if you can get more money and fame by simply talking? The rings and in-ring action are just in the way of the talking.
A lot of guys would be out of a job, but hey, that's showbiz.

40 minutes of cumming over the AEW show. 5 minutes of talking about Smackdown. Pretty typical. They spent the same amount of time talking about the main event of the door show as they did talking about all of Smackdown. Pretty cool stuff definitely not biased at all.
Bryan seems genuinely happy to be seeing some great storytelling. And Dave seems disheartened.
