Just got one earlier this week for my commuter e-bike bike... 14.9 miles each way on a combination of rural and improved roads at speeds of between 20 and 25mph. Love it. Integrated nicely on my RadCity 5+. Like the fact that it is entirely integrated... no cables. I swear the light it throws off is as good as my pick up truck. Awesome 3 year warranty too. All of the marketing seems to be geared towards trail riding, but good lighting is super-important for commuting because of (1) critters on rural roads, (2) tree debris on rural roads, and (3) trash on the shoulders of improved roads. I leave for work well before first light and use the adaptive high power setting, and as first light comes on I switch to the medium power mode and then to the low power mode. I didn't get fancy packaging like Loam Roamer described... just cardboard packaging but it was first class - zero issues. I have well over 15 years worth of time bicycle commuting for one way distances that ranged between 12 and 17 miles, and this is the best light I've ever had. The light was expensive but worth every penny in my opinion.
As tempting as a cheap light from Amazon would be this looks like the kind of light where you get what you pay for. Ordered my light combo after watching this review today and will go in my first night ride next week!
I have the Trail, Hangover and now been running the Evo for a few months The quality of the light beam is unmatched by anything I’ve yet to come across Their customer service is excellent! Any issue I ever had was met with shockingly fast response
I have plugged in a battery, but it burns faster than charging, so yeah, wish that was set up differently. I get about 3 hours, but don't ride in high all the time either. Or they could have made the battery pack changeable, that would rock!
Phenomenal review, just what I needed before breaking the bank on this lighting system. Thank you!
Yes. I love the idea of an American maker doing something that kicks ass. I just got mine and loved your review. Thx!
Awesome!

@@toddbz how does the trail light compare with the evo? Is it worth the extra cost?
@@kaverp66 Performance wise I'd say it's equal.
If you value the freedom to ditch the battery pack, then it's for you
Just ordered my set last night. Great review thanks !
Great review! These lights look like a winner.
Thank you!
Thanks for this, great job!
I heard the battery will tend to slip down out of position on its mount on bump roads
I have not had the lights move at on all extreme terrain while mountain biking. The older setup with a cable and battery, I did not have this either.
@@LoamRoamer thanks
Great review and video - would you be able to add links into the video details to the products? thanks!
Done
Nice review. But not going to ride in the cold? We ride in the teens lol..
I don't live where it gets that cold very often, so in other words, not a test I will be performing.
I was weary of the product because of the price but after seeing the light in action at night on a friends bike I ordered one.
How is the Outbound lighting holding up?
This time of year I use it 2-3 nights a week. I've yet to have an issue.
I use them for MTB , Gravel, Road.
To get a 3 to 4 hour ride in you need a remote battery, wish they had that option.
