This one is a whopper! This is an extensive review & comparison of three different budget wireless video transmitters, all three at different price points: Hollyland Mars 400S, AndyCine Benbox, and Accsoon CineEye. Tried my best to re-create real world scenarios since due to the current state of affairs I don't have a lot of freelance gigs going on. Since this one is a biggie, I've created a Table of Contents.

Could you let us know what stand you use for your ipad at 2:03?
It's all in this video right here: ua-cam.com/video/rwTU4Pa7i1w/v-deo.html
Justin Phillip wow instant reply? Instant subscribe!
Lam Huynh 🤣 Thanks!
@@JustinPhillip so which one have the less latency? which one from the list is the best for focus pulling?
Quality and effort put into this video is 👌🏻. Great video
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Hey Justin, great review! I work here in NYC. I own d the Andycine and found it unusable in the city... The connectivity was atrocious. I ended up returning it and picking up the Hollyland... And I have to say I love it... Never an issue.
WiFi vs Radio , i noticed that too, on the features, when we were in metro areas, way worse than in desert locations
Your sickest gear review vet
best, Rick
Rick Vestuto Appreciate that! Hope all is well! 🙌🏼
Thank you Justin for this great review and tests.
Honestly, I'm a little scared of the latency. I wouldn't have thought that with Mars.
I am very happy with my Connex solution. Unfortunately without an app, but it's ok for me.
Thank you brother..i choose cine eye
Great review man. Very thorough.
thanks!
Great video! Maybe Teradek could send you an Ace 500 to test 😃
I wish!
Can't decide strictly between cineeye and benbox. They are too similar.
Amazing instructive video mate, subbed! Can you please tell me if the benbox can transmit focus peaking overlay from the camera? I noticed you are only outputting clean feed from the pocket camera.
yeah if you output it , everything will show up. Sadly i dont like to do that, because i simultaneously record proxies to the BMD HDR Video Assist
what do you reckon about the hollyland mars x vs cineeye ?
Next time, just click on the time(pocket 4/6k) so it switch to the timecode, set it to 60p recording and send that to the HDMI output. This way, you can actually look at the frame number written in the time code to find the delay between your reference monitor and the remote monitor
Also, there is apparently less delay on the cineeye using an apple device
Marc Olivier Chouinard Nice tip! Yeah idk, i used iPad for this video
Really need your help man. How did you change the colour of focus peaking to blue on your bmpcc 4k? I just can't find any article or tutorial.
Its only on the Black Magic Monitor I think
Pretty sure it was on the bmpcc 4k screen
does the Accsoon CineEye transmit audio
Sadly it doesn't !!
@@mochouinard new product will be have ~
Cineeye allow up to 4 device as well. You should have tested the wifi of the hollyland for start up comparaison. I have super quick cineeye connection because I bought Amazon Fire 7 which only have the cineeye connection, so it pair to it right away ! My biggest issue is when the cineeye just doesn't work ! And no explanation as to why. Yesterday it did it again... Blackscreen with no message on both of my tablet, tried different HDMI port and nothing worked... Thankfully I had the Nyrius Arie Pro which work fine for the director monitor, but I normally reserve the Nyrius to the focus puller since compare to all the option you tested, the Nyrius have no lag like the teradek or the hollyland cosmos series devices.
the paperwork for my CineEye says 2 devices...but its one of the first models, so probably original firmware
@@JustinPhillip now cineeye is work to 4 devices
FIRE 7?which mode ?
Unfortunately the comment about number of devices the CineEye can connect to is incorrect, the original can accept five connections and it’s the smaller slim second release (not the new CineEye 2) that is limited to two devices.
TheTechnoPilot Yeah, a firmware update. I’ve had this original CineEye since it came out, and it originally only allowed up to two devices
Great video so far! Interested in checking out the benbox as a secondary option to my cineeye. I haven’t tested it, but isnt the cineeye advertised as being able to connect to 4 or even more devices? I could be wrong.
Nope, only two on my paperwork 🤷🏻♂️
@@JustinPhillip Cineeye Air is 2 device max. The regular Cineeye (like the one you have) is 4 devices.
Marc Olivier Chouinard Weird, the paperwork for mine says 2. BUT, mine is from when they first came out, like a year ago, so maybe they updated the firmware since then
Thanks for this very usefull comparison!!! I was looking for a low cost solution for a wireless directors-monitor and I was going to buy the CineEye and a used IPad but than I discovered one big advantage of the Benbox. It's the only one that can connect to a MacBook (which I allready own). So the Benbox will be way cheaper to me...
I never got that feature to work. So idk. Maybe now with newer firmware. 🤷🏻♂️ Have you found anyone online that can confirm that?
@@JustinPhillip Yes here in this video you can see that it works (at least for this guy)..: ua-cam.com/video/2ulbXFLeAac/v-deo.html
I don't completely understand that fps signal speed. Can I shoot 120fps on my pocket 4k or would it be a problem? Also, would the crop apply to the view field? I heard you have to set it on som emonitors... Cheers!
Hey look, more things to lust after that I can't afford! But as it's one of your videos, I'm sure it'll be great and informative.
😂😂 The Benbox is only $109! 😮
@@JustinPhillip Ah, I can afford that. I just built a new editing PC though so I'm resisting buying more camera gear.
Also, you shouting at the camera for the latency tests 😂
Izzie 🤣🤣 i was wondering if anyone would notice that LoL dont ask🤣
Hey man
Just here learning more about these wireless video transmitters. Question
I read that some of em transmit audio. Can they be used to monitor audio off-cam? Say, if someone else wanted to monitor the audio on an interview or something.
some of them do...but if you dont want horrible latency...you'll have to spend north of 4 grand.
@@JustinPhillip haha yes 😅 I notice that the latency may be a bit too much for monitoring speech. However do you think it can work once the audio isn’t being monitored exactly “LIVE”, like if the person monitoring audio is in another room perhaps?
@@kendallbarthelmy2881 I did a video on that: ua-cam.com/video/O_PMcIQLlgg/v-deo.html
Will the Andycine bendbox work on the camera connected to the atem mini switcher Pro and what is the longest distance range
Just bought the Ben, for basic visual. Yup, I’m “one man band.” 😂
is there any one these that can use more than one in the same area without interference ?
anyone knows any wireless system can do 120fps?
I’m confused. If first AC’s in the industry don’t rely on monitors to pull focus then what do they use to pull focus?
Esteban Caicedo There is an elite group that actually use those little focusing marks on the lenses 😉
What about image quality between those three- on Ipad?
Does the Benbox transmit audio too?
Hi thanks for review!
I haw Benbox and I realize that its not connecting from external monitor out.Only works if I connecting directly from camera, was trying Ninja 5, Shogun 7 and feelword monitor output, all of them dont connecting on Benbox ,How you solve this problem? I haw Panasonic GH5S and SONY a7III.Thanks
Not sure, It’s probably problems with limitations with the monitor itself. All of these were done coming out of the HDR Video Assist
Hey!
I know it’s been 2 years - But i am thinking About getting the Benbox too but i am worried because i would love to use it with my feelworld Monitor out Signal - did you, by and Chance, manage to fix this issue in the Last 2 years?
Thanks for any help - Greetings from Germany
where can i view the film choices?
G L Just shot it in January 🤷🏻♂️
What about loading custom lut in benbox..i think it is not possible
Yes you can load LUT into Benbox
@@JustinPhillip Thank you..sorry to ask again, i mean our own lut..not the luts provided by benbox. Please confirm 🙏
yum
Hollyland should have sent mars x
does the benbox transmit audio
We Shoot Films No audio for the benbox
