I can appreciate the subtlety of Rickles now that im older. His routine, the self-deprecation, the timing and facial expressions...really was a solid comedian.
Most comics need writers. Bob Hope comes to mind. But no one could and will ever think of something funny to say spontaneously and on his feet than Don Rickles. Just naturally talented.

Just when you think you're done last laughing from the last joke they bust out a knee slapper and before you know it you're just about rolling on the floor. All comics, SNL actors, etc are underrated and everyone is always like omg drama??? you can do drama too... comedy is harder. comedy is just drama in different context.

Seen Mr. Don Rickles in Las Vegas back in the 70s. He was Fantastic. His Humor now would have alot of Backlash. Politically correct now. Miss those days back then. R.I.P. Mr. Rickles. Thank You for those great times. Through the years.

Part probably wasn't as big as he wanted and that's why he was getting mad. He didn't want to talk about it. He was embarrassed to not have a huge part for a huge star.
