My old metal band ran many practices and shows through a JBL PA system and it took a lot of abuse yet still worked flawlessly. Been eye-balling your stuff lately. When the next project takes off, we'll be cranking through JBL, that's for sure.
competitive model to the RCF gear that is everywhere. Now just price this right, and you'll have it everywhere! Price it too high and it'll be slow to sell. Getting a used vertec would be just as good an option. That gear is readily available nowadays.
Nice. Why aren't the subs lockable though? Designing such a capable system, but having to use a strap for the subs, and those pin holes popping up from each top?
My all time favorite is still the SP (Sound Power) series for indoor shows…. Off all the live (inc array) models, the SP had the cleanest sound… never heard a better sound… not even with the best EAW, Master Audio system etc…
I'm disappointed with the 918's specs...I thought it would be slightly louder/deeper than the 818, but it's 1db quieter and 6hz less deep...I'll stick with my RCF 8004s :/
That's the same thing I thoight till I did a shootout side by side and It was very close in Output levels and Clarity yet the Jbl is about 1200 Dollars less and handle The Distortion peak level better. Do a Shoot out side by side you might Be surprised by the outcome and probably won't nead to spend $1300 more,
@@JayBsound The VRX is measured in whole space, no boundaries. You can 6-9 db depending on the placement of the sub. Now the question is, how is the numbers on the SRX obtained...
I got to hear the SRX900 series at a big event that had a "JBL certified system tuner" tuned the system and I was honestly unimpressed with the results. I thought personally they were designed exclusively for loudness and not quality.
Tech port city center in San Antonio sounds incredible. Very detailed and not loud just for being loud. I go to rock concerts and was able to hear vocals so much better than being at the AT&T center and other venues in the area including Austin

Almost all venues through out colorado (where im located now) have moved to getting max volume and most venues just reasonate into one tone at peak hour and you can't hear anything musical.

How does the SRX918SP compare to the VRX918SP ?
I’d assume it would be better or just as good in my opinion.
The VRX918SP plays lower (VRX:34hz vs SRX:45hz at -3db) but the SRX918SP is a lot louder (VRX:126db vs SRX:134db peak at 1m)
