Thank yousooo much for this video. I finally learned the correct technique, from you. I have been a looong time (10+ years) dancing social ballroom style. Your video is perfect for me. Next time, please make it so we are looking at your back (do not face us), so we can mimic and follow your steps. Maybe you can re-do this video from your back angle. Thank you very much again.
@@Passion4dancing . Hey! You noticed me! Well, I just entered `rumba basics` into Google search, and compared the demos. I hope I`m not hearing the music wrong, but I see many teachers starting ON the 1st beat, so 1-2-3-4 comes out as SLOW- quick quick. I`ve also seen Quick Quick SLOW - . See what you guys think (while I watch your vid again just for the pleasure:-)) One of the demos didn`t even have music - WTF? Much confusion/ignorance in my dance environment about this; the right timing is v difficult for most people, and even if a teacher teaches Rumba correctly, few understand - and even if they do, few can remember OR, if they do remember, they don`t manage to get it right when they`re let loose at a dance evening. However, when I go to Sequence Dancing evenings/classes (I hope this means the same to you as to me) everyone ALWAYS starts Sequence Rumbas on the 1st beat, QQS- Sequence Dance teachers know this and it it customary, although it means that the proper timing gets pushed even further into oblivion!

Thanks for this. Out of 7 demos I found, FOUR showed the wrong timing! XX
Really? What kind of timing did they use? There's really only one timing!
