  • This video tutorial shows how to include historical data into an existing dashboard that only has data for one period. It explains how to add a new year column to the data, incorporate it into the Power BI queries, and use slicers to view data for specific years. The video also covers how to create a line chart to visualize trends over time.

This is great. Very clear and guided tutorial which was easy to understand. I tried following along but couldn't get the line chart to quite work. In addition to the main page showing everything overall, what would be the correct steps to create a visual page for each region so that it shows that region and its corresponding units?

Line chart is simple. You just put values on one axis and period on the other axis.

Oh. check the field, does it show count or sum? It should be sum.
