    Thaaaaaaank you! I'm definitely an. SN but I'm not a 30yo actress in LA or interior designer in Williamsburg, which is what I feel the SN look works for. This is so helpful and I laughed when you said that for amethysts it seems not fair that we have to dress that way just because we have wide shoulders! That's exactly how I feel. Wide shoulders mean that you can wear the s*** out of anything and rock it, it doesn't mean we have to lack structure to soften ourselves.

    Okay, I admit I was skeptical because I remember you making a really strong move away from Kibbe content to focus on your own system, which I respected a lot, BUT! This short sweet and helpful format works so well! I’m convinced! And really excited for Soft Dramatic ideas 🥰 also your hair is amazing as usual

    I agree with creating visual cohesion, i always go for a head to toe look intuitively as a SN. I also think all your kind of "diagnoses" for each style key and the styling solutions make sense, i even missed a couple of the screen changes showing what key you were discussing but was able to identify the key based on your individual recommendations. I agree that for Ruby, it is good to focus more on freedom from the typical SN shapes, and for the up keys adding visual interest in a cohesive way remains true to SN and the individual's philosophy.

    okay so I was having a weird hair day but I wanted to make the video anyway. please let's all pretend that my hair actually looks amazing as usual (thank u)

    I almost jumped when you said "academia inspired" for soft natural moonstone. I am SN and always thought Academia wasn't for me (also because as a bright spring it seems i can not capture this nostalgic feeling)

    This was so interesting to see. As a SN with larger hips, I find a lot of the oversized jumpers type recommendations to not really work because they just tent around the hips. I also find our SN shoulders our most beautiful feature, so the whole oversized hiding your width approach doesn't vibe with me at all. Was nice to see some different suggestions

    • @chrysanthemum3087

      yes pls! Ruby SG here! I find i accidentally follow a lot of the “rules” for G naturally because well fitted clothes and broken lines feel ease-ful on my body, even though they are hard to find. I’ve resolved not to think about kibbe too much as a result- I don’t think it adds much to my outfits. But, out of curiosity I would love to see examples of enveloping and sensual for us staccato G family members. It seems lots of SG staples in particular lean toward a dreamy and refined mode because of the “staccato” concept.

    • @StyleThoughtsbyRita
      @StyleThoughtsbyRita  Рік тому +3

      I totally understand what you mean but I think there are lots of great SG examples on the "left" side like Vanessa Hudgens or Maisie Williams (okay they're not verified but they are good examples anyway). I am hearing lots of requests for gamine so I will make sure to put them higher in the order of videos!

    Even when I was a 4 year old my mother dressed me in my soft kibbe style with my winter colours from head to toe! Lmao She had an eye for style I guess. Unfortunately she was also incredibly cruel and abusive towards me, bummer. Wish I could talk to her about this video..

    Hi Rita! First off, I absolutely love your work and I am a big fan. As a piece of constructive (personal) feedback: The music in the background is super distracting and since your videos are usually information packed, it's impossible for me to follow. There's just too much going on and I literally cannot watch them. This might just be me, but I imagine there are other neurodivergents out there, so I wanted to share it. Thank you for doing what you are doing

  • @di3486

    SN has a heaviness that comes from flesh and width. The width is NOT only shoulders! Is everywhere, ribcage, midsection, even ankles!. SN usually don’t look well in fitted looks (unless you are very slender). That’s why I like relaxed looks but fitted to my proportions. Boho is much better suited for FN not SN.

    • @di3486
      @di3486 11 місяців тому +1

      @@Leoiorcus i disagree. Ribcage width is FUNDAMENTAL for Natural body types.

    @ijmimi9186 Рік тому +1

    I think you should probably correct your statement about soft naturals wearing boho oversized. Probably specify that your "classic recommendations" are from random pinterest boards, not Kibbe system itself. I respect your work to much to gloss over such.

    • @StyleThoughtsbyRita
      @StyleThoughtsbyRita  Рік тому +4

      Well to be fair David does not offer any outfit recommendations and says the book is outdated. So there are no recommendations from "the Kibbe system itself."
      when people want to use Kibbe's work as a system, their only option is to Google soft Natural outfits. Which is what I did to research for this video! And what I will do for future videos.
      We don't even have any confirmation from David that blunt yang with yin always leads to the SN. We also don't really know what David sees as "fresh and sensual" and how much glamour he would allow for an SN. so the entire premise of this video is flawed 🙃 yet many people like the Kibbe ideas and that's why I'm putting in the effort to make these videos
      My goal is not to contribute to Kibbe Canon but to help people who are searching for resources on youtube!

    • @ijmimi9186
      @ijmimi9186 Рік тому +2

      @@StyleThoughtsbyRita exactly. We are saying the same thing. Most people won’t know you are not referring to Kibbe himself, not a random google search . While your intention isn’t to add to his work, which I respect and value your own creation as is. How it was presented does discredit his work a bit because of the misinformation. Just a thought.
