I’m having a tough time choosing. I have trouble with butt winks and I’ve only ever worn converse when I lift. I’m a size e width with medium arches. I do CrossFit however I’m worried that a more flexible shoe like the inov8 g 380 might not help as much with butt winks as a stiffer shoe like the xiao or under armour would. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
I have the legacy lifter II and find it puts me on my toes too much. I always get knee pain after wearing them even though they help me be more upright in my snatch. But I only wear them to snatch because of the issue getting into toes easily.
Still torn on what shoe to buy, I used to wear slide in heel lifts on my shoes and now I’m just torn on either the under armor shoes, Xiaojun Lifter 1.0 or the tyr shoes any help choosing between the models? I have wide feet and usually run my shoes for the entirety of the sessions
Ahh, I don't think you'll want to rock these for full sessions, tbh. If you have wide feet, go TYR L-1, size em up a half size and if you need more width take the insole out!
Confused between addidas rapidmove, addidas dropset 3. nike air zoom tr1 and nike mc trainer 3 for a gym workout mainly cardio and strength sometimes cross fit as well, please recommend a good one
Rapidmove would likely work if CF isn't a massive ask. Dropset 3 is great, but cardio performance is meh. MC is meh. Air Zoom is good, but may not be the most dialed for CF! I'd go Rapidmove or Airzoom
Change shoes. This is like asking what steel toe work boots are good for running a 10k. When you wear lifting shoes once, this will make sense. You will never wear your lifting shoes outside the gym. You won't wear them to get to the gym or to go home. Nike Legacy trainers are cheap, light and easy to carry, and a perfectly fine shoe to wear to and from the gym.
@misterjay4347 that's what the Legacy is. It's not a lifting shoe by any stretch of the imagination. If you don't lift, as it sounds like, don't waste money on lifting shoes. You don't understand what they are.
@@misterjay4347 everything you have posted, indicates that you don't. Your question is like asking what cleats you can wear to play soccer and then to run on a treadmill. Metcons try to be crosstrainers you can use for lifting but I have yet to see anyone use them for serious lifting, without soon replacing them with real lifters.
I'd go Leg 3 because the Rom 4 hurt the ef out of my foot. Both are good shoes, though, and I wouldn't worry about my personal biases and instead what shoe works best per your contexts. I try to keep out my personal opinions in this content and stick to objective things I've noted in testing, but always happy to answer Qs like this as you have em!
Any thoughts on Liu shoes as an upgrade from legacy lifters 2? Only using it for main compound lifts and later on will learn weightlifting again. Thanks. Or should i take a punt on tyr lifter?
Can go with most models and you'd be plenty fine, imo! TYR L-1 Lifter if you have slightly wider feet or cop something older to save money like the Reebok Legacy Lifter 2/Adipower models.
I would work mobility and opt for something like a 10 lb plate and see where that takes you before opting for a shoe, per se. That's also wayyyyy more lift than any current lifting shoe. I'd also suggest using things like a leg press and position your feet lower to work that "knees over toes" position and you should be able to get some nice carryover to your squat in doing so.
@@thatfitfriend thanks for the help first person to respond i am using a 5 pound plate rn ill try a 10 and work on ankle mobility also i do have really long femurs probably the cause
I've had the legacy lifter 2 for the longest time. Solid as a rock. Like you said who needs innovation
That's the secret sauce. So much shoe innovation these days is just a money grab, especially when older models worked perfectly fine/super well!

TYR L-1 Lifter, go up a half-size and take the insole out if you need more width. That would be first suggestion to try

Grab the TYR or Anto model and you won't feel that forward pitch. That's an issue I have with the Leg Lifter 3, too
Torn on what Color to buy for the Lus, between the white, turquoise or black/white
I'm a fan of white models, but both are sick, tbh!
@ ended up going with the turquoise for a change. Glad they ran a cool BF Friday sales this year
Rom 2’s TTS are great, Rom 4’s are too snug in toe box TTS, could I do the Lu shoes with True Size?
@@justanothernicedude I’d run the Lus like you did your 2s

we need to start a signing petition to nike to bring back the rom 2's, i mean they did bring back metcon 1's
That’s what I’m saying. It’s a clear case of everyone liking that model more, too. It’s not just a niche few!
Rebook legacy lifters III price drop so much, great deal for sure
Holiday drops should take them lower, too!
Isn’t narrow toe box from lifters 2?

Love the reviews, it would be cool if you went with the white or colored versions of the shoes instead of the black!
I know the lighter colors are easier to see, but I do love me some black colorways here and there. I'll keep that in mind for future videos, homie!
