Hi Rob, how are you? It blows my mind to hear about how there were 531 miles of tunnels. Wow.
I agree. It's definitely incredible how so much has remained intact and how people lived in the tunnels. I can't imagine how it was to live there.
They are, as you said, super deep. I think I'd be too scared to be down there.
Great to see Sander and Chris :]. Lots of cool UA-camr meetups.
The engineering and strength of the tunnels are incredible too. It's great how they've left the tunnel intact and didn't rebuild it while keeping it the same overall too.
The staircase is one of the tightest ones that I've seen.
You put it in perspective at the end. I can't imagine how rough it was for the soldiers.
Thank you very much for sharing your experiences and what you saw. Superb video. Kudos, Rob. Have a great week!

thanks! Vauquois hill is really a graveyard, of the some
3 thousand French and German soldiers who lost their lives bodies were never recovered, buried and reburied by the next mine explosion,
In 2006 a massgrave was discovered on the hill in which lay 35 bodies, 5 could be identified, one by his watch.
    Many still remain

Really cool. You can’t be afraid of closed in spaces that’s for sure. I can’t imagine living underground and listening to every thing going on above you. It had to be very unnerving to live that way. Great tour and thanks for bringing us along.😁👍

I’m quite a regular battlefield visitor, I took two of my boys there just before Covid, unfortunately as I’m not very mobile i couldn’t go in myself, hoping for a spine operation anytime now and hope I can see for myself.
