I haven’t read Garden Spells in years but I still consider it one of my favorite books of all time (definitely my favorite magical realism)! You’ve made me want to reread it!
Okay you’re the first person I’ve seen with minuscule mansion!! It’s a MUST READ. It was so magical and I’m obsessed and need people to talk to about it 😅
I have a lot of the same books on my TBR this year!! 🤗 Garden Spells (and all of Sarah Addison Allen’s book) is one of my all time favorites!! I hope you love it! I suggest reading The Sugar Queen (in the late fall) next if you do! 🤗
I loved Wait Til Helen Comes! It was one of my favorite childhood books, but not the graphic novel. She was one of my favorite authors, and even though it's been 10+ years maybe, I still remember that book, The Doll in the Garden, and Deep, Dark, and Dangerous! I have so many of her books I kept for our children to eventually read.
Hi Liv!!! This is the first video that I have watched on your channel and I loved it! After seeing your manga pick ups, I would definitely recommend a series called "Sweetness and Lightning"!! (if you don't have it already) It has all of the cozy vibes with a father and daughter bonding over their new found hobby of cooking. It does have a little undertone of grief, given that the mother had passed away. However, it is extremely wholesome/slice of life-y and I think you'll enjoy it.
I went into the Atlas Six blind too, and I enjoyed it! Same with the Cartographers. But the Cartographers was sadly disappointing 😞 I hope you enjoy it!
Echo North was really good. All of the books that author writes are super dark. Great October reads. I am looking forward to the Encyclopedia of Faeries
Just discovered ur channel Liv and gotta say, what an amazing book haul! 😍 I'm so impressed by the range of titles and genres you've chosen. It's clear that you have a true passion for reading and it's always exciting to see someone sharing their love of books with the world. I can't wait to see your reviews and hear your thoughts on all of these wonderful reads. Keep up the great work and happy reading! 📕😍💖✨🦋 #Subscribed🌟
We seem to be on the same buying book vibe...lol I also picked up the Bree Baker books and the Cleo Coyle book at my used bookstore as well and I have read the Amanda Flower Pros and Cons and it is very good in fact I have the whole series along with several of her other series she is one of my favorite authors. You would enjoy reading her Amish Candy Shop series as well heck you would enjoy all her series. She also writes some mysteries that really don't fall into the cozy genre but they are fabulous as well. The Joanne Fluke books are good too, I have read the first 9 of the series and enjoyed them all (my library as the series) I have the Book 1 and 2 of the Korina Moss series haven't read yet but they are on my list and I just bought the 1 book of the Ellie Alexander series you have book 2 for. 📚🏷 Now I just need to stay out of the public library and read the library I have at home....lol
Prose and Cons is really good! And the Laurie Cass series is also one of my favorite cozy mystery series. Katie and the Catsitter is fun also. I just read Isla to Island the other day and gave it 4 stars
I loved Myra Malone. It was a cozy relief between the horror and literary fiction that features serious topics that I was reading. I ordered a copy before I was finished reading my library loan. 🖤
After watching this video, I downloaded the fist in the Bookmobile mystery and read it over 2 nights, I really liked it so downloaded number 2. Thanks for some good recs.
📚 Thass a nice variety! 👀 I bought Garden Spells on a whim a while back (my childhood obsession with the Secret Garden like took over my body and I barely read the summary lolol) so maybe I should move it up the tbr 🤔 If you haven't already read it, based on your other likes you might enjoy the manga series Rozi of the Labrynth as much as I did! It's a short three-book series that is adorable: it's mostly cute and episodic to start but there's an underlying mystery that grows in prominence and it gets a little darker--but still very cute, wholesome, and optimistic! The Labrynth definitely reminds me a little of the Labrynth movie in parts, but with the world's most adorable little girl protagonist.
📚 I'm an avid reader and currently reading crystal blade #2 by Kathryn purdie and I finished reading when you read this by Mary Adkins such a good book. Have u read these books if not check them out and let me know what you think. 😊
Have you read any of these? Tell me if I need to bump any up on my TBR! 🤍
I LOVED Emily Wilde's.....the writing was IMPECCABLE!
Echo North was cozy yet dark. I liked it
