The King Air 200 has been in production now for just over 50 years. That says a lot. There are the detractors but Beech keeps building them because folks keep buying them. For what you get with that kind of performance it’s an outstanding airplane. Easy to fly as a single pilot and, no type rating required. Ya want a jet? Then be prepared for higher operating costs and type rating training and if you want to fly it single pilot then there are annual requirements for training and check ride. The King Air 200 is a straight 12,500 pound Part 23 aircraft with no more FAA qualification requirements than a Navajo or a Baron. I flew the 200 for 15 years in Alaska in air ambulance service. Into and out of short unimproved strips down to -50*F and into “real airports” (SEATAC, Anchorage, Boeing field). If you need more capacity then the King Air 350 line can probably give you what you need with higher weight and more speed. It requires a type rating and if you want “single pilot” then that’s only a one time check ride (single pilot). I’ve flown the 300 and 350 in corporate operation (typed in 1993). These airplanes aren’t as fast as a jet but less expensive to operate and easy to fly in single pilot ops.
@@dustyflair You bet! I’ve been saying for years that if I ever won the lottery, the C90 would be my choice I’ve never flown one (or even been inside) but after all the 200, 300 & 350 time, that would be my choice.
my father owned one and I flew co-pilot. It was the nicest plane. It flew itself, literally. You could get up and literally hold the wheel with one finger. I wasnt licensed but was working towards it. Then the money got funny.@@SKA-mr9tk
That's only a matter of personal opinion that I respect but disagree with if we are only speaking in general terms. If you had a specific jet in mind that would be a better argument.
Who is this narrator? He is someone whose voice is very familiar. The point is that this is one of the best narrators on the internet. I would be apoplectic to learn that this is a computer generated voice. In any event, the narration adds hugely impressive class to this video. Of course this is a fabulous airplane. The narration and the camera work match the excellence of the King Air 260. All in all, this is a very impressive video of a very impressive airplane. Well done, Beechcraft.
About time they use the synoptic capability of the PL Fusion and get rid of the steam gauge loadmeters and more so fuel quantity indication system. FADEC engines will reduce power setting guess work too.
Many of us have flown in the Beech 1900 commuter plane. It gets the job done but if I had $7 million dollars I'd rather fly in a First Class airline seat. Have a drink in the Red Carpet Club. That sort of thing.
$6.7M? Why not go with the Honda Jet? It's single pilot (big savings), most likely less cost per hour operating, range advantage, faster, and higher ceiling.
Always love the King Air haters (Usually PC-12 fans, and I too love the PC-12 but even Pilatus wouldn't build a King Air competitor. (Meanwhile Beech has the new Denali which is a direct competitor to the PC-12).. Always chuckle when folks mention the 'Super King Air' 200 being an antiquated design from the 1970's.....Well I guess so is the SU-27/30, F-15, F-16, F-18, A-10, and on and on. If they're so bad, wonder why Beech still sells boatloads of new ones and why no other Aircraft manufacturer will attempt invest in a direct competitor..... Because the King Air owns that market. Piper's Cheyenne was a good attempt and a great aircraft but it just couldn't get orders, thus non profitable and non sustainable.
Every seat is no bigger than coach. Look at that guy he is so big. I would use the money spent on this to fly first class and get more head room, seat room and carry as much luggage as I want. It’s a short haul aircraft at best with minimal comfort
You’re dreaming. Public airlines are full of mis connections, pilots shortages, weather stack ups at airports, and crazy passengers. I would take a private plane anywhere.
Struggle with the fact that the cabin only has 2 forward facing seats and 4 rear facing seats. I understand prioritizing the club seating and moving it away from the cockpit, but it still seems odd
This is nice for a propeller plane, I just worry because it is not safe if a propeller breaks or stops spinnjng. A jet airplane can still fly even if engine dies. I think if the propeller stops, the plane will most likely fall to the ground.
@@dustyflair ok Einstein. Well I must have forgotten what a jet engine looks like. I still see propellers on this plane, and you think this is a jet engine. Completely different. Lookup a beech jet premier, that is one with jet engines. A Beechcraft king airs has propellers. I’m not a 100% sure if it will just fall from the sky, but it definitely cannot glide as far like a jet plane could.
3M would buy you a hellaciously nice used jet and you'd still have 4M to hangar, care for and feed it. More speed, safety, prestige, range, ride, capability, etc. etc. Unless you really need to constantly get in and out of a 4000' strip I can't see going with a prop in this day and age. No matter how many gee-gaws they put on it.
No. If you're willing to buy used, you can get a nice midsize jet for 3-5M. Most would seat up to 8 depending on configuration and still be in remarkable condition. People tend to take very good care of them. In my view the only thing that would push you toward a T-prop over a jet would be a recurring need for very short field performance. @@andrewfrazier7974
I took 8 pax from LAS to Western SC this summer. Non-stop and full tanks in a Hawker 750. I didn't see the massive weight restriction that you're talking about. With unfavorable winds we still landed with almost an hour of fuel. I'd be amazed if you could do that in a KingAir. And can't imagine doing it if you could.@@rizzodefrank
people use it as a seat. I would land at an airport before I let someone use my crapper. ours was alwas used as a seat. Stuck a kid sitting back there on it. They love it.
There are many King Airs on the market for much less money. Anytime you buy something that is new AND the latest and greatest, it’s gonna be expensive.

Jets are cool and all that but for moving a family and a few friends around, the C90 is da one!!!

Guardian Flight?
I really enjoyed watching this video.
Thank you.
Thank you for watching!
Good Day. Excellent. One of the finest planes built and the prettiest.
Nice Review. Thank You
Thank you very much!
Beautiful inside and out 😊
It really is!
I really love pratt and Whitney PT-6 Canadá plant.and beechcraft super king air.
what a beauty
Better than any jet❤

What kind of system operates the elevator on this TTail?..cable, hydraulics, fly by wire? I’m curious.
what a beautiful aircraft.

Muy lindo avion pero cual es la diferencia o ventaja entre un avion a helice o con turbina?
When western natives need to be reminded what we bring to the world...another reminder.
Great bird for short hops and small fields. Not for long haul though.
Yes, I agree
Most people will never fly in a King Air much less a long distance. So it's super great for the long hauls.
Why is that?
Really great plane❤
Hmmmm, not many analog backup gauges, huh??

Love
I'll take two. Can you get them in other colors?
Well done video and a I'd rather have this beautiful plane the only thing holding me back is the winning Powerball ticket
Yeah the price is what's holding many people back 😂
I’d like to see Beechcraft build a modern version of their Starship keeping to most of the original design.
$6.7M? Why not go with the Honda Jet? It's single pilot (big savings), most likely less cost per hour operating, range advantage, faster, and higher ceiling.
Cause it aint a KING AIR.
I would like to order one King Air 260. Thank you Aviation Base. Take Care. 😂
Hey there, you didn't order anything from us because we don't sell planes

I'll take 2 please.
KA 260 or KA C90 well worth it.

Flying commercial doesn’t allow you to where you want, when you want and return when you want. Having flown King Airs, mthey are plenty comfortable.
cool
*Do a Blackhawk Conversion.*
*Then you've got a 400 mph Twin Turboprop, with a 4,000 ft per min Climb Rate.*
Amin ya Allah 🤲🤲🤲🏼🤲🏼🤲🏼🤲🏼

Can’t get it serviced anytime you want.

The Piaggio p180 any day.
Good choice
No dia que fizerem estás Janelas Redondas e muito feia 😢 Se fizerem iguais aos Jatos creio que ficariam muito mais Bonito este Avião 🛬 Redonda 😢
Each engine cost fifty thousand, the airplane build in about 800 thousand and you sell it for?
Too expensive! At that price, better to take a Honda Jet 420. Used can be easily found for less than 7M
Struggle with the fact that the cabin only has 2 forward facing seats and 4 rear facing seats. I understand prioritizing the club seating and moving it away from the cockpit, but it still seems odd
its an awesome ride. You can have the seats facing any way you like. Even a bench seat Im sure.

Not just about the runway requirements most light jet owners quickly learn of the massive weight restriction hit compared to a turboprop
