Nice video of my home town - I moved away 50 years ago but the Blue Toon will always be home. You got lucky with the weather - Balmoor can be a bloody cold place in the winter - particularly when there's a gale coming off the North Sea! 🌊❄️😳 Enjoying your channel - subscribed. 👏
They put up a scaffolding style terracing behind both goals and towards the banking you stood in front of with the Peterhead Prison Museum advertising board. The day of the first game was absolutely pandemonium, it was like a festival and big party in the town. (Loads of locals are Rangers fans). We had tickets for the home end and the weather was glorious. After what had happened in the spring, it was a total relief watching the game.
Great series mate. Fascinating venues. Thanks to the excellent ‘A View from the Terrace’ on BBC Scotland, Scottish Football is opening up in a new lease of life despite these difficult times. You did Hampden Park recently and you seemed unsure what the little ground was at the west end of the ground. It’s Lesser Hampden, Queen’s Park new ground this coming March and they’re on the March in LL2. Why don’t you take a look at the Northern Ireland grounds? I think you might find some surprises there, especially in Belfast. Great show, keep it up.
Hi Rob, thanks for the comment! Yeah I'd love to eventually get across to Northern Ireland. Quite a few people have requested I do so! Also on Lesser Hampden, yeah I need to get down there for a proper investigation once Queens Park have officially moved in!
Went to a game at Peterhead last season. Probably the most friendly and helpful staff, along with QotS, we've come across on our visits north of the border.
Today I discovered your channel. It's a great way to get a little more into Scottish football as someone from abroad. You are a very likeable host and I will enjoy more of your videos. Greetings vom Germany. :)
You've said it yourself a few times but you have been so lucky with the weather on most of your vlogs, I've only seen you get one real soaking so far ! When I went to Peterhead it absolutely chucked it down, I only left my car once, nice to see much more of the ground - and in sunshine too !
Another nice little ground, would love to go to watch a game there, theres a lot of nice little grounds in Scotland, would never have seen them if it hadnt been for your vlogs SAM, look forward to the next one.
@@FootyAdventures Once the restrictions get eased you should come back and watch a match at Peterhead FC, great hospitality and i am sure you could get an interview with @siferry
You probably could have stayed and watched the match, if I remember rightly you get a good view into the ground from the outside from hill behind the goal...
