As a Sparta Prague supporter, I deliberately found which teams from Scotland Sparta played with. 2 pre-season games with Hibs just after WWII, 2 Inter-Cities fairs cup games against Dundee United, 2 games with Airdrieonians in the Cup winners cup, 2 games with Celtic during Covid in Europa League and 4 games with Rangers in the Europa League as well. So Sparta Prague played quite a few matches in Scotland actually.
I visited Ayr, Kilmarnock and Stranraer on my way to catch a boat to Belfast. All very welcoming as I took pictures in their car parks. In Northern Ireland I visited Glentoran, Crusaders and Linfield. In the Republic Sligo Rovers and I know technically they are based in the north Derry City. It wasn’t my reason for touring but became a great theme for the holiday.
Another great clip Sam! Re: Dunfermline poster:- Guy with grey her and moustache was former player and manager, Jim Leishman, who used to right poems for the pre match team talk! 2. Guy down the bottom with the long hair is Isvan Kozma, the Hungarian international, who Souness signed for Liverpool in the early 90s! Others are Ronald Mailer (guy with Scottish cup)John Watson,Alex Edwards,Jock Stein(got Dunfermline to a Euro semi), Roy Barry and a few others (David Moyes,Norrie McCatherty)
Great video, I love the older, traditional, football grounds. When I moved to Scotland back in 2017 my aim was to do the 42 and I finished 17 months later. The fixtures worked out perfectly as I kept 2 of those traditional grounds for last which were Ayr & Greenock Morton. Ayr were playing at home on the Friday night & Morton on Saturday afternoon, so I stayed overnight in Ayr, drove to Greenock the next morning and did both grounds that weekend. That was a great way to finish my 42 quest.
Another excellent video Sam. Scottish Championship is class. I used to work as a match steward in Edinburgh many moons ago during my student days which took me to Dunfermline for a couple of matches. The club has a few fascinating facts but here's one. You may have pointed out the Falkirk badge connection but, Dunfermline's badge was inspired by a nightmare that a local school art teacher had. How many clubs can say that?
@saraprva4172 I worked on a cruise that docked in Split and I walked up to Stadion Poljud and walked around it and loved it! Would love to come to a game there one day!
@liamcarlyon9424 Thank you, hope you enjoyed the city. Also is nice you took a walk to Polijud, I really hope you do come match day. Unfortunate our league is poor now so often empty seats except v Dinamo or Rijeka, yet European nights are extra special so if you can witness this you will be amazed. West stand is good for tourists, but I recommend the East where I sit, not expensive, noisy exiting but safe and near to the crazy Torcida in North Stand 😉⚽️🏴⚪️💙🔴🇭🇷👋
The tour of the teams/ stadiums was great. I wish there was more Scottish football available to see online or streaming. The maybe 1 SPFL game we get a week in the US is really a let down to fans of the game.
Brilliant video Sam. One minor thing - Falkirk's crest is actually based on a different steeple in the town, a lot of people assume it is the one on the high street in your video
Extremely so ever fantastic video regarding the Scottish Championship and I have been getting updated to the league well, good friends!!!LONG LIVES RESPECTIVELY TO THE LOWER LEAGUES,GOOD FRIENDS!!!👍
Sunderland are mainly known as the Mackems although The Black Cats are also used . The black is represented in the Shorts. They were unable to wear Black and Whte as Newcastle had adopted these colours to represent the Mining Industry .
Class vid man, Mon Eh Jags!! OTIG 🏴🔴🟡 (edit: both clyde and queen’s park have shared our grounds in the past, clyde was in the 80/90s i think, and it was 2021 when queen’s park was sharing with us.)
Can you go to livingston vs Hamilton because me and my brother and my friend really like you videos and channels me and my brother and my friends are subscribers and all of us have a season ticket please go footyadventures from me and my brother and my friends
My first thought watching the video was logistically how do you get all these teams to agree to you visiting them all on the same day and did you just splice several weeks or months of footage together to make it seem that way, having watched The whole video tho it seems you have managed to find the 1 day of the year in Scotland it's not pissing with rain so hats of for doing it legit but without the rain is it really a true representation of Scottish football
We’re not playing in Lesser for smaller crowds. The change to Lesser was purely to accommodate Rangers at Hampden. Now that they’re going back to Ibrox, we’re going across to Hampden again for the rest of the season
Hello Sam , a bit of interesting Trivia for you . Did you know that there are only TWO Senior clubs that do NOT have their colours represented in their Nickname ? Arbroath are known as the RED LICHTIES but play in Maroon and the other is Brentford who play in Red and White but are known as the BEES ! Aso the term UNITED not only means the joining of more than one team but also refers to a club that draws its support from outwith a town or a city .
It is funny how the Airdrie fella is airbrushing history, apparently they played in the european cup err naw ye didnie! Airdrieonians did but they were liquidated. What Airdrie are now is just the original Clydebank FC with lipstick on since they bought Clydebank and renamed them Airdrie Utd in 2002.
Dunfermline and Falkirk have the biggest fans base in this league and the pars have one of the best European record in Britain and.. Raith rovers only played one game in European that was winning 1-0 in first half against Munich that their best record in their club history that’s so embarrassing
@@FootyAdventures yeah I'll watch full video later when back from work. Will you be going to celtic's champions league games since rangers ain't good enough to be in that tournament? It's ok going to ibrox to watch them in europa that's a poor tournament compared to cl they are expected to win in there.
* Dundee United 😅😅🙈🙈
It's easily done mate 😂👍

Love the videos it's not all about just the top scottish teams, you go everywhere highlighting scottish football
Really enjoyed this video Sam, my favorite fact was Queens Park being the club winning the Scottish Cup most after the old firm, pretty amazing.
Good to see you visiting Airdrie!

It was Queens Park who ground shared at Firhill in 2021/22. The pitch was a total riot that season with the constant usage.
Mon the jags.
Great video again. Loved the Airdrie tour/facts
Thanks mate! Got a great welcome at Airdrie 🙌🏼🙌🏼
2021 called it wants its Footy Adventures Video back! 😂. Great to see this sort of stuff back
BTW the game at Firhill was a QP home game. Clyde were at Firhill from 86-90
Felt so good to not be filming a matchday video!
And yeah, I was sure it was. Saw you there?

falkirk games are available every week.
Well impressed with the collection of shirts at Airdrie, Great video👍
Dave Timmins played a big part in Joe Harts development at Shrewsbury
Another great example of why the Scottish championship is the best great work Sam
Great vid Sam. So good to see teams upgrading stadia and looking to grow.
It's a different steeple on the Falkirk crest.
It's the electricity pylon in the carpark
Proper football heritage, good stuff Sam 👍

Mad to think the Commonwealth Games was at Meadowbank. 😬 Not that Hampden was much of a step up years later.
once again, Sam from Footy Adventures showing how to showcase the game in Scotland!

Top Tip: Along with yellow snow, never eat the berries that are below waist level on the bush. Especially in Greenock!
Plus dug piss level is a no go 😂
I was about to write the same 😂
Unless you like junkie piss.
Nice watch.😅
Do go nairn st ninian and Nairn county.😮
We all make mistakes Sam but i love your channel best channel for Scottish Football ⚽️ hopefully see you at a Livingston game soon😊
5:01 My mate always pisses there on his way to and from work.
hes just ate piss soaked brambles thats wild
For Airdrie you could have went to the infamous Diamonds nightclub 🤣 Technically it’s just the chevron on their badge though.
Good video ! Nice to see you not chatting to little boys
1:30 as an Ayr fan, I think Dave Timmins has just leaked a bit of info there! Had been rumors but now its basically confirmed 😂

Dundee was formed by the joining of two clubs just like Ayr - Our Boys and East End
What was the Finland shirt at Airdrie? Can't recognize the logo, and strange with a green shirt for Finland if it wasn't a goalkeeper shirt..

Sam you made a mistake it was Dundee Utd who got promoted as Champions Dundee are already in the Premier League
We won the league in 2023 pipping Queens Park remember? We won 5-3
