My Tomy Enterprise just arrived today. It looks fantastic. You don't notice the plug hole covers or the seams as much when it's physically in front of you. The model replica Enterprise is magnificent. Thank you for this latest video. Great display setup 👍
Mine is still on my dining table. I'm also of a mind to remove the front support. I feel like the neck and Allen bolt is enough to hold the saucer since it's die-cast, but still a bit worried. I ordered an electric rotating base and would do away with the forward base plastic, since it's not doing anything at that point. This is an amazing STUNNING model, truly incredible for the money. One of my friends canceled his. He stopped by yesterday and deeply regrets canceling now! LOL!
Just want to thank Trevor. I received mine yesterday and am thrilled with it. Is it perfect? No. There are some unfortunate design choices like the screw caps on the “viewing” side and/or the saucer stand only able to be set up on one side. But if it wasn’t for your in hand videos I would’ve cancelled and missed out. I do wish that the saucer stand “rod” portion could have been used without the large side portion. That would give extra support for the saucer when attached to the rest of the ship without the bulky side portion that is only needed for displaying the saucer separated.
I purchased two. One to remain "Mint in box" for the next 10 years or so. Screw covers and seams look fine, barely noticeable until you look. Stand 5 feet back and it's gorgeous. I also don't understand all these weenies worrying about the support for the primary hull WHEN assembled. Mine is fine without it. In fact, it doesn't even rest on it when I place it under (1/128" gap?). I don't live in CA, so earthquake's not an issues, tornadoes maybe, but I won't be worrying about that if I get hit by one of 'em!
Maybe someone will make a clear rod with a cap for the saucer point that can be used instead of that monstrous stand they provide, just to take some of the weight off the neck? It looks stunning without that extra stand!
Thanks so much for the video! Got mine yesterday and couldn't believe the size when it's actually sitting in front of you. Got a little nervous with Tomy's last email but sooo glad I didn't cancel! BTW, where did u get your display cases for the helmets? I've been looking for something like that for mine as they are all sitting in boxes in the garage lol.
That is a Diamond Select Toys Phaser, they are still available if you have a look online. There is also that Playmates Phaser the was recently re-released.
Hi Trevor, thanks so much for your videos. I feel much better about this purchase now and look forward to receiving it next week (got the shipping confirmation today, yay!). I'm working on my display plan and have a question, if you don't mind. I haven't been able to find the dimensions of the base anywhere...is the width the same as the width of the ship (16 inches)? I'm thinking of mounting a floating glass display shelf on a wall and want to have a little margin around the base, but not too much.
Ok, Both stands nested together are 42cm (16 1/2 inch) wide x 61cm (24 inch) long. The enterprise is 37cm (14 1/2) wide at saucer (29cm (11 1/2 inch) at nacelles) x 82cm (32 inch) long. The primary hull (saucer) stand is 42cm (16 1/2 inch) wide x 58cm (23 inch) long. The secondary hull stand is 37cm (14 1/2 inch) wide x 40cm (15 3/4 inch) long.
It looks right because the filming model was only shot from the starboard side. The port side was less detailed and I believe the wiring harness also entered the model on the port side.
Screw covers are mainly on the starboard side. That is the side you can see. Only one screw holding the saucer on, easy to attach and came with the tool.
Mine arrived today, and it's faulty !! Only half the saucer lights up. A sharp wack on the dish makes them come on briefly. Like a dry joint or loose connector. Only way to fix is to remove the plugs and screws argh! and find matching paint somewhere. Not much chance of a replacement. Waiting for the retailer to reply with some options.
A real shame with the seams and all. It had potential and TOMY blew it. Should have spent the money to really seal the seams. That clear support base is pretty nasty looking.
Sorry, but this model looks amazing in person. Options for better bases will come and this will triple in value fast. Insane value for 600 bucks! I was at the very 1st Trek convention, so pretty hardcore....this Enterprise isn't perfect, but still beautiful.
Wow! What a collection! I'm envious! LOL
Thank you.
That is the coolest thing Ive ever seen! Worth every dollar!!
Iconic. Beautiful model beautifully displayed 👍
Many thanks!

Awesome setup. She looks great. Hard to believe people have complaints.
Thanks. It's a great model for the price.
Mine just arrived at 2:15 this afternoon. I can't wait to unbox it. Make it so 🖖
👍🖖🖖

I think a lot of people will regret cancelling! 😂 mine is due today!
Haha. Tell your friend when his goes on Sale at Tomys online store I'm buying it. ...even though I have two...😂😂😂

Your welcome.👍🖖
Same.
I'm seriously considering making a different stand for the saucer
Very nice! Looks like a studio model!
It does!
I'm happy to see that this can be displayed without the saucer stand.
👍🖖😀
This is incredibly impressive
Looks awesome. Mine will arrive today 👍
👍Yay😀

Nice, you can't have enough 1/350 Enterprises.👍 Yeah, she's a thing of beauty.🖖🦘
Just recieved this a week ago, Amazing! They did an amazing job on this! Wasn't sure about mounting with single support, This looks great!
Cool.👍 It's good on the single, looks great.🖖🦘

Yeah, it looks good on the single stand.
You are so right, that the hell were they thinking with that hideous stand?

Glad you kept your order, she's a beaut🖖
The large display cabinet is a shop display I got online. The smaller ones are detolfs from Ikea.🦘
Nice looking toy
Is there anyone happier than a sci-fi geek with a lot of money?
Mine arrived earlier this afternoon!
👍🖖😀
excellent display
Thank you, I look at it every day.🖖🦘
I would also get a shuttlecraft remote drone indoor big fun,,,
Is there such a thing?
I'm interested in the original phaser weapon that's in this video, what is the possibly of acquiring one just like it ?
That is a Diamond Select Toys Phaser, they are still available if you have a look online. There is also that Playmates Phaser the was recently re-released.
Make a big hand like in Star Trek to hold the big section firm use foam.
Yes, at this scale you could do lots of things!🖖🦘
That’s a great idea! 😊

@@trevorgibbs1541 perfect, thank you!! your display looks fantastic
Mine was delivered today to my home in Tennessee but I am out of the country and won't get to see it for another 2 1/2 weeks! Arghhhh.....
😢Oh the pain.
If you're going single support, why not show the opposite side (minus the caps)? Just curious
Thanks for asking, for me it looks right facing this way, and more of the saucer windows are lit on this side.
@@trevorgibbs1541 good to know. Have mine assembled, but not displayed yet. So unfortunate they didn't just reverse the screw holes to the back...
It looks right because the filming model was only shot from the starboard side. The port side was less detailed and I believe the wiring harness also entered the model on the port side.
Are the screw covers only on one side? And is that the side we can’t see? Do you need tools for assembly? How rough was assembly?

I have heard Tomy will honor the warranty.
Received mine today 😊
Nice!!👍🖖😀
Hows it holding up without that saucer support? I have mine all setup with the support
It's going good, I'm happy with it.😀
I just can’t understand why they would put the screws on the display side. It makes no sense.
Had no idea this was being made. What sucks is, unless you helped with funding, you can't buy this☹☹☹
It is available at EB Games here in Australia, they ship worldwide.
Thank you!!@@trevorgibbs1541
