TL already added more content for 4 months than NW for 3 years😂
And TL is now in its 11th year of development. So I'd not be jumping up and down here.

@@heartless_gamer No just behind TL are 400 devs working and behind NW 40. People want more content but they dont realize AGS cannot maintain their current content what about a new one. Game has content just its not updated or interesting. Corrupted breaches, arenas, trials, invasions and etc...
All you have to do is pay to reach max gear and join a P2W guild! Then you can create alliances with other P2W guilds and gatekeep valuable node spots and sieges.
Don’t want to shell out money? just join one of the f2p guilds and get used to being steam rolled in every piece of PvP content. Sounds like fun right?
I think the initial devs messed up new world. Seems like the code and engine so bad that it takes forever to do anything.
I have played since the KR release and I still play today and yes I can confirm the game is now in a MUCH better state then when it launched on Dec 7th. NCsoft continue to make good changes and also they are actually very fast at patching and adding changes to the game not to mention how transparent they are and to confirm yes there is now 2 star dungeons (Hard Mode) they have actually added a ton of PVE things to the game the next big update is going to have 2v2 / 3v3 & 6v6 PVP and then they will be opening a new zone of the map around July - August.
Is Bow still as OP as in january? Or is the build balance better now?
@@paabeatz Bow is still strong but depends what content you are talking about for PVP Bow is good at large scale but not smaller scale and its still good in events but the king of single target DPS is Xbow / Dagger.
Still egregious pay to win though 🤷♂️

@@JediPoncho-ou4kc that's for sure that's one of the main reason most people don't make alot of mmo anymore because people expect a fresh mmo to have ton of content at end game so they just Rush and you know the rest because of that MMOs get ruined that's probably one of the main reason Riot MMO scraped the game because of what happened to Blue protocol yes the game has costume gacha but you don't need that the rest of the game is good but as you expect people just Rush And people ruined the chance of the game so if a big studio as bandai can't do it basically none others can so it makes sense why Riot scraped the Riot MMO so I feel if this keeps up so when ff14 and wow dies so will MMO aswell eventually

@@XeqtrM1 Well MMOs won’t die. Their purpose might change. They’re still slamming other games in numbers. WoW is still one of the most played games in the world besides China. I’m pretty sure it’s in the top 3. No sign of dying out any time soon. But I agree, that’s why developers aren’t focusing on that anymore. I think it’s going to shift back towards the journey because players are getting sick of “end game” and it’s starting to show. I think the trend followers are the ones rushing. People focusing on the journey can still do so in a plethora of older mmos.
They add a group finder in less than 6 months while NW takes over 2 years to release as a “major update”…
People are quitting KR T&L in droves…

I hope this game is good because NW is a completely mess right now. Tbh, seeing Trevzor and fenne in T&L discord made me scared they gonna ruin it.

It should be good I played early in Korea for about a month it was fun but lacking content so far they have made significant improvements added more dungeons and released hard mode dungeons that being said I don’t think the game will be higher than a 7/10 which is ok so at least it will be fun for 3-6 months

We need "ARENAS PVP" like New World have for ppl who like low scale PVP!
for sure i woud want 1v1 arena like in blade and soul that was pretty fun ofc 2v2 3v3 aswell so its arena for all kinds of players

Man what a bad taste.. real siege battles are RP.. they are immersive and feel real.. this arena PVP casual sh*t from WoW destroyed immersion for MMORPGs
Its a beautiful game. Combat is fun. Its still pay to win/progress. If you dont want to spend money or very little you are capped on gear progression unless you start dumping money into it. Or if you want to change to a new playstyle or weapons you already put your resources in another and have to dump money or wait weeks to change.
Open world PvP being zergy. What a surprise. Honestly what people expect. Just look at New world or Eve online :D

I've been following the news, I've read every patch update and dev diary, but I got purged and can't play....the basis is what changes the devs have made and what they said they will do. I need need to smell a turd to know I shouldn't eat it.

It’s a lot of fun so far on PS5. Feels good on controller too, despite my long history of pc mmorpgaming.
this might be intressting, cause stuff like warloggers wont be a thing like in new world, and the incentive of making alts is decresed. cause you have to grind to maintain guild rank
The NDA is there because they will test the shop and we gonna see for the first time what it will be in EU.
They already told us the shop is the same.
Younger people don’t seem that interested in MMOs and the original MMO crowd is getting older. This seems like an MMO for no lifers and that is a dying breed.
Younger people want to pwn face with each other in PvP, while older, traditional old school players, like me, want that mechanic heavy, social comradery PvE end game content where you get that feeling with your fellow guildies of accomplishment after progression raiding together as a guild for many wipes and you finally kill that end game boss!

@RhosVelka The popularity has diminished significantly and the are more MMO refugees then ever before but it’s not entirely dead. I am personally just waiting for Ashes of Creation, Star Citizen, and PAx Dei. Till then I am going to focus more on real life things. All of these MMOs are not worth the time or money investment.
If you're not a fan of PvP or find it challenging to keep pace, there are plenty of other activities to engage in within the game. Consider supporting your guildmates who excel in combat by crafting or supplying gear. Even without a pay-to-win feature, third-party marketplaces would likely still influence the community, as we've observed across various MMOs and, frankly, nearly all games these days.
Sadly as beautiful and decent the questing is, PVP sucks and it feels like a copy paste levelling system and PTW system like Lost Ark and many games like it.
I won't be continuing on with it after it launches.
Sad as it is i think we wont see this until next year also. Unless they drop it super fast after the global beta and beat the summer releases, they mostlikely wont want to try and compeat with FF, WoW expansions. So they either go before, or after the summer. That would make sense in my mind. But then again who knows what the higher ups at the company want and when they want to drop stuff normally demends on their books and fiscal shiz. I;m hoping Amazons beta is a stress test and we get i release before the summer whilst we all have nothing to play. Dropping next year wont help the numbers as most mmo players are going to be invested in wow or ff expansions.
I think they are heading Summer holydays , wow and ff14 don't matter to much since they are more pve focused, TL will be more focused in guilds so the majority of guilds will play anyway since wow and ff14 are basely single player games with some instanced content for groups...
nah this is releasing in summer time at best.
ff14 is june 28 and the war with in is in fall basickly between august and october so in my opinion if they ant release it before summer its better to w8 for 2025
@@escarretada wow single player dam i guess you dont know much about wow so wow is a raid focus type game its pretty huge in pvp aswell atleast for arena but wow main focus is raids actully so defently not single player focus i mean no mmo focus on single player its part of the game yes but never main focus

i do agree its p2w in a way but it been proven multiple times in TL that many f2p players been able to clear everything and been one of the top raiders in the but it just require more grinding thats all if you arent fan of grinding than yes its p2w if you dont mind than you shoud be fine

If the focus of the gameis PVP, then its DOA. MMORPG gamers are PVE as main focus.
I forced my way through the tutorial to the what I think is the open world. I am not being drawn to play it any further but will try to put in an hour or two. Maybe it gets better.

Boonstones are just standard territory captures. Riftstones are boss area captures and if you own the Riftstone you can do an extra Guild Raid each week
im exited for this game same with bp but to be fair in all mmos that r fresh if you rush it wil always not be enough content and rushers need to accept that you can rush but the game isent made for peaple that rush since its a minority thing
4:00 well it depens how much people you can have in a guild?and have you a cooldown if you want join another guild?because even if you have someone who only farm lets say 1000points per day and the other player do 3000+ even if you kick the 1000point player,you lose 1000 no matter what and if you cant get new player in your guild its not a win.
But in the end we will have some top guild where you will have this pressure but there will be enough where this is not.
first big problems in any pvp mmorpg is when big guilds or big alliance took over a server, this happens in Asheron's Call Darktide server, Shadowbane, and Darkfall. no mmorpg company had fix this problem yet. the second big problem is underpopulated server, GW2 WvW pvp system also fix this problem but like DAOC it placed limits in the game, but is it still fun to pvp, answer is yes. also, in GW2 big guilds or alliances (beta testing is ongoing right now) are not a problem.
in the korean version I seen this the first ptoblem and it's causing lots of problems and they still have not fix it today. if this two problems are not solved, when this game released in the west, just like the games I mentioned this game will die fast. well, time will tell if ncsoft (or are they even asking for advice from the GW2 devs who have lots of experience in any pvp system and why they choose the system they have now to provide fairness and fun in a mmorpg games) will learn this lessons or not.
I played the 1st time on Xbox. This time since I was given 2 keys, one for Xbox and the other for my computer. I’ll probably do the computer this time around.

I play in kr for one month or so and the p2w exist but could be overcome in few months of playing with the right group of friends. End game for this game is pvp, if they add guild vs guild pvp and arena pvp will be good. The only downside is the mass zerg pvp which is not appreciated for smaller guild who are not able to participate....Game is fine and will be underfire for 2 3 months after that will get stable by the people who love this type of MMO. If NCSOFT are not doing more P2W like they usually do game will be fine on long run :)

@@Z-MACx end of the game is pvp, you will get there on the whales in 2 months top, after that there are just pvp events and grind for money to pay for your death repairs :)

Game has a NDA because they dk how the reception would be. So to avoid game being dead before it even release, they take the opportunity to take feedbacks from the invested players to make it as good as possible. Its smart

Your definition of P2W is flawed IMO and bad for gamers.
My definition is this: Paying for any competitive advantage in pvp.....I mean that's a simple one, but if I play against myself and one of me has payed and has better stuff and wins more by any %, it's pay to win.

That being said my definition and the only one I go by is, "Any Advantage that can be achieved through RMT." @@damnsurfer522 I know it's hard to define, for me competitive means pvp mostly because that's more competitive in general but p2w can exist in pve mmos because you can compete against others in leaderboards etc.
Mine is sort of similar to yours but I think in game transaction rather than RMT as everything is susceptible to RMT. In theory you could pay the best player in the world to come and play for you and no one would know

I got onto the Beta test, lets see what they will offer us in the west. Looking at content from streamers playing the Korean version there are big problems with part of the game (PVP large scale events and domant factions taking everything. Lets hope over the coming months they find a solution for that as it does look epic. That's coming from someone that doesn't like large scale PVP

See the NDA as a review embargo mostly. They just want things underwrap if changes aren't well received to not hurt their launch window. No biggy there and pretty much becoming a normal thing in the industry.

The problem is that the korean servers are essentially dead. If TL doesnt make money in the west (which is pretty unlikely that it will) then NC soft wont be putting much more dev work into it.
