One additonal very impotant thing: Don't climb on wet sandstone! After rainfall, take a break of at least 2 dasy to let the rock dry out. Sandstone is very fragile when wet, even when it looks like it dried from the outside
Good tips! Start easy is definatly a good one, especialy for people who (mostly) climb indoor (like me). Most important tip clean shoes, respect the rocks, its sad how some of the boulders have been polished. Heading for Fontainebleau in two days, yeaaaaahaaaa.
Hey guys, really loved this video, booked my first font trip two days ago and I am way too keen for it 😂 Could you please tell me the make of the portable hangboard?
There's history behing it, those circuits have been created by alpine climbers. Original circuits were supposed to mimic a mountain route, you were supposed to follow the circuit from start to end without touching the ground jumping from boulder to boulder following the numbers... more circuits have been created not following that spirit, the essence of the original circuits forgotten... by the way there's signs on the trees as well, it's called trails 😂
Tip 0: Brush your Holds whilst and after climbing.+ take a bag for your rubbish to the session.
Good video! Thanks!
Tip 11: Don't climb on wet rock, it's fragile !
Nice video, thanks for visiting our beautiful forest !
Thanks Thomas. Glad you liked it. Your absolutely right about the wet rock. We need to take care of these amazing places. 👍
Love the video! Really excited to go back there for a proper attempt there. During my previous visit I really was just a beginner.

Big tip...go in early July when the Django Reinhardt festival is on..you'll get the best boulders AND the best gypsy guitar music in the world 😜
Can't get better!
Some spots are badly affected by erosion. Sandy soil is very fragile. Stay on the tracks, avoid further digging the sand...
👍 yep, keeping the forest free from as much unnecessary erosion as possible :)
...one day ... One day
Great video!
Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it 😀
I made a 3 month exchange to Fontainebleau 😊
Awesome, which climbs did you get on?
@@TheClimbingNomads I never had the ability to climb there but I'm sure I can do it when I'm there again next year:)

Nice vid guys. Wee tip from a Paris local; it's Bleau as in "Blow" not Bleau as in "bleugh" 👍
Thanks for the tip Duncan 👍

Just pronounce every syllable of Gloucester and everyone is even :D
8:14 there is no chance you actually put that lotion on lol
And do not forget, respect the woods, Dont climb on rocks with moss growing on them, because your remove precious habbitat.
The only tip is to take away any rubbish with you and leave it for others in the future to enjoy
Tip 11A , stand close to your partner and spot them properly when they fall off !
:) yep, absolutely!
I find it kind of sad that people need guides to climb natural rock. Maybe we should label trees as well?
