    Thank you, very helpful! Wished Speedtech would have UA-cams for all their products. You are doing a first class job on your Camaro

    "Thumbs up" from me, thanks for the video, it was very helpful. I am custom installing this system on my 68 Ford Torino, there aren't any instructions for that :-) Speedtech has been very helpful with my install as well.

      Thanks! Speedtech is top notch, I would recommend them to anybody. I wouldn't say that with other companies. Have fun!

    Man that thing is going to be nasty when it’s done you should have a lot more subs then you have now because of the work you do and how you explain how to do it keep up the good work man enjoying this build and can’t wait until you start on the next project

    Looks like you did good not scratching the springs! My wife's car has black lug nuts and I've found those scratch easy so I started putting a layer masking tape on before I remove or install them and that seems to prevent scratches as well.

    Finally ordered mine.I’ve watched this video several times and it gave me confidence to do it myself.Wanted to ask,does the crossmember that bolted into the subframe connection interfere with exhaust routing in any way?
    Thanks

    • @slow_restoration
      @slow_restoration  Рік тому

      Nice, you will love it! We just ordered two systems for a first gen, and a second gen. The crossmember makes it a little tighter for the exhaust, but it's manageable.

    This may be a dumb question,can the undercoat be sprayed upside down like that?

    • @slow_restoration
      @slow_restoration  Рік тому

      It can, would probably be easier on a rotisserie, but it can be done!

    • @johnnyhotrod
      @johnnyhotrod Рік тому

      @@slow_restoration Thanks.I’m in the process of taking my 67 Camaro down to metal on the underbody.It’s on cribbing about 2 feet off the floor.No room for a rotisserie.Would love to spray Lizard skin but I know it will be tough trying to spray it upside down.

    More trouble than it's worth. A pinion snubber and clamps on the front half of the springs is all you need.

    Can you comment on the ride quality with their torque arm?

    • @slow_restoration
      @slow_restoration  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, it all depends on the shocks you go with and how you have them adjusted! This is a amazing setup with a lot of adjustability! This car rides and drives like a modern car now. I love it!

    • @scottjohnson9102
      @scottjohnson9102 3 роки тому

      @@slow_restoration I would be using Ridetech HQ coilovers. Been trying to decide between this torque arm and Ridetech 4 link setup. Any suggestions?

    • @slow_restoration
      @slow_restoration  3 роки тому +2

      @@scottjohnson9102 There's no modifications needed and very little welding to install this on the body. Works with mini tubs or stock. I would go with the Viking double adjustable with the spring rate they recommend for your driving plans. This stuff is topnotch and easy to install. You won't be disappointed!

    • @tkmoseley
      @tkmoseley 6 місяців тому

      @@scottjohnson9102do you mind me asking which setup you chose and if you’re happy with it? I’m trying to decide between the ridetech 4-link vs the speedtech torque arm also.

    • @scottjohnson9102
      @scottjohnson9102 6 місяців тому +1

      @@tkmoseley I ended up going with the newer Ridetech 4-link which deleted much of the welding from the previous generation and cutting into the body. Unfortunatley I have yet to install while I finish complete restoration on my car. I don't think you can go wrong either way though.
