Great video. This convinced me to get this motherboard. I do have one question though. Will the board automatically detect the i5-13600KF or does it require a BIOS update before this CPU can be used? (asking since the board does not have a flashback port)
M.2 rookie here. Correct me if I'm wrong. An M.2 with a built on heatsink will not fit under that cover you removed? (Crucial P5+ 2TB w/heatsink) Is that cover a heatsink itself?
It is a cover yes, so you can either install the drive as is and leave off the one with the board (but it'll look a bit odd as its shorter, or remove the one on the drive (which I would do as it would look better).

@@jordanash appreciate your response. I have this motherboard paired with tuf 4070ti. Do you think its still a good idea to use all 4 m2 slots? Or should I only use 3? Again, thank you.
To be honest I can't remember how many it'll take before going to Gen 3. I *do* remember that there is a part in the motherboard manual that states the limitations, I'd check that out

@@jordanash yes exact same model , also the it didn't had a circle label to ceil the box , so the box and the cover was open but the motherboard it self looks fresh 🤔
Oh none of the ASUS boxes come with a seal nowadays. Also, my board was one of the first samples so the drivers might not have been on the site and that's why it might include the disk.
Nice board since you can get it for cheap open box or even new these days. The only meh is the wifi. For the price I found it to not be lacking anything I needed.
Yeah it's great. I always say if you *need* to make something wireless then get powerline adapters, they're always faster and gives you almost wired speeds.
Nice review. I recently returned the DDR4 version and ordered the DDR5 version, and 6400 cl32. It'll be replacing an Asus Formula VIII. Fair winds and following seas to all.
So that has a hub, you need to connect the fan lighting connector into that, and the other to a 4pin header on the motherboard for power (Or into a 3 into 1 adapter first). The hub connects to the PSU with SATA for power, then into the USB 2.0 Header (or into the 2 to 1 adapter first) on the motherboard, control with NZXT CAM software.
I've got an issue with this board, maybe you have an idea? I cannot turn of the LED of this board, in bios i turned it off but it keeps on! also sometimes it skips the bios option and goes directly into windows/logon (even with fast boot disabled) driving me nuts.
@@jordanash Yes, it totally skips it and del doesn't do anything. Now if I switch fast boot off i can enter the bios, but after that it still skips it again when I reboot.. it's like it's resetting itself (it also idles the monitor when I can't "hit del to enter bios") and it goes directly to the windows login screen. And when i am in bios turning all the rgb off it stays on.. cmos has also been reset, and i can't figure out why this is happening. (has the latest bios, it's all updated)
I'd get a drive with one already installed, or make sure the drive you're using in it isn't one you're constantly using, then it just won't get as hot.
Yep, you *might* need a BIOS update depending on where you get it from as this launched for 13th Gen., but if it had a BIOS flash button on the back (I'd show if in the video if so) then it's easy to do.
I did see the price of one product (LC240) go up, but that was due to lower stock, then it went back. This looks like it could be the same thing as the D4 version is still the same price.
