Love Garnet!! I haven't gone to see him play in too many years! I do think that he is one of the most poetic songwriters of our generation. Sadly, many have never heard of him or witnessed his astute lyrics. Will have to keep an eye open for a local concert.
A rare treasure❤️of a time capsule from the late 80’s. Garnet seems tired and more than a tad bitter but it turns out that’s an essential part of the recipe. The rumpled looks and spectacularly unfashionable clothing of the audience says a lot about the times too- so utterly unselfconscious they might be mistaken for the homeless thru today’s deluded, hyper real lens. Much love to Garnet Rogers, times”s a tickin!
8:22 - the first Garnet Rogers song I ever heard, and still my favorite ❤ For those who don't know, the mare in the song eventually foaled A Fine Romance, who became an incredibly successful sport horse sire.

There is no better performer than Garnet. He is right up there with Gordon and Stan and Neil,Stompin Tom,Greg Brown,Bob Dylan,....
Nobody makes an acoustic sing like Garnet. Real talent.
Wonderful. Small Victories is one of my favorite albums. Every song is a true gem.

PRAISE JESUS, IT'S GARNET ROGERS. REV. JOSEPH.
Loved Saturday mornings listening to the public radio station in Northeast CT, when one of his songs came on in the mid 80’s. Great stuff.

Thank you so much. Saw Garnet many times in those days!!!
Thank you for posting this! True treasure!
I showed this to my younger son. He said “Wow! It’s fetus Garnet!”
Love this song!
Just wonderful!
Thanks for uploading this gem!
Thanks for the upload!
Does anybody know the name of the last tune?? Thanks!
It is Stars in Their Crown off of Garnet’s Small Victories album.
Looks like he is playing a Larrivee guitar...
It might also be a David Wren. Garnet mentioned he had one of those. Incidentally, David was an apprentice to Jean Larrivee.
