@@tcherkess9695 nahh he means the world, the O2 in London is nice and the new Marvel stadium in Australia is sweet, one of my favorites is the TD Garden in Boston, but nothing compares to MSG and it’s history
Derrick Dietrich Yeah, I know. it simply doesn’t fit in with the business model for Mania anymore. WrestleMania 30 brought in nearly $11 million in ticket revenue with an attendance of 75,167 people. That’s an average ticket sale of $145. That same ticket average would bring in under $2.7 million in ticket revenue for a Mania at MSG these days. Not a bad number, and up from the $2.4 million that was grossed when WrestleMania 20 was held there, but still a huge step down. That would mean ticket prices would have to be astronomical to help make up for some of the losses, especially now that Mania doesn’t bring in one million homes ordering the show on pay-per-view. However, there is no denying the magic that MSG holds. It is one of the most famous arenas on the planet for a reason. Over the last few years, we’ve seen different reasons why WWE has basically been phasing MSG out of their plans. None of them really matter, though, because it’s a shame. There used to be multiple major events, whether they were television or pay-per-view, in the venue on a yearly basis. Now, there’s only the occasional house show.
4:00 except people in those seats will still not be able to see the full stage show of concerts since that bridge blocks the view where the large jumbo tron or other stage props generally sit. Imagine being in those seats during a TSO or Metallica show and not being able to see everything.
If MSG is in the middle of a highly populated area, how are celebs snuck into the building? Do they enter incognito? And where do the crowd park their cars? Anyone know?
If you sit in the 200 level, especially up higher, your view of the scoreboard and the rafters is cut off by the 400 level overhanging. It's like watching the game from another room. I'll see the Rangers on the road instead.
1 billion dollars?!? just for a makeover?! it would have been cheaper just to build a new arena from scratch based on the prices of most arenas, which cost about 500 million. i'm glad i'm not in new york. the sporting facilities there seem to be taking the passion out of their venues, and catoring to the super rich who only go to games for business outings or whatever. they did the same with yankee stadium by blocking off the first section so you can't even go down there pre-game to watch warm ups...something every kid loves doing at sports events. that place looks too corporate-like now, almost like you're walking into a big bank skyscraper and not a sports/music venue. the people closest to the action should be the ones standing and cheering and wearing old jerseys of their favorite players. not businessmen wearing suits tapping away on their blackberries for half the game caring more about closing a deal rather than who wins the game.
they probably remodeled it instead of building a new one because of the history that it has had plus its a famous landmark for all types of entertainment from comedy to concerts to wrestling to just about anything
quatar pignolio i can kind of understand that...except the MSG that's up right now is the 4th one. there were 3 others before it. and i somehow think that being a famous landmark doesn't matter since it's a sporting venue. look at all the historical venues (olympia stadium, chicago stadium, boston garden, etc.) that have been demolished since a new one opened. new york even replaced yankee stadium and demolished the old one.
went here for the first time since they renovated it on Dec 9th to see Rod Stewart and even though its beautiful I'm not happy that I can't go on the floor anymore to see my friends before the show or during the intermission when I'm in the loge. The old garden I was allowed to go on the floor no problem now I cant go on the floor anymore! THIS IS SO UNFAIR!
Its simply amazing that they spend $1 Billion on a renovation when in ten years time they're getting their marching orders from the building as Penn station is upgraded.
completely killed the character of the arena, catered to the rich was at a ranger game i felt like i was at a morgue....zzzz, took out so much seating and everyone looks like they live in abercrombie
they basiclly remade an antique somethin u just dont do its like madonna after her botox implants killed da character completely agree 100 wish i coulda see it n person b4 da transformation
poopmcscoopface Im middle class and still go to games. I paid 250 for 2 tix for the Avalanche game last week in the Chase Bridge first row. So worth it!
Truly the best arena in the world. There is nothing like going to the garden and watching a Rangers game.
By "the world" do you mean the United States?

here you are

Too bad that WM30 didn't happen at the garden....Every 10th WrestleMania happened there... 1, 10 & 20
Jeff Hardy They didn't do it at MSG because they make more money having WrestleMania in stadiums.

I heard the Barclay Center is now the new NYC home for arena for WWE and MSG is occasionally used for house shows
Jeff Daniel
willisapril Barclays Center is for Summerslam
threw all the events that held at Madison square garden not once did boxing or wrestling get a mention
Muhammad Ali 1970
I would love to go to MSG one day the new arena looks great !
Don't sit in the 200 level, especially up higher. Your view of the scoreboard is cut off by the 400 level overhang.
Maybe you can when James Dolan lowers ticket prices.
I will be here for my book signing when I'm done
NOTHING LIKE WATCHING THE WWE WRESTLING EVENTS AT THE GARDEN THERES NOTHING LIKE THE FANS ERRUPTING FOR WRESTLING AT THE ARENA

Omg They just happened to show my seats I will be sitting in when I go to my ranger game! 209!
The ATP World Tour Finals should be held here. It will be awesome. Watching the likes of Roger and Rafa would be incredible.

Kaye Moore They arena has parking and so does the building connected to arena, also many entrances, and a big building that is connected to arena
is there an original video that you used for this video and if so where can i find it?
Bruno Sammartino should have been art of the festivities.

I went to watch a game here and it was amazing but prices are kind of high
The lcs final will be held here this weekend!!!!
What's amazing is they found no problems n had no delays, it's very common for old buildings getting renovated to hav problems and delay
Is it easy to enter and to leave the garden after a sold out concert?
Elvis Presley here was one of his best shows

Yeah, it's not perfect. Valid critisism. The history really sells the place. I would still go to enjoy the atmosphere.
The Sport Remains the Same!!!.
3:55 the TVs are spread apart to far.
What's with all the negativity in the comments? The renovations are amazing!
wrestlemania will never come back to madison square garden
I can see the observation decks being a new thing
I would love to visit here
I can't believe they didn't just build a new arena. Although it has tons of history, that is exactly why.
1 billion dollars?! Fucking how? 1 BILLION ?! WHAT IN THE FUCK
30 million for upgrades. 970 million in corrupt pockets.
Hockeytalk 13 They could have just started from scratch
MSG
Td Garden
Staples Center/Great Western Forum

Solution..... Stay away from the building.
Why didn't they move it to another place so to expand the Penn Station?
Greed
Would be nice if Connecticut finally renovated the Hartford XL center 🤦♂️
Why’d they have to get rid of the Willis Reed tunnel?????
