So nowhere on the official data here does it mention what they were doing together !?! For those who want to know... This was during the recording of the third solo album from Anni-Frid Lyngstad (Frida) in March 1982, called Something's Going On. Frida wanted to distance herself from the ABBA sound she was associated with and decided to incorporate strings and Orchestra instead of typical Synthesizer sounds. To this end as she was recording with Phil Collins they went to George Martin's Studio to record the orchestral parts of her album and Paul McCartney was in attendance. Hence their appearance in this short snippet of behind the scenes footage of the recording session. Hope that clears up some of the mystery. :)

FROM A "CHILD FOR HITLER" TO A GERMAN PRINCESS - THE DIFFICULT FATE OF THE DARK ONE OF ABBA
The life path of the lead singer of the Swedish pop group ABBA Anni-Frid Lingstad was not easy and thorny. Her mother, Norwegian Sunni Lyngstad, died when her daughter was only 2 years old. Father - German SS sergeant Alfred Haase, was in Norway as part of the occupation forcesss
funny how you can tell from paul's haircut that this is about 1979 or 1980...unfortunately for me the only one of these three that I've met is phil collins LOL
Its great you meet him bro
1982
Royalty!!
I love The Beatles and Paul McCartney and Wings and Abba. Never keen on Phil Collins or Genesis but everyone to their own taste.
Dave Wiseman
I’m the opposite. Love ABBA and Phil Collins but dislike The Beatles an McCartney
Without McCartney and The Beatles there never be an Abba or a Phil Collins! In fact Phil always copy McCartney!
@@carlosguerreiro5418 Phil Collins is at his best in Genesis. Just like Paul is at his best in The Beatles. I'm not comparing. The Beatles changed the face of music and Genesis were one of many bands who took note of what The Beatles did musically and pushed how you construct a pop song much further. Their Prog stuff always sounded like pop to me. Great music made by a bunch of boring bastards. John Lennon was a Genesis fan.
@@cnmbnm174 why You dislike the Beatles? They are the greatest band un the history
The Peter Gabriel era stuff was pretty cool.
Awesome musical stars!!!
...this is just before Macca says, " I guess our little Phil is quite a Beatles fan "...
lol should she? And why Paul isn´t affected by an ABBA girl? :D
btw, yes, they met a few times, probably not both couples, but Benny and Frida were on holiday with Paul and his wife..it was in 1978 or 79..they were quite friends..
A for ABBA. B for Beatles. C for Collins.
C is also for something else, which I would also call Collins. And why you're comparing him to 2 legends who are not the only ones planets way better than him I'll never know. I could think of hundreds better people to be in there with.
