I don't know personally if he is actually gay or not, if anything I find it viable that he's a biromantic asexual but that's besides the point. I don't care if you think this video is cringe. I don't care if you don't like it or if you don't think Sonic is gay or not. This comic dub series isn't supposed to be about JUST Sonic anyway, it's supposed to be about the entire Sonic universe and all of the characters. Over the years I've noticed that LGBTQ+ Sonic fans have been a pretty notable link to the overall fandom activity, and same sex shipping is something that Sonic fans tended to really shame other people for. That's why I made this series, I wanted to remove that shame and gather everyone for some good laughs. This was made for fun, not to piss everyone off. Sonic is a fictional fucking hedgehog, it doesn't matter if he's actually gay or not. This series is made for all of the creators I've seen that headcanon Sonic to be trans, or Shadow to be non-binary, or Amy to be bisexual, because in the end this franchise is a lot of people's comfort characters and if they want to project themselves onto their favorite character or headcannon them as something a bit different than canon then that's their own damn choice. Also, for the love of god, PLEASE stop commenting that this is p*dophilia. Shadow was indeed created 50 years before Sonic, but he was 15 when he was ejected into space and fell into stasis until Eggman woke him up decades later. If anything, his situation is more like the Avatar The Last Airbender, because even though Aang was TECHNICALLY centuries old, because he was literally frozen in ice he still didn't actually age physically or mentally. Would you call Aang and Karata's relationship p*dophilia because of that technicality? I didn't think so. That was actually the entire joke in the comic at 1:07, that Shadow isn't actually a 50 year old man. That's what makes Shadow's character so tragic, because he was only TOLD it was 50 years ago and to him it felt like just yesterday due to his stasis. This ship has been around for F O R E V E R, I'd wager as long as Shadow even existed in the franchise. There is literally PILES worth of actual canon interactions with Sonic and Shadow that just adds fuel to the fire, for example the canon (yes, this is ACTUALLY in one of the Sonic comic series) comic that was dubbed at 2:22. SEGA has made a fair share of posts saying they support the LGBTQ+ community, and have never once gotten out of their way to say Sonic's sexuality. Yes he's had canon on and off relationships with women in the past (Fiona, Sally, Amy, Mina at one point, Elise, etc) but that doesn't mean he can't experience same sex attraction in some way too. Hell, didn't one of the Sonic Twitter Takeovers mention Sonadow too? Let people like what they wanna like. Cringe culture is dead for this very reason, because people would use it as an excuse to bash or shame others. I am not going to tolerate that here. This. Was. Made. For. Us. Over the years I've noticed that LGBTQ+ Sonic fans have been a pretty notable link to the overall fandom activity, and same sex shipping is something that Sonic fans tended to really shame other people for. That's why I made this series, I wanted to remove that shame and gather everyone for some good laughs. This was made for fun, not to piss everyone off. Sonic is a fictional fucking hedgehog, it doesn't matter if he's actually gay or not. This series is made for all of the creators I've seen that headcanon Sonic to be trans, or Shadow to be non-binary, or Amy to be bisexual, because in the end this franchise is a lot of people's comfort characters and if they want to project themselves onto their favorite character or headcannon them as something a bit different than canon then that's their own damn choice.
Also, for the love of god, PLEASE stop commenting that this is p*dophilia. Shadow was indeed created 50 years before Sonic, but he was 15 when he was ejected into space and fell into stasis until Eggman woke him up decades later. If anything, his situation is more like the Avatar The Last Airbender, because even though Aang was TECHNICALLY centuries old, because he was literally frozen in ice he still didn't actually age physically or mentally. Would you call Aang and Karata's relationship p*dophilia because of that technicality? I didn't think so. That was actually the entire joke in the comic at 1:07, that Shadow isn't actually a 50 year old man. That's what makes Shadow's character so tragic, because he was only TOLD it was 50 years ago and to him it felt like just yesterday due to his stasis.
This ship has been around for F O R E V E R, I'd wager as long as Shadow even existed in the franchise. There is literally PILES worth of actual canon interactions with Sonic and Shadow that just adds fuel to the fire, for example the canon (yes, this is ACTUALLY in one of the Sonic comic series) comic that was dubbed at 2:22. SEGA has made a fair share of posts saying they support the LGBTQ+ community, and have never once gotten out of their way to say Sonic's sexuality. Yes he's had canon on and off relationships with women in the past (Fiona, Sally, Amy, Mina at one point, Elise, etc) but that doesn't mean he can't experience same sex attraction in some way too. Hell, didn't one of the Sonic Twitter Takeovers mention Sonadow too?
Let people like what they wanna like. Cringe culture is dead for this very reason, because people would use it as an excuse to bash or shame others. I am not going to tolerate that here. This. Was. Made. For. Us. The people who are LGBTQ+, and for the people who do ship same sex pairings in the Sonic fandom. If you came here just to hate, then leave. If you came here just because UA-cam recommended it to you and you don't like it, then leave. And if you aren't a native English speaker then simply put this through Google translate or something like that. I'm done with all of the homophobic bullshit that keeps being commented in here.
