@@SunpireYou did actually! The one that reminded you of toblerone is ion with almond bits. I believe the bar form of it is THE most classic ion bar ever.
no joke it shows youve been living here cause every pick is actually one of The BEST snacks on the country.Great video if anyone other out there wants to try Greek snacks your video should be their number 1 suggestion .
Thank you very much for watching us, for taking the time to leave a comment and for your support 💙💙🙏🤗. We had help from people commenting and suggesting us products 💙
Great video guys! The two major things you missed is ION break white chocolate and vanilla in a jar, you take a big spoon of it and dip it in a glass of cold (it must be cold) water and slowly eat it. We call it ipovrixio (the greek word for submarine) and it's something we all enjoyed as kids
I grew up on "σοκοφρέτα" the classic flavor (red) which you did not try. Just before I became an adult ION produced the hazelnut flavor (green) one, which is my now favorite. Since you are on Crete you should try and find stuffed zucchini flowers in one of the traditional tavernas. It is available only in summer and it is quite difficult to find because it cannot be prepared in large quantities and on a daily basis. My Cretan grandmother used to make this whenever I visited in the summer out of her own garden. Another Cretan dish that you should try is "staka" (a kind of Cretan style sour cream) preferably cooked with eggs. Amazing taste! Finally, you should also try snails, either fried with rosemary (boubouristoi) or boiled in tomato sauce. Enjoy!
We'll make a part 2, there are many things we missed😅 We did try the stuffed zucchini flowers. They were absolutely delicious. 😋🤤 We might have to do another video trying more authentic dishes, a food edition this time. I'd love to try some less tourist known dishes. Thank you so much for all the suggestions!🙏💙💙
I have a strategy every time I go to Greece. I take carry on luggage that is almost empty so I can bring all those snacks back home to the US with me and re-live my childhood 😃 Try Cheetos pitsinia ( crunchy bacon strips) pipistachio loukoumi and ice cream made with mastiha called kaïmaki and last but not least pavlidis dark chocolate in the blue wrapping …. Super cool video!
Thank you for watching and for the suggestions, we'lldefinitelygive them a try. I'm glad you enjoyed it!😊 This is a good strategy! Is it difficult to find greek sweets or products in the US? I thought there might be a few greek shops 🤔. We used to have plenty of romanian shops in Uk, but here in Crete, there aren't any.
One of the most popular snack in Greece are croissants, its the country with the biggest croissant per capita consumption I once read, the best one is Molto, but the texture of the very cheap Trendy croissant is also not bad.. My favourites since childhood are Drakoulinia from Cheetos (ofc the Romanians liked them ^^), and any Sokofreta. My favourite desserts you should try are Touloumpes, Kornedakia and Trigona Panoramatos. Also, since you are on Crete, the earliest recipe for Baklava is from Crete, look it up, its from the very early medieval times in Byzantine empire and its name was κοπτοπλακόν (koptoplakon) its very likely that is even older from ancient times, also the sesame snack is known to exist since ancient greek times. Thank you for showing this video on Sunday, were i cant buy anything like this now except of the very expensive gas station 2km away from me. Also, dont forget after so much sugar.....stay hydrated. 👌🏻💦💦
First of all, sorry for posting this clip Sunday 😂😂. And why is everything closed on Sunday? Secound, from what you wrote here, there are plenty of stuff to try in the next video, so we advise you to buy some in advance 😂😂💙🙏
I duno't know who helped you compile this basket of snacks but what you had there is the pinacle of greek snackdom. Every single item in there is top tier, incredible. Great job guys and we greeks are glad you enjoying our snacks and your stay here.
Bake rolls! You have to try them! Also, get fresh bread from the bakery, slice it, spread some butter and sprinkle some sugar on top. My grandma used to give us this. Simple but epic.
I really enjoyed your video. Such a lovely couple, relaxing music and fun vibes! For your next video, I suggest to taste soft pasteli (melato), also Allatini biscuits!
Hello nice video. It is important where you buy from, be sure it's fresh. I recommend Freddo Cappuccino, Galaktoboureko, Cheesecake, Profiterole, Ravani with ice cream, Diples, Melomakarona, Apple pie, Pasta flora, Spanakopita, Zamponotiropita, Milko cocoa, Tiropita, Manitaropita (all kinds of pies), souvlaki with kotobacon - chicken bacon, mousaka, patsitsio, makaronia me kima, greek pizza, meatballs, Greek fried potatoes, stuffed chicken with cheese and bacon, stuffed tomatoes with rice (and potatoes in the dish), chicken with potatoes in the oven, spanakorizo, prasorizo, soupies me spanaki, kleftiko, crepes of all kinds, soufle with taglateles and besamel, pishia with cheese, pontiak soup tanea (with rice and yoghurt), soutzoukakia smirneika, politikos halvas, fanouropita, horta (vlita is my best), greek salad with feta cheese, kalamaraki, octapus, poikilia kreatikon, club sandwich, everything from Goody's, galeos skordalia, fasolia gigantes, fava, mizithra, graviera, kefalotiri, patata from naxos, patata from nevrokopi, bougatsa (with cream, meat, cheese), koulouria, koulourakia, spetsofai, loukoumades, biftekia, kotosoupa, fasolakia, papoutsakia
Definitely ionnnnnn the best!!! Ion is first in sales for 60 years because of its very balanced taste between the choco and sweetness and it's velvet taste when it melts slowly in your mouth ❤
@Sunpire Thank you for reading my coment ! My favorite is ion with almonds , almost the leading chocolate in everyone's childhood memory.! With second best Pavlides dark chocolate. Thanks again I hope you had a nice vacation in Greece , take care bouth of you ! 🌷❤️
Thank you for watching!💙🙏 we just published a part 2 and tried ION with Almonds. It is great! We actually moved here in Crete at the beginning of the year. We love Greece!🇬🇷💙
Great video you guys! Merenda is not that much liquid-y but in the heat of the summer, it melts easier than Nutella. But is is tastier than Nutella in my opinion. As for Lacta or Ion... Ion hands down. I'm glad that you liked some of them. Some are really favorite things from my childhood!
Since you love coconut, I definitely suggest the Papadopoulou biscuits with coconut filling. They are like the banana ones, but with coconut. Your reactions were great! Much love from Greece!
I think I'll love them, it sounds delicious 🤤🤤 the will definitely be on the list for part 2!❤️ I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Much love from us too!💙💙🇬🇷
ION of course! ION milk chocolate and with almonds are the chocolates of my childhood. You need also to try from Papadopoulou the Miranda biscuits and the Gemista (like the ones with banana) but with chocolate. Find the Soft Kings cookies too. For chips I would suggest Lays with Salt and Vinegar, it's THE BEST. You can also pair them with ION chocolate as it makes a great combination of sour and sweet taste.
You have to try.. Amaretti waffers the classic and with hazelnuts.. The classic sokofreta.. Coconut stick.. Coconut stick with cocoa.. Pavlidis chocolate bar with whole almonds.. The Derby in the gold wrap.. ION chocolate bar with whole almonds..
Snack recommendations: Vanilla caprice Ipovrihio (it’s a desert which you dunk in COLD water /has to be cold/ and eat it) Kormos (it’s a Greek desert, I think in English it’s called a Yule log desert) Sour cream and onion pringles chips
That's a great idea. It never crossed my mind😅 on these hot days it's great! Maybe it works with Merenda, too, to make it thicker? Has anyone tried that? 🤔
First time seeing you guys. very nice video, but I have to recommend you to try a sweet that is not sold in any store and it is very rare to find it ready somewhere. it's toast bread, you spread one slice with Merenda or Nutella and put small pieces of banana and cover it with another piece of toast and eat it a bit (you can think of it as a sandwich with Merenda or Nutella and banana)...I hope you have a great time in Greece
Thank you for watching and taking the time to write a comment!🙏💙 It sounds so delicious 😋🤤 we will absolutely try this ! I'm surprised you eat it toasted, on this heat 😂 I think it will be the best snack in the winter with a hot chocolate!💙
LACTA plain milk chocolate (the classic) , ION milk chocolate with almonds + the blue ION (black chocolate). These are their original products. For info ION was founded in the 30s. Lacta was marketed for the first time in the 60s but the mother company (Pavlides) dates back to the years of Greek independence (1830s).
Hi guys, nice video! There's another Derby bar that you haven't tried, the Caramel Derby. It has caramel and coconut inside, with chocolate crust, and it is crunchy of course! It's my favorite! Also, I suggest you try another good snack produced in Greece: El Sabor nacho chips with chili flavor. Delicious and mildly spicy. They are amazing!
As a Greek i love waching people trying Greek foods! It's so beautiful to watch foreign people to visit Greece and like our culture and our food of course😂I prefer Lacta but I'm a chocolate's person so i like everything that is chocolate 😂Also for the caprice try putting them on the fridge!TRUST ME Its really GOODDD
Nice video :) My favorite chocolate is : ΙΟΝ Break white chocolate (There many ION Brake chocolates, but with the white chocolate + Raisin + Almond + Hazelnut is the best) Also if you like strawberry , you can taste LILA PAUSE , or Παυλίδης KISS . And for last , the old time classic ΙΟΝ Noisetta. (it is a little expensive)
@@Sunpire It's the same idea, same phyllo, different stuffing.. The kind of stuffing makes it a dessert or not. It;s "bougatsa me tyri" or "bougatsa me kima" (minced meat).
You have to try the caprice cold....put them to fridge for a couple hours and then try them!!!! And if you want something cheese try the cheetos garidakia (γαριδακια).
For chips i would say definitely try Jumbo Country Chips from ohonos (balsamic and vinegar is my favorite) II don't eat many sweets but violanta is my favorite brand especially those Cookies Filled with Peanut butter..
Merenda was too liquid because of the heat. It's not supposed to be that liquid. As a child i preferred Lacta, but as an adult it's too sweet for my tastebuds so i switched to ION team Cheetos has recently changed the flavor of a lot of their snacks. The drakoulinia you tasted ( the purple bag ones) is the new horrible flavor, where you can only taste plasticy tomato. The original ones where by far superior and had more cheese in them. They did the same thing with their Pizza flavoured ones ( ring shaped snacks in a green bag) I'd suggest trying JUMBO snacks ( by a Greek company names OHONO) as well. they make VERY crunchy chips and their cheese puffs (especially the JUMBO Garidares) are very tasty. EXTRA snacks are also a good alternative . Blue yellow bag for cheese puffs and blue red bag for pizza-ish flavor
Thank you so much for watching and for all the suggestions!🙏💙 we'll definitely try some of them in the part 2 video. I'm very excited 😂. Yes, after a few hours in the fridge, merenda is way thicker!😋
@@Sunpirethis is the chocolate that every one who was born in the 80s or 90s was eating as a child!! It reminds us of our childhood!!!! And its also a very good chocolate apart from this!!!!!
Please try Greek deserts. One of the most is bougatsa. Also baklava and milk pie, lukumades. Traditionally we eat lukumades with honey but some prefer it with honey and a little bit of cinnamon or without honey.
2:26 In Greece, if you say "Fistíki" you mean "Peanut". But if you say "Fistíki Aeginis" (Peanut from Aegina island), you mean "Pistachios". I know, it sounds a bit complicated.😊
@@Sunpire Yes, you have to say "Fistíki Egínis" or "San-Fistík" (the more traditional term). Else if you just ask for "Fistíkia" they will give you peanuts. 😅
@@Sunpire You are welcome! You are very quick learners nevertheless! Besides, you got confused with what Greek people sometimes get confused too, so no big deal. 😁
I think you also would like pizza flavored snacks. Personally I like natural juices (100% fruit juice without additional water and/or sugar). About Nutella like products, there are two main of them in Greece, Merenda and (ION) Nucrema.. You can find dark choc variations in smaller brands.. ION is producing dark Nucrema in its Bulgarian factory.. but only for the local market. Also in every super market you will find refrigerated gyros (or yeeros, if we want to write it following the pronounciation) at packages of 330gr.. there are many brands.
Thank you for watching and dropping this comment 🙏! We do like pizza flavour and also bacon flavour for crisps. We love the natural juice, too. Fresh orange juice is my favourite. Usually, we don't drink juice at all. Thank you for all the information.😊 we didn’t even know there is a dark option for something similar to Nutella.
DOLMADAKIA my dudes, do not try it from a can / κονσέρβα!!! Go to a proper taverna / restaurant and order some 'fresh' ones! Even better, get some proper recipes and learn to cook them yourselves - it is definitely one of the favorite dishes of Greek cuisine, Top-5 stuff Can watch R already, stealing the grapes AND the leaves
This is a good one! 🤣 let me tell you, getting the leaves it will be no problem 😂 I'm sure in the taverna it's amazing and even tastier. We have to give it a try and try to make them ourselves. Maybe we'll make a video 🤔
@@Sunpire pick the most tender leaves, they are usually at the top of the branch and they shine more than the others as for the sarmadakia, I don't know if we say it in northern Greece or we call it Pontian dolmades, it's with cabbage leaves, sarmadakia is with grape leaves
Oh, yes!🤤 Dolmadakia is growing on us! I think we're starting to replace the dakos with it. The other day, we found ourselves walking on the street, snaking on a dolmadakia can 🤣🤣
Someone in this video seems to have an overdose of sugar 👱♀..... the classic flavor of the filled cookies is the one with chocolate and they are the most famous in Greece.
Actually, the ion sticks are in the market around 3 years but the chocofreta is your childhood indeed ❤ and our choice as adults ALSO The sesame bar is called "pasteli" and the real ones are with honey and sesame and are soft, but some others like this are with sugar syrup and they are harder...its not the traditionals but its ok (if you don't have a problem with your teeth)😅
You should try Τουλουμπάκια/Τουλούμπες and λουκουμάκια! They are incredible deserts and are found all over Greece! Also, you should also try Vikos cola! It's alot like a greek Coca Cola and it also has a zero sugar version!
Next time you can try chocolate named break by ion and other flavors of lacta the have a bunch of different flavors. Also through in the mix loukoumi (classic flavor rose, matsiha etc) halvadopita & candies like with ouzo flavor (blue wrapper) or there little spheres with red wrapper or mammy's (hard candies).
Some corrections-advises about the products i saw in this video... 1: Try the Ohonos brand than Tsakiris in chips 2: Try the local Chania soft drinks brand called "TEMENIA" or "GERANI" than LOUX 3: No comparison between Lacta and ION...(ION FOREVER) 4: The classic derby is not the colours you tested but the gold one colour with red and brown stripes 5: The classic "chocofreta" from ION is the Red one...the hazelnut and the dark came a lot after the red one (nevertheless the hazelnut is the best 😉😉😉) 6: Try the "NUCREMA" instead of "MERENDA"... 7: Try the BIG ION MILK CHOCOLATE WITH WHOLE ALMONDS...(I said that again but you must no forget it the next time😂😂😂) Wish you the best... Καλή συνέχεια...
This is very much appreciated! 💙💙 The decision has been made, and there will be a part 2 to make up !😂 ION chocolate with WHOLE Almonds will be there for sure! Thanks again for all the recommendations. We're excited to try them all🤩
Merenda is indeed more thin than Nutella. This makes it better as a dip or spread over bread in breakfast. Nutella that's more dense is used in sweet crepes exactly because it remains thick even after heating. As for the Ion Vs Lacta dillema... ION is always the winner. Since you tried Derby, you should also try KISS bar (chocolate with strawberry mouse). For potato chips you could try Lays with mediterranean herbs that are oven baked. They contain less oil, are crunchier and healthier.
As a Greek kid, I grew up liking Lacta chocolate because it’s a bit sweeter. But as I got older, especially after high school, I started preferring ION chocolate. By the way, ION with hazelnuts is the best combo-you should try it!.
Merenda, pacotinia, dracoulinia, fountounia, my favourite snacks! Surprisingly, I've never tasted Derby, but after seeing you having all 3 flavours, I want to as they sound amazing! ❤❤❤
There are 3 basic chocolates in Greece 1) ION (milk chocolate) , 2) LACTA (milk chocolate) , 3) PAVLIDIS (dark chocolate - ygeias). So you have to try Pavlidis chocolate (the blue one).
LACTA or ION? 🤔❓
Oh, PLEASE don't eat junk "food". It's not part of the Cretan diet. (At my age I need all the preservatives I can get, but you don't have that excuse.) Dolmadhakia is OK but make it fresh - not from a tin.

@@Sunpireno the merenda put it in the refrigerator and the Caprice in the freezer.
Got it!💙🍫
Wait, what? Caprice in the freezer?
@@Sunpire yes you won't believe the flavor it's incredible😍😍.
You can also try ION 3BIT one of my favourites too!!
Thank you very much for watching us and for taking the time to leave a comment 💙💙🙏🤗. We will try it in the next video
Try souvlaki, and put the caprice in the refrigerator for 1 hour, trust me
We love souvlaki💙💙💙 thanks for the tips 🙏
Where are you watching from?
First time seeing you guys. very nice video, but I have to recommend you to try a sweet that is not sold in any store and it is very rare to find it ready somewhere. it's toast bread, you spread one slice with Merenda or Nutella and put small pieces of banana and cover it with another piece of toast and eat it a bit (you can think of it as a sandwich with Merenda or Nutella and banana)...I hope you have a great time in Greece
Thank you for watching and taking the time to write a comment!🙏💙
It sounds so delicious 😋🤤 we will absolutely try this !
Thank you so much for the info!🙏 ❤️ we didn’t know these brands were so old. They really are authentic!
I am from Greece and all sweets are so good and yummy 😋🤤❤ Nutella is so Sweet νόστιμο
You have to taste
1. Oreo cookies
2. Soft kings cookies
3. Vanilia - ipovrixrio
4. Crunch chocolate with rise!!
Thank me later 😊
Thanks for all the suggestions!🙏 We'll try them in the next one🤩
Oh yes perfect all
❤️❤️🙏
Oreo ,crunch are not greek!❤
Hi guys, nice video!
There's another Derby bar that you haven't tried, the Caramel Derby.
It has caramel and coconut inside, with chocolate crust, and it is crunchy of course!
It's my favorite!
Also, I suggest you try another good snack produced in Greece:
El Sabor nacho chips with chili flavor. Delicious and mildly spicy.
They are amazing!
Mmm😋 sounds amazing!💙 we'll add them to the list for part 2!❤️🍫 I can't wait 😂
Thank you!🙏
100% team ION...
BUT, ION with almonds for sure...its so much better
also, you MUST try ION with whole hazelnuts (big bar with green wrapping)
They both sound amazing! Hazelnut or coconut are my favourite chocolate flavours 🍫❤️❤️
ION Break with almonds is by far the best Greek chocolate
Try Ohonos snacks, their country chips are amazing, green cola for beverages, violanda biscuits have also a wide variety .
We'll add them to the part 2 list😅 so many good things 😋🤤
ION almonds Top 💯
We will have to try this one next 🤍💙🤗
@@Sunpire yes also with the song:made in Romania 🙂
As a Greek i love waching people trying Greek foods! It's so beautiful to watch foreign people to visit Greece and like our culture and our food of course😂I prefer Lacta but I'm a chocolate's person so i like everything that is chocolate 😂Also for the caprice try putting them on the fridge!TRUST ME Its really GOODDD
Thank you so much for watching!💙🙏 We love Greece and actually moved to Crete 8 months ago!
Guys i from Greece and and I know everything for this XD so I'm ION team i love caprice 😁
Thank you very much for watching us and for taking the time to leave a comment 💙💙🙏🤗. Welcome to Ion team
Damn!!!! You made me wanna go to the supermarket! :)
I know...these videos are hard to watch 😅🙈
What do you wanna buy, though? Any favourite?😋
@@Sunpire i' am a "sweet" guy :) :) ION chocolate with almonds, Merenda and Caprice as well! :)
These are TOP favourites 🍫❤️❤️❤️
Nice video :)
My favorite chocolate is : ΙΟΝ Break white chocolate (There many ION Brake chocolates, but with the white chocolate + Raisin + Almond + Hazelnut is the best)
Also if you like strawberry , you can taste LILA PAUSE , or Παυλίδης KISS .
And for last , the old time classic ΙΟΝ Noisetta. (it is a little expensive)
Thank you very much for watching us and for taking the time to leave a comment 💙💙🙏🤗
Greek foods are immortal🎉 I'm from Greece, and I know😊
When I was young i used to dip the pakotinia cheetos in ketchup. You should try it
That sounds like something I used to do when I was a child 😂😂. Thank you 💙
ION has chocolate spread as well. It's Nucrema! and if you like ION better than other chocolates it's amazing!
We'll try that !😋🍫❤️
You gotta try creme bougatsa, they also make cheese and meat filling.
Is this the same like bougatsa the dessert?🤔💙🙏
@@Sunpire It's the same idea, same phyllo, different stuffing..
The kind of stuffing makes it a dessert or not.
It;s "bougatsa me tyri" or "bougatsa me kima" (minced meat).
Papadopoulos Sandwich biscuits with Orange, Strawberry, Lemon and Coconut are amazing... Try it
Sounds delicious!🤤 we'll try them next time , in a part 2 💙💙
Thank you for watching and for the suggestions!😋
Hi I am from Greece 🇬🇷
Hello from Crete 🇬🇷 👋 🤍💙🤍💙
@@Sunpire Crete has amazing food. Check if they have Kosmikon for galaktoboureko
You mean in the taverns?
@@Sunpire I live in Athens
You have to try the caprice cold....put them to fridge for a couple hours and then try them!!!! And if you want something cheese try the cheetos garidakia (γαριδακια).
Thank you for the recommendations and for watching!🙏💙💙
For chips i would say definitely try Jumbo Country Chips from ohonos (balsamic and vinegar is my favorite)
II don't eat many sweets but violanta is my favorite brand especially those Cookies Filled with Peanut butter..
Thank you very much for watching us and for taking the time to leave a comment 💙💙🙏🤗. We will try them in our next video
Foarte Buna prezentare!felititari 😊
Multumim 💙🙏
Merenda was too liquid because of the heat. It's not supposed to be that liquid.
As a child i preferred Lacta, but as an adult it's too sweet for my tastebuds so i switched to ION team
Cheetos has recently changed the flavor of a lot of their snacks. The drakoulinia you tasted ( the purple bag ones) is the new horrible flavor, where you can only taste plasticy tomato. The original ones where by far superior and had more cheese in them. They did the same thing with their Pizza flavoured ones ( ring shaped snacks in a green bag)
I'd suggest trying JUMBO snacks ( by a Greek company names OHONO) as well. they make VERY crunchy chips and their cheese puffs (especially the JUMBO Garidares) are very tasty.
When I want to eat different chocolate combinations, I pick Lacta (Example: Lacta Oreo). When I want a chocolate with nuts, I pick ION.
That is very interesting. Thank you very much for watching us and for taking the time to leave a comment 💙💙🙏🤗
Milko and cheesepie for breakfast!
Sounds delicious 😋
Nice vid, adorable coupe. May you live the dream.
Thank you!🙏❤️

Hello 🤍💙🤍🤗
Ion team all day long!
Welcome to ION TEAM 💙🤍💙😂😂😂😂
Since you are in Crete, try the Cretan ones (not just snacks, also dishes), they have many special ones you cannot find ouside of the island
4:43 in north greece we also have this but we call it "yiaprakia" it's rice with minced meat wrapped up by boiled cabbage with a red sauce
Oooh, we would love to try something like that! 💙🤍💙🤍
try ion with whole almond.
Everyone is recommending this one, it must be good!😂🍫 It's on the list for part 2!
@@Sunpirethis is the chocolate that every one who was born in the 80s or 90s was eating as a child!! It reminds us of our childhood!!!! And its also a very good chocolate apart from this!!!!!
The best by far !! Put it in the refrigerator for a while..
It is a bit confusing 😂 thanks for clarifying, it makes sense now 😅🙏
But in speaking, do you always say the whole thing when you want to refer to pistachio?😅
@@Sunpire Yes, you have to say "Fistíki Egínis" or "San-Fistík" (the more traditional term). Else if you just ask for "Fistíkia" they will give you peanuts. 😅
Thank you! We heard it before but probably made a shortcut in our minds and just remembered fistikia😂
ΙΟΝ with almond's
On the list for the next time🍫❤️
Simply the Best Greek chocolate ! ION Break with almonds ❤🎉
😊 im greece and i love them to for the greeks για σας ειναι τελια

DOLMADAKIA
my dudes, do not try it from a can / κονσέρβα!!!
Go to a proper taverna / restaurant and order some 'fresh' ones!
Even better, get some proper recipes and learn to cook them yourselves - it is definitely one of the favorite dishes of Greek cuisine, Top-5 stuff
Can watch R already, stealing the grapes AND the leaves
This is a good one! 🤣 let me tell you, getting the leaves it will be no problem 😂
I'm sure in the taverna it's amazing and even tastier.
We have to give it a try and try to make them ourselves. Maybe we'll make a video 🤔
@@Sunpire pick the most tender leaves, they are usually at the top of the branch and they shine more than the others
as for the sarmadakia, I don't know if we say it in northern Greece or we call it Pontian dolmades, it's with cabbage leaves, sarmadakia is with grape leaves
Amalia: Please don't give Raul ideas like this 🤣🤣 I can already see him on top of someone's vine yard, peaking the best leaves!😂
@@Sunpire Tell him the best leaves for ntolmadakia are the young / soft ones, not the old, dark green ones LoL
ION ! And if you dip the dolmadakia in yogurt, it's heaven ❤😊
We had to cut 10 min from the video because Amalia was eating everything 😂😂😂😂😂. What filled cookies?
@@Sunpire the cookies you tried with the banana flavor, the classic ones are the ones with chocolate inside
Amalia: I haven't had a bar of chocolate🍫 in MONTHS 🤣🤣🤣 can you tell?
If you want to test cheesy flips, you have to try the jumbo !
Also traditional sweets like pasteli are "mantolato" ....
Thank you very much for watching us and for taking the time to leave a comment 💙💙🙏🤗
Foudounia, ion with almonds, sokofreta the green one and πουρακια!!!!😂
😋🤤🤤 this ion with almonds is popular!🍫
Actually, the ion sticks are in the market around 3 years but the chocofreta is your childhood indeed ❤
and our choice as adults
ALSO
The sesame bar is called "pasteli" and the real ones are with honey and sesame and are soft, but some others like this are with sugar syrup and they are harder...its not the traditionals but its ok (if you don't have a problem with your teeth)😅
Pakotinia is not cheesy enough? did you get a dud ? haha
If it doesn't smell like dirty socks 🧦when you open the bag, it's not the real deal🤣🤣
You should try Τουλουμπάκια/Τουλούμπες and λουκουμάκια! They are incredible deserts and are found all over Greece! Also, you should also try Vikos cola! It's alot like a greek Coca Cola and it also has a zero sugar version!
We will have to make a video where we try only deserts and maybe this Greek coca cola 💙🤍💙🤍
😮 sarmale???
Sarmalakia 😂😂😂😂, sarmale without the meat 🍖
Next time you can try chocolate named break by ion and other flavors of lacta the have a bunch of different flavors. Also through in the mix loukoumi (classic flavor rose, matsiha etc) halvadopita & candies like with ouzo flavor (blue wrapper) or there little spheres with red wrapper or mammy's (hard candies).
Mmm🤤 thanks for all the recommendations! We'll try some in the part 2 for sure!❤️🍫
Some corrections-advises about the products i saw in this video...
1: Try the Ohonos brand than Tsakiris in chips
2: Try the local Chania soft drinks brand called "TEMENIA" or "GERANI" than LOUX
3: No comparison between Lacta and ION...(ION FOREVER)
4: The classic derby is not the colours you tested but the gold one colour with red and brown stripes
5: The classic "chocofreta" from ION is the Red one...the hazelnut and the dark came a lot after the red one (nevertheless the hazelnut is the best 😉😉😉)
6: Try the "NUCREMA" instead of "MERENDA"...
7: Try the BIG ION MILK CHOCOLATE WITH WHOLE ALMONDS...(I said that again but you must no forget it the next time😂😂😂)
Wish you the best...
Καλή συνέχεια...
This is very much appreciated! 💙💙 The decision has been made, and there will be a part 2 to make up !😂 ION chocolate with WHOLE Almonds will be there for sure!
Thanks again for all the recommendations. We're excited to try them all🤩
Here is Raul: Raul is in ION team forever, so there are 2 of us 👍🏻
@@Sunpire 🤣🤣🤣
#7 always my favorite!
Have you tried the Jumbo Country chips with salt? I really love it
Not yet. We haven't tried any Jumbo. We will in the next video 💙🤍
The pakotinia and drakoulinia isn't the original flavor, i don't know what they put in. it's not the same as in the '90s. Shame on you tasty!
How were the original ones?🤔
@@Sunpire 10x times better. They recently changed the original flavour. Big downgrade 😢
🥹
Merenda is indeed more thin than Nutella. This makes it better as a dip or spread over bread in breakfast. Nutella that's more dense is used in sweet crepes exactly because it remains thick even after heating. As for the Ion Vs Lacta dillema... ION is always the winner. Since you tried Derby, you should also try KISS bar (chocolate with strawberry mouse). For potato chips you could try Lays with mediterranean herbs that are oven baked. They contain less oil, are crunchier and healthier.
Thank you for watching and for the great suggestions!💙 ION wins!🍫❤️
Oh, canned dolmades, nooo!!
If you ever get a chance, try VAP lemonade, simply the best in the world.. thanks for the video ❤️
Thank you 🤍💙🤍💙 . Actually we love canned dolmades 😂😂
As a Greek kid, I grew up liking Lacta chocolate because it’s a bit sweeter. But as I got older, especially after high school, I started preferring ION chocolate. By the way, ION with hazelnuts is the best combo-you should try it!.
Thank you 💙🤍💙🤍
Merenda, pacotinia, dracoulinia, fountounia, my favourite snacks! Surprisingly, I've never tasted Derby, but after seeing you having all 3 flavours, I want to as they sound amazing! ❤❤❤
💙🤍💙🤍💙
There are 3 basic chocolates in Greece 1) ION (milk chocolate) , 2) LACTA (milk chocolate) , 3) PAVLIDIS (dark chocolate - ygeias).
So you have to try Pavlidis chocolate (the blue one).
Thank you very much for watching and for the recommendation!🙏💙 we will try that in the next video!😋
