Maybe a onesie would help boomer. I know people use them when dogs are neutered and spayed so they won’t lick. I want to get the Maria Theresa book and the Roosevelt book. They Roosevelt sounds especially intriguing. Just up my alley. I hope martine starts feeling better. Happy thanksgiving!!!!!
Boomer and a onesie... well, he has several because he's a fashion-conscious dog about town with a growing social media following. Aaaaaannd, he hates them all. Takes them very personally. If you put Boomer in a onesie, it's like removing the battery from a car. It. Will. Not. Start. Thanks for the kind wishes. Just rising out of the lettuce-induced attack from hell that spent five days doing terrible, violent things. "Go eat a salad", they said. "It'll be good for you", they said. Lies. All lies.
Hi Peg, I have read The Sinner and The Saint. I thought it was a little unorganized and ended too abruptly, but it was very interesting. As someone who loves Dostoyevsky, I really enjoyed reading it. I would like to read it again a little more carefully. I knew a lot of Dostoyevsky's life, but I didn't know some of the details this book includes and I had never heard about Lafayette. It's not a perfect book, but it was good. I hope you enjoy it.
That's too bad about Martine. All the best for her recovery. Oh, and for Boomer's suppuration problem -- which makes me want to say "ew," "cool," and "poor doggie" simultaneously. Careful there, Peg. Reading about triumphalist popes. Listening to chanting nuns. Hope you're not thinking of joining us at the feet of the scarlet beast woman with her cup of earthly abominations. 😉 As a huge Dostoevsky fan, I'm definitely interested in The Sinner and the Saint. And I LOVED listening to Coast to Coast AM when working nights back in the day! It was absolute rot, yet managed to be a great show. 😂 And ya gotta look out for them circle blurbs. 😳 Hmm. So many potential "Yeah, what of it?" or "Whatevah, I do what I want!" connections that might have triggered laughter over Alice Roosevelt's saucy photo spreads. I wonder which one. 🤔 Have a nice weekend in any case.
"Let it be, there will be an answer," it does look a shining light in your study. You are going to be reading all about Frederick the Great, Louis XV and Gerorge II (Jacobite here)😂, all you ever wanted to know about Maria-Theresa. Get well Martine.
@@martineokeeffe9326Was it that repulsive red leaf lettuce? Because that stuff makes me ill even when it's not infested with problematic microbes. And I'm not talking about "ill" in that metaphorical Dennis Hopper from Blue Velvet "Warm Pabst makes me f---in' puke!" kind of way.
I hope Martine and the dogs are all feeling better by now.

Thanks for the mention of Hamilton Book. I'd never heard of the company before, and I will check it out (like I really need more books 😊).

Love Gregorian chant! Great books. They sound very interesting. Blessings and prayers.
I have now checked out Hamilton Book and must say you are a wicked, wicked woman. So many temptations.
😂
You are not helping my book budget, dear bookish friend!!
Food poisoning, yikes! So sorry 😣
Man! That book by Birmingham isn't on Hamilton Books anymore! 😭 That book sounds so good!
Oh martine!😢 prayers for healing. What food made her sick. Carrots. Mcdonalds. Ugh. So much yuck coming through these days.😮
@@cathy2142 Lettuce. It was lettuce. The food of sadness.

Hi peg👋📚📚📚📚😊
Hi, Cathy! :)
Added the Roosevelts book to my Hamilton wish list. I also have the book on Alice on my Amazon list (if I can't get it from HB).
Kudos.
