This video is my first time doing a full voiced guide, so let me know what you think! I want to do all of the base cast characters before their official additions to the game, so your feedback means a lot on making sure the rest of em are even better!
The coolest part of the base cast update is how the characters get respites and sometimes even completely different moves, like Olympia's down special having different sprites.
when orcane hits you with the back hitbox of fair it is called a bubble butt. if you play the orcane tutorial you will find dan fornace himself named it as such
some feedback: I think It'd be nice to see the moves when they aren't hitting the opponent. sometimes I want to see the full animations of the moves without the opponent distracting me. (this applies to the regular guides too)
I mean, to be fair, there aren’t a whole bunch of water fighters to pull from, at least not a lot that are very popular. At least from the top of my head I can only think of Hodan, Zerra, and that fish in a mech as water OCs in general. You could maybe count Trummel and Alto, tho that is a quite a stretch, even more so since TnA 2
maybe people are going to start to make more water based OC's now that there is a paddern on the selection for base cast (assuming that they are going to do more than just one workshop pass)
I think if anything he'd be the ultimate hold backward, because you need backwards charge to power up his forward strong/air for example.. as mentioned in the video, he plays a lot like a zoner at first. very much not hold forward
Thank godddd, I found 0 useful Hodan tutorials, including the specific Hodan discord server which only had videos on basic fighting game footsies in the tutorial channel. granted he'll be buffed and better in the final release but still, this is sick!
@@idk_what_im_doing04 his up special rising tackle. You hold down and release up to use a farther flying, more invincible and stronger version of it. He essentially looks blue when doing it
im pretty new to this game ive been messing around with different characters to put some times in to and learn i dont disslike any of the characters which is why making a choice is so hard but hodan seems like a really strong option for me thanks for the guide!
ok after playing olympia for like a whole day i watched some people play this guy, and it never hit me untill he did a fucking blanka ball, blanka is my baby
You mean Hodan's Stage? We don't even know if he's getting one, and it isn't out yet. The only stages in the video are Friday Night Funkin and Fire Capitol.
@@mguymario kINdA cLiCKbAiT - can you read? if you haven't noticed, every Rivals character has a tagline. The Fire's Roar, The Sylvan Watcher, etc. Hodan is The Hot Springs Sage.

I liked it a lot. Kudos to you! Excited for more!
Good job zetta I like the voice overs for the guides also love your content

You should do guides for the other 3 characters

FGC: Why do smash players give their tech such stupid names?

I just want N//A that abyss Axolotl

Can Hodan technically be the ultimate "Hold Foward" due to his steam?

With this
I can finally return to monke.
We can finally return my friend
so, he's basically Guile but monke
Blanka/Guile
I personally though of May, myself. She's monkey flipping around a lot in +R.
Zetta: thoroughly explains Hodan's combos, kill confirms and steam setups.
Me: Haha down smash on steam go brrrrrrr

Cool! I never understood this guy, this should help.
Edit: almost forgot, day... 6? Of asking for Aramelle move set and showcase!
Yoooo DK/Orcane dash attack!
this was a very helpful video, keep it up! 😀
i gotta say hodan is super freakin complex and original and cool but
ugh he's so had to play as
he has a high skill cap but once u master him he becomes an S tier character
Terry Bogard in smash bros has a charge move.
wait, really? which move?

What's the video you used of the tournament fight? i'd like to see the full thing
oo oo aa aa
I thought Hodan's "element" was sweat, since his projectile creates sweat spirits and all that.
hodan my beloved
Please make one of these for Olympia. I want to main her
Yoo new vid
Balance wise I see why that is, but it’s kinda annoying Hodan can’t just yeet people into the void with up strong command grab
Which editing software do you use?
I use Hitfilm Express!
Nice
I need someone to do this with wrastor lol
