It was a scary experiment with Sony FX30 and Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 I was filming in a heavy rain, but it held good, there was no problem at all.

Great shots of the rain man. Have you had any issues with the Tamron's stabilisation? Seen a few reviews about how it's jumpy even with active stabilisation on?

Well I didn’t have any trouble with it because I shot with Sony ZVE10 which has no in body stabilization, but if you use camera with in body stabilization like a6700 or FX30 then it can cause weird things like artifacts and “gelly corners”. But it’s only when you turn on both in camera and lens stabilization, so you can actually avoid it by turning off in camera.

What are you using to waterproof the camera?

Well Sony FX 30 is a water sealed camera , at least what is Sony is saying😁so I combined it with Tamron 17-70mm lens which is also water resistant. It was the first time I shot in such a crazy weather 😅 Of course you cannot shoot with it in under water for that you need a special case 🙂 but for rainy days it’s ok , at least my one had no problem 😊
