Eugenio Mastrandrea is an incredible and believable actor in From Scratch. I think a lot of women fell in love with him on screen. He's a very handsome and sexy man. Zoe and Eugenio were so good and a very believable couple on screen.

What a beautiful soul Eugenio Mastrandrea has. As an actor, his ability to convey so much with just his eyes is remarkable. I appreciated him in La fuggitiva and I loved him in From Scratch. Beyond his incredible acting, though, his humility is what comes across so powerfully in this interview by the love and admiration he displays for Paride Benassai. Most actors wouldn't admit to being taught something by a fellow actor. They would just let the positive result speak for itself and keep it to themselves. But Eugenio celebrates having learned Sicilian 'on the job' from one of the great Sicilian actors, Paride Benassai. It's also a testament to how good a student of languages Eugenio is. There is probably no accent or language he can't conquer in short order! Awards and plentiful roles will certainly come his way for his outstanding acting abilities, but having become an adoptive son and true friend to Paride Benassai during the filming of From Scratch is a gift that will keep on giving for the rest of his life. And it was Eugenio's humility and generosity of spirit that allowed that to happen. I'm sure that Paride Benassai feels equally blessed by this special relationship. Sono solo amici? No! I think they are something great.

He was filming another TV show during the press tour of the “from scratch “ interview . Tembe Locke says that in her most recent interviews. The lead actress Zoe does him credit though . Whole cast did A fantastic job💯💯💯. This is possibly why you don’t see so many interviews with him!!!

I would say Eugenio went above and beyond anyone’s expectation. His chemistry with Zoe was undeniably great! But on his own, I think he carried his role very well. He was definitely the perfect man to portray Lino👌🏻
You will see him in the new The Equalizer 3 with Denzel Washington. They shoot now in the Costiera Amalfitana.

I can only imagine the emotional weight of it took to play this role. I had started by binge watching the episodes but by the end I could only take in 20 minute segments. Oh goodness I'm tearing up again and it's been two weeks!

Eugenio is so talented, he totally embodied the character Lino. The chemistry between Eugenio and Zoe pulled me in from the begining. I see awards coming his way for his outstanding performance. Can't wait to see him in the next Equalizer movie with Denzel Washington.

I started “From Scratch” when it first came out.
I got to the end of season 5 and had to stop.
I picked it back up and just finished today.
In the past 6-1/2 years my family has suffered major losses.
In all that time I cried once.
I have shed a tear or two but nothing more.
I lost my mother in October 2017 followed by 2 brothers in April and May of 2018.
Then the traumatic loss of my daughter in August 2018 followed by my younger sister’s husband in June 2021.
I have been unable to cry other than once when taking my mom off life support.
I was completely surprised by the emotions I was feeling watching "From Scratch".
While I wasn’t sobbing, my face was continually and completely wet for the last three episodes.
I found this very healing for me.
I can honestly say it helped me with my own grief.
The acting was felt so very real and convincing to me.
Eugenio and Zoe's chemistry was phenomenal. The acting beyond superb.
I found myself scouring the Internet to find out more about Eugenio Mastrandrea.
I look forward to seeing more of his work.
The whole project is just simply amazing. Deserves multiple awards definitely. Season 2 pls?
What would you really want them to show? Her life after he died? I really think this is enough and tells so much.

So glad that he played this part and they're right, it was definitely the common reaction to this series, to just cry with them and laugh with them and just totally become immersed in the story. Was gonna say the same. Stylized, and it's a term used widely in cinema (highly stylized).

I’ve seen 5 episodes. Deeply compelling. This man is amazing in this role. After reading some comments, I seen to brace myself for the last few episodes. Knowing how it ends, i started crying at the beginning of ep. 6. So so so profound.

To be honest From Scratch should have been Everybody Loves Lino, even the newborn baby stopped crying when Lino smiled at her. :😀😜🤪 Looking forward to seeing more of Eugenio in other movies.
A fantastic film. Eugenio Mastrandrea was incredible as Lino, but so were other members of the cast. I'm not the "romantic" type per se, but this film really got to me! Kudos to the whole cast!!!
