This is something specific to vim and isn't needed if you are using the default settings. I had my vim settings configured to enable the mouse, so I had to disable the mouse before I attempted to right click to paste (otherwise the right click would not register properly). I typed in ":set mouse-=a" without the quotes and hit enter while in normal mode to disable the mouse. I was running Kail in Virtualbox and was able to use hashcat just fine after I allocated additional memory. I realize this is an old comment, but did you get it to work?

Hashcat doesn't work in Kali used in Virtualbox as a Kali VM. Error is: zsh: illegal hardware instruction. Suggestions for a fix?
Don't use a VM you can't access GPU from Virtualbox.

XP special is also "free". Not sure why ophcrack labeled some of their rainbowtables as "free", but they're all available without payment.
