Staggeringly beautiful machine being operated by a very skilled man who is clearly completely comfortable with it in all sorts of working conditions and terrain. A highly efficient timber harvesting operation.
One great machine and operator. The amount of wood this crew moves proves it.
U guys get the real production with that rig. Awesome piece of machinery. Also safe. I'm sure it takes the safety hazards way down due to getting the man out of cutting by chainsaw. Derek knows what he's doing.
it is nice to watch men doing good job thanks tim mike
excellent video Tim I like watching someone run their machine
With a resurgence of paper bags being used in supermarkets in the USA the logging industry future seems assured.Great skills in Tigercat.
man that cutting machine is a mechanical marvel...impressive and much safer for the fella cuttin the trees!
This machine is music to my ears.
Gather/cut and balance---great show---would wear me out!
I've been so fascinated with logging and forestry equipment those feller bunchers are really neat lot of money if I was to win or got gave one it would be the best Tonka toy to play with!!!!!! Haha lol
i think thats one of the coolest machines next to the 635 skidder
That's one of the best bunchers made, local logging company bought one brand new to try like it bought another one I can't remember if they bought a 3rd. Tigercat makes the best tilter on the market since Madill went out of business 10 years ago.
The restarted Madill makes tilters again. www.madillequipment.com/2250C-feller-buncher.php
I just want to thank you for keeping this channel clean.
+Louis Nemick I appreciate u saying that
That is what attracted me to the channel
Damn Tim I love that machine love it love it just pure nasty have a good weekend bud Napa Mike
Great skill.
Great Machine!
From seeing the videos of onboard operation of this machine, I believe that if you can master this machine, you can fly the space shuttle easily.
TIm thanks again for yet another great video keep up the good work man
It always impressed me how someone could run a feller buncher. It takes a lot of skill, especially with that track cutter that y'all operate.
great operator. It would take several months to learn to operate the machine the way he does.
very nice video!
That guy is nice with that machine huh
Awesome.....
I like how Logger Wade style of selective logging because the practice of managing tree trstands.
+Howard Garney Wade is in a completely different area, which is hardwood country and that's how you have to manage a hardwood stand. Here, we are primarily pine and it gets thinned at 16 years and then clear cut at 30 and that's just how u have to manage pine.
Howard Garney nothing wrong with clear cut logging when done right. Here in Maine it's a little different than where Tim is I do 75 percent select cut logging but there are cases where you are better off to clear cut and let it regen.
Derrick can flat out run that cutter. Tim thank you for your videos man I look forward to seeing them everyday
I've seen the cutting wheel throw stuff up To 300 feet away. Kindly keep in mind as we don't want you to get hurt...
Back of that machine should be marked in large red letter
DANGER
STAY BACK 300 feet
Makes the insurance guy's smile when they see that.
Every feller buncher I've seen working in the woods is marked that way
Definitely the way to cut timber in today's forest.
James Shanks the booms are marked
I could sit and watch that machine all day long! That's pretty awesome! It's like a one arm monster in the woods! lol
I like watching this work. It's like a very big and expensive weed eater. Haha hey does he have a bent pad? When you were sitting in your loader filming I kept seeing a pad that looked different than the rest of them on the track that was closest to your loader.
Derrick has a pair of steel ones after watching that machine bobbing around like that. I was looking for my seatbelt.
Tim I bet your Grand dad could not think of a machine like that for timbering.
i love these self leveling zero tail fellers, they have a really aggressive look, and they can back that up
that machine knows nothing other than cutting something! I'm in the excavating buissness, but would love to learn to operate that! nice video
Wow. that's Derrick Da vinci on that thing. Much respect.
Boy, that's got to take some getting used to, rocking from one track to the other on uneven ground with all that weight.
Any update on your truck? Also anymore updates on injection pumps on Kevin's machine? Keep up the great videos.
+Jason Bertrand got it back last night after 10 days.
Injection pump problems have finally stopped
cotontop3 good to hear. Thanks
Good video! One question tho...what is the average weight of the bundles he cuts? I see three or four trees in the grapple when he drops them and was wondering.
Do more videos like this, of just the equipment operating. I enjoy those.
Tim,
I'd love to see that machine running on some 20% plus grade... If you get a chance.
+Douglas Conrad I have several posted on very steep stuff.
cotontop3, I found them.... I love watching these machines. I'm from Northern WV and have some friends that run the Timbcos. Super impressive. I'm envious to say the least. Keep up the great work and God Bless !
That tiger is a bad dude, great operator also.
Nice machine, very efficient! Riding that machine all day would be rough on my body!
Thanks for the video.
....13
one nice machine. I was wondering if you guys go in and replant the trees are does somebody else do it
+Kenny Mysak a planting crew does it.
He's a good operator
awesome machine....does it self level or is that a manual adjustment? I would imagine that no one should be within 100 feet of that thing.
+Dale Braun operator controls the level
If you ever get a chance could you make a video going over all the controls in the buncher and the processor?
+Adam White ua-cam.com/video/WO6360gb-ag/v-deo.html
+Adam White I have one of the processor too but can't remember the title
Does that machine self-level or is Derrick controlling that? Enjoy your videos and commentary from my office job every day.
+Ron Stoehr Derrick works the level however he needs it to be. As he's running it, he's constantly adjusting it.
Feller buncher one frustrating machine to operate till you get the hang of it.
I really like your videos man I would like to have one of you shirts man I live in Tennessee
+Barry Osborne email me cotontop3@yahoo.com
ok thanks
Small wood?? Where are yas cuttin??
you good Tim ?, didn't see a video for Saturday, I could understand you being busy , just checking in....
+WOODS I took yesterday off. I'll publish a new one a little later today.
cotontop3 understood sir
+WOODS new video just published
cotontop3 haha currently watching
I do love these kind of videos. I personally would like to work for either tigercat, caterpillar, john deere or timberpro with these machines.
Love to watch the machinery in operation. If I was on that thing I would be done tore some stuff up....LOL Keep the videos rolling your doing a awesome job....Thanks!
Smooth, pre-bunch , great operator of machine capability. Great films of work, maint.equipment and enjoymentduring relax time (Hah!)..
You gonna get one of these L830 feller buncher?💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰💰
+James Shanks that's is our machine
cotontop3
Excellent safest way to cut timber today. Only real pain is when you cut a dead or rotten tree and they break into 3 or more pieces and fall onto the cab. Every time that happens the operator looks up at the roof and thanks the designers and the men that built it.
Tigercat the only manufacturer that was founded by loggers that couldn't get what they wanted from other manufacturers so they design from the loggers perspective and build with input from the loggers that run them.
I got a question.. How'd y'all decide who was gonna run each piece of equipment?
Can I just have one of those to play with .... that would be great
just save clear cutting logging for land development use. But if you are the type of people that go back and replant new trees it is showing a good example for your kids like I learned from my grandfather on farming that is respect the land.
Have you guys ever thrown a track off on that 830? Or is it designed with extra guarding on it to prevent that
+Austin Flager never have
have you guys ever rolled that machine? a neighbor kid bought a similar machine, and his cousin that we do business with said he had rolled it. guessing inexperienced operator being the cause being he hadn't had it very long.
+Phillip Saunders we haven't turned turned it over
Do you have to pay a fine or anything if you cut pass your claim
Does Derick ever get fatigued from operating this for long days? It appears a guy has to be aware of many factors while operating this and mental fatigue could effect an operator?
+Cardiackid Jones yeah it can wear you out
seems like after they replant a clear-cut the pine trees are on steroids...what is the turn around time after its planted can the trees be cut again.
+Dog Man thin them at 12-16 years
how many hours can you get on the undercarriage
who has the best job, Kevin, Derrick or you?
The government needs to place regulations on clear cutting logging.
we need less government. government has f0973482ked the west
Howard Garney what do you see that needs government regulation?
How many RPM's the saw turning?
+InjectorRick either 12 or 1300 I can't remember exactly what we have it set on.
cotontop3
I remember reading the cutting wheel spins at 1200 rpm and the cutting teeth will take out anything but steel or stone.
what do u think about that tigercat lx870
+Shawn Ennis it has a massive tailswing
Do u think that better for the hills
