hey guys I'm glad to see you guys back on blogging and things are going good my name is Steve I'm a combat veteran planning on moving to Philippines Davao buying a condo hopefully everything with the coronavirus be done next year but anyway I just wanted to say I'm glad to see you guys. Healthy and rocking it rock and roll play it loud and proud
Hi Tim and Chrissy. Thanks for the Boracay videos. The update is appreciated. My first trip there was in 1985 and there where about three hotels back in those days. The Shang was not one of them unfortunately. I have a time share there and am planning a visit within the next 12 months. The transport issue you all faced to get to the main road has unfortunately been present for years. It’s about the hotels not stepping on the local tricycle operators. It’s understandable. That empty main road that took you up the hill from the Shang was, pre-Covid and pre Island shut down a picture of gridlock. That Part I am sure none of you will miss. Anyway, thanks for the on-site update!
I had to read that book in a Lit class I was taking a few years back..It is a touching story however, our instructor was obsessed with it for some weird reason..
Really enjoyed this latest series of videos. Wow the color of the water was incredible. Laughed too hard when Chrissy dumped you from the jet ski. Thanks for sharing.
Wow looks like a really fun trip Tim! My wife and I have been watching because it reminds us of our trip to Boracay 9 years ago😁 Stay safe and hope you can get surfing again soon.
alright, filipino fan here! currently watching this as I finish my Tim K marathon for tonight. great stuff to relieve my sickness. thanks for the content tim!
Tim K, thank you so much for sharing I Loved💖 it and enjoyed watching the Boracay series. Keep vlogging and because I will keep watching your vlogs. Stay safe guys!
Did,no just kidding good your trip got covered from videos and some left over. Also really like how you make sure she speaks Engilsh in your video's which she is apart of.I would hope we could do that for short time with free trip and and everything that was paid for.
Thanks for the nice videos, Tim. When the new era starts soon, I will also be happy to go on vacation to the Philippines, or stay there too. Greetings from Thuringia.
For the same amount of money spent at Shangri-la Boracay, I would stay at a more modest hotel but stay longer like 2 to 3 weeks in Boracay which is a better deal. Like at the Boracay Ocean Club Beach Resort or The Apartments at Boracay Sandcastles. Or at the 7 Stones Boracay by Bulabog Beach. Hennan Regency Resort and Spa on Station 2 beach isn't a bad deal neither if you book into one of their better suites. The idea of a longer stay is better relaxation without rushing all the time. And you're basically in the center of the best location like near D'Mall, the shops, bars and restaurants just a stroll away instead of waiting so long like 45 mins to an hour for your complimentary ride to the Obama Restaurant or to the D'Mall area for shopping or a walk to a bank ATM. The Tides Hotel, Le Soleil de Boracay or The District Boracay are also wonderful choices. Lots things to see and do in those areas so your time is not wasted on holidays waiting around for what ? A 15,000 plus pesos a night waiting for a horse buggy? A stretch Hummer Limo with Mag Wheels? You were waiting around most of the time when Shangri-la Boracay was practically empty with only a few guests and no one catering to help you with your ride? All these employees sitting around doing nothing but chit chat with each other telling jokes. I would complain for sure. With that kind of money you're spending, I would not go back there ever again. Lousy service considering the price of accomodations they charge is definitely not worth it. You'll get better service at The Astoria, I bet. The staff there will cater to you all the time with a smile and treat you like the king of Siam.
The Philippines has taken the famous Rahm Emanuel quote to heart. "Never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before".
At least your trip to Boracay had a happy ending..Remember Tim be happy. Enjoy life.Believe in yourself. When you reflect on your life experiences in the Philippines slways remember the happy ones. Life is good and count your blessings.
Tim, I sent you an email regarding your house project. I hope you check for it. Thanks for bringing the Philippines into my living room while we can't travel back. I can feel the humidity, the hot sun, the drenching rain and smell the diesel exhaust from vehicles as I watch the videos. Nice.
Homebase Belgium Definitely faster & cheaper using supercat. Plane is one hour faster but Tacloban to Ormoc is about 2-3 hours by bus. Plus main highway Tacloban to Southern Leyte is not passable due to collapsed bridges etc so people in Tacloban have to crossover the central mountains to Ormoc or Baybay or Bato on way to Sth Leyte. At Bato you travel either via Sogod or Maasin depending which town your going to on Metro air-con bus or a 14 seater bus.
That was the old mactan airport. Used to be the only Mactan Cebu International airport but now it's only used for domestic flights. The 2nd or newer, much bigger, more beautiful Mactan airport takes international flights.
3.people.4 star and looked like 1st class on the plane also! Yes please if you can do a break down on all charges ! Any hidden over charges for cano skin tax!
Why fly Cebu to Tacloban to then drive to So. Leyte ... think I would have opted for the ferry to get a little closer to home. Cheaper too I would think.
The water there was so gorgeous, I wanted to go there but my ex-wife was stuck up and did not want to go. Maybe some other time I can go. The Rules with Covid is crazy and varies from place to place. I also watch another ex pat channel up in Angles city. Get different views and he stress get out and explore the Philppines.. it is such a beautiful country. I am glad you are doing that with Crissy and all.. great memories. I cant wait to see videos of Crissy how she will react to So. Cal. :D
Tim, watching you leave this beautiful place, I also felt like my vacation was ending...I felt sad 😥 This says you did a great job with taking your viewers along with you. Great videos Tim! I really enjoyed!!
Your entire trip looks so beautiful, If I offered to pay all your expenses would you guys let me go back for a repeat with you? I want to do all the additional excursions too
The Shangri La in Mactan Cebu is very good too, a bit pricey (12,000p a night) but worth the experience, 5 star service! I want to go to Boracay but dont want all the hassle of transportation changes etc....🙄🙄😣
Seating right beside the propeller gives me the chills just watching
We've been watching vlogs since the beginning. We think this vacation series was the best yet! Loved it!

Are ferries not running between Cebu and Hilongos?
What's up Timmy Boy?! Watching 👀
Very nice trip! But you need to update us what was the total amount of that trip was😁
It looks beautiful 😍
Just a couple of questions. Can you tell us the meal costs? How much was the airfare? And also why doesn't your wife sit with you?
Nice trip series you’ve been doing lately. I don’t see me ever moving there but a trip to dive and relax for a couple weeks
Do you need a swab test result back and forth?
We are planning to go to boracay also.
you need a RT-PCR which is a 48 hour turn around for BCay... the return is up to your LGU
Great video
Looks like you had a much better time coming home than going there
Dale must be one happy camper to see you two 🥰🇨🇦
I learn a lot from Tim and Chrissy's videos. Cant wait to live full time in the Philippines. Thanks for posting good stuff.
Chrissy that's a good book author, I read one of his books and it really touched me. Enjoy
Hello, I have a question: Have you ever heard when it will be possible to travel to the Philippines again? I am grateful for any information, friends
You guys are great! I love your vlogs!!!
"We just have to save for another 3 years" ...ahaha that was deep 🤣🤣🤣
3:40 You say "oh my god" with a Filipino accent now 😂
Is Tuesdays with Morrie a Filipino thing? My gf told me to watch the movie (which I did).
Enjoyed the vlogs from Boracay!
The magic thing about home is that it feels good to leave, and it feels even better to come back
-An old Finnoy saying.
thanks for adding the "caption" back on....appreciate it.
Yes I agree !
What's faster to get to Southern Leyte? Flying Cebu-Tacloban or taking the Supercat Cebu-Ormoc?
I would fly
Homebase Belgium Definitely faster & cheaper using supercat. Plane is one hour faster but Tacloban to Ormoc is about 2-3 hours by bus. Plus main highway Tacloban to Southern Leyte is not passable due to collapsed bridges etc so people in Tacloban have to crossover the central mountains to Ormoc or Baybay or Bato on way to Sth Leyte. At Bato you travel either via Sogod or Maasin depending which town your going to on Metro air-con bus or a 14 seater bus.
Not much content here. Is it intentional that you are starting to transfer to a tourist theme channel?
Great filming! Great editing too. Fun to watch!!
Was that Mactan on Cebu or a smaller airport??
That was the old mactan airport. Used to be the only Mactan Cebu International airport but now it's only used for domestic flights. The 2nd or newer, much bigger, more beautiful Mactan airport takes international flights.
yes
So what was the full damage food room filghts etc
Around $3,500. May do a short vlog on that, not sure.
@@TimKyoutube Not that bad for three people.
3.people.4 star and looked like 1st class on the plane also! Yes please if you can do a break down on all charges ! Any hidden over charges for cano skin tax!
@@TimKyoutube Wow but due Covid Restrictions and Bullshit Test sounds right !!

I feel lucky that I went to Boracay in the '90s before the hotels were built.
Nice Welcome back Tim. be safe man.
10:22 can't tell if he's protecting himself from the coof or prepping for a paint ball competition
This series was so enjoyable. Think I am missing a piece of the puzzle. Thought you rode your motorcycle most of the way. What happened to it?
Switched it out in tacloban when Chrissy’s cousin brought them up in our car. He rode the bike back.
@@TimKyoutube Great. Thanks for the response.
Tim, watching you leave this beautiful place, I also felt like my vacation was ending...I felt sad 😥 This says you did a great job with taking your viewers along with you. Great videos Tim! I really enjoyed!!
