C. Sous Ecstasy with Eddie I think she was trying to lead that normal "white picket fence" dream. There's a part of Teresa who just wants to feel normal and Eddie was able to give her that. He didn't know she's a cartel leader. It was the same part of her that had dreams of running away with Guero.
Alyssa Hutchinson A great review, thank you. I really liked the similarity with running away with Guero. What do you think about her relationship with James?
C. Sous Ecstasy I think her relationship with James is more real than anything she had with Eddie or even Guero, especially where she is now. When Guero was revealed to be alive, he expected Teresa to be the same woman he left behind and she just wasn't. She's wasn't the same girl he saved on the streets of Caliacun or the same girl who spent her days shopping and at the spa with Brenda. She's grown and seen things that made those days changing money seem like a walk in the park. And since Guero died for real, she's been through so much more. And James has been there for the majority of it. He respects that she's a strong woman, but he's also always there when she needs him. He's literally at this point taken a bullet for her. They've been to hell and back and somehow always find their way back to each other and it's more than as Camila so eloquently put it "following his d!ck right back to her" it's loyalty and (though I don't think either had actually said the words) love. They care for each other deeply and they trust each other. He knows her for who she really is (even if that person is someone she never envisioned herself being) and he doesn't turn away in disbelief or disgust (looking at you Eddie) for it, or try to make her be someone she had grown passed (Guero here), he's there to support her and offer advice or to literally save her life even if it means bleeding out and dying himself.

C. Sous Ecstasy I don't know what to expect. I just know (or hope) he doesn't die. One of the writers said something along the lines of them wanting James in season 4 but Peter had other things he wanted to do creatively. I hope them wanting him in 4 means that they're not going to kill him off in 5. I think the fans would revolt. Ha. COVID sure has thrown everything for a loop. I keep seeing other actors back to filming and keep waiting to the announcement from any of the QotS cast/writers/etc. My fear is the international boarders being closed keeping filming down for longer.
As for fanfiction... anything by AniRay on archived of our own is brilliant. There's several good fanfic writers on archive of our own. I just can't think of all there names. Ha. But AniRay is the best.

I want James to come back for season 4 if it’s renewed ... question ... at the end Devon said James was a liability. Does that mean he intended to kill James? My hope is he tried and James Got away and he’ll turn up to rescue Teresa just as he’s done in the past and when she was least likely to have someone to help her out .... #teamteresaandjames
Kim Seckinger I don’t think Teresa is in danger. Devon had said something about Teresa working with Castella would keep her safe ... as long as James stays away.James is smart he will find his way back to Teresa without indangering her. I am more concern about that Javier guy of the Jiminez cartel! Can Teresa trust him? I hope Pote keeps a close eye over the dude because I don’t like him at all. 😖😖😖

Did you notice that James handled only one gun to Devon ??? In S3E1 in Malta after the chase by the sicarios Teresa had asked James for the other gun that she knew he always have on him.

They're broken up. The last time, when Kim joined James in the trailer by the lake, not a single word was exchanged, and James had a defeated look in the doorway. I always interpreted that as him understanding that her showing up was because she believed his warnings, but that she was otherwise done with the life having a boyfriend in cartel meant. I'm fairly certain that was the last they saw of each other. Unless there was a custody battle over all those fabulous dresses. ;)
