First time I see BFMV in Guitar world been a listener since the days of “Hand of Blood” glad your guys still playing Much Love From Buffalo New York!🙏🏽✊🏽🤘🏽🤟🏽
jayemm23 yeah,I remember Padge talk about this in an interview that Matt admit Padge have better skill than him ,but it’s Matt taught Padge how to downpick so fast in waking the demon,So I think Matt’s downpicking is better than Padge :)
Eric Valverde he is. So am I, I find myself down picking songs harder than any Metallica song I know. Except this song, I find it hard to downpick this main riff butt Matt probably wrote it so it came natural to him
That's nuts! in this riff it's so much more natural to alternate to get the open string sound, but he's such a monster downpicker he's like "Nahh fuck it"
As an American, I find it easier to sing Bullet with Matt's Half English-Half Welsh Accent than in my native one. If you sing it like an American, it sounds out of tune.
There’s an interview where Matt talks about why they strayed from the more dynamic guitar to experiment with electronic, ambient, and pop sounds. Something they’ve not really done much of before.
Yea it's not the bullet we all know and love. I mean that album didnt sound bad like I get that they wanted to incorporate more electronics into even though I remember once upon a time they said they would never put down the guitar for electronic sounds. But idk I just didn't feel the new album as much as the previous ones.
Where would you put a solo on this song that wouldn't break the forward momentum of this song? It's pretty tight structurally as-is and there's no nu-metal style instrumental breakdown in lieu of a solo, so to insert a 16 or 32 bar shredfest somewhere would've been unnecessary fat to an already long enough pop-structured song - in that when it's over, it's making me think, "I'm satisfied; that was a good song." I can handle really long not-pop oriented metal songs and love a good solo that can add something to a song, but it would feel like filler if there was one in this song. Now other songs on the record, sure. Could've had a few in there.
ghhdtui I guess there really isn’t a correct way if it works . I hold my pick weird but it works . I guess I did break my finger as well a few years back so maybe why !
I believe Matt turns his pick to its side in order to produce much less attack during tremolo picking. I’ve tried this out on Matt’s section of tremolo picking on Walking the Demon, and it sounds a bit better to my ears. On the other hand, I’ve much preferred picking as a pick was intended to be used during Padge’s section of harmony tremolo on the track.
Would love to see more BFMV in Guitar World! They are my favourite band after all! Oh Padge should re-release his signature guitar for sale now that I have a job and can afford one!!!
Why isn’t the whole gravity album like this song?? This is literally the only good song! These guys remind me of how Linkin Park turned away from their heavier stuff and produced nothing but lullabies. Please BFMV. More of this please 🤘🏼 #BFMV
Because it wouldn't have been honest. Venom was such an unreasonably safe playing record that I almost want to put Gravity above it. I already have it above Scream Aim Fire and Temper Temper.
They released Don't Need You two years before the rest of the album. By the time they got to the rest of the songs, they were headed in a different direction. They even remixed the guitar tones on Don't Need You to sound like the rest of the songs on the album.
Epic! BFMV used to be my favorite band, now is not, I used to listen to them everyday, every guitar solo used to be epic, now it’s just one more band in my playlist, I hope they take back to do heavy music like “the poison” or “venom”
@@mythmarv4771 1. Moose left, Jay left, I mean the new bassist is a beast, but man, Jay was the essence. 2. The solo's used to be really epic, I wrote this comment 3 years ago, the new album is amazing. 3. In alive shows Padge used to have many screaming parts, that made them look more dynamic, now Jamie does all that parts, don't know is weird for me is like watching; Jamie, Matt and company.
the album is more about guitars serving the songs! i think this move is great for the band trying to challenge themselves! im very sure the next album will have some great solos !
Its sad to not see any of the classic double guitar parts Its probably Matt/the label that doesn't allow padge to do his magic. Lets be honest what made bullet so good was Padge
At 2:25 Padge's face was like: "Oh I completely forgot I don't have any solo on this album"
sad
haha
Nailed it hahahhahahhahahahahaha
FITS SOOO PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!
XD
Padge is on the level of the greats, he's so underrated!
You have to admit, the gun inlays on padges ESP are pretty epic.
iamacharliest I’m digging the fly v myself lol
absolutely yesss
@@jessetate9701 Both of them? Haha
And I have 2 of padge’s signature guitars with the gun on lol
iXboxbanter where did you get them?
Matt's picking is pretty crazy. All the downpicking and then he turns the pick a different way when he does the tremolo stuff.
One of his biggest influences was metal gear ica and van halen. It makes sense
The AmericanFook ah yes, metal gear ica, truly one of the greatest bands of all time
they both look so relaxed, while I'm all over here headbanging non stop
Yeah haha
padge is sweating because he don't have a solo to play .
Padge! Talk to esp and have them rerelease your guitar with the gun inlay! I’m an adult with a job now! I can actually afford it!
imgur.com/a/j6g9nxu look what i haaaave ;)
It is available bro, you will have to find it online
Look up his signature guitar it’s out there
buy a used one off reverb
wor crash do you still have it and are selling it? Lol🤔
Bfmv was one of my favorite bands in high school. I've seen them twice.. still kicking ass.
Not a fan of the new album but tuck will always be one of my favorite rhythm players . His right hand is on point
First time I see BFMV in Guitar world been a listener since the days of “Hand of Blood” glad your guys still playing Much Love From Buffalo New York!🙏🏽✊🏽🤘🏽🤟🏽
Matt down picks the main riff and padge alternate picks it lol

He's a Hetfield Head

@@jayemm2323 yeah, im still working my downpicking, but this is an alternate situation, if you dont do it, you wont get the "bleh" of the string
That's nuts! in this riff it's so much more natural to alternate to get the open string sound, but he's such a monster downpicker he's like "Nahh fuck it"
It's funny how Matt's accent disappears when he sings
Not really, compare his vocals with the vocals of an american singer, the accent is completly different
As an American, I find it easier to sing Bullet with Matt's Half English-Half Welsh Accent than in my native one. If you sing it like an American, it sounds out of tune.
@@eumesmo71he sounds like he's a Canadian when he sings
Sometimes it disappears sometimes it doesn't
must be so relaxing for Matt to only play guitar XD

Josue Calle is this a Slayer tab?
Works though
There’s an interview where Matt talks about why they strayed from the more dynamic guitar to experiment with electronic, ambient, and pop sounds. Something they’ve not really done much of before.
So... they are still earning more money then you 😂😂😂😂
So... they are still earning more money then you 😂😂😂😂
I love that song. Just wish Padge would have had a spot for a guitar solo somewhere In there.
The lack of solos is the only disappointment on that album to me
Yea it's not the bullet we all know and love. I guess they didn't want to, but the record label pressured them into it.
I don't like the new album but this song is amazing, can't stop listening to it.
Give the rest some time, I feel like Under Again or Coma at the very least will resonate.
man I love this song
I've been a fan of Bullet for over 8 years and this has been my favorite BFMV song to date
PERFECT SYNCHRONIZATION MIN 2:30
Why was the camera not on Page's fretboard when he was doing the most dynamic lick of the whole song?
people is stupid
Diego Ruiz people = shit
I fucking know right, during the whole build up I was waiting and anticipating so much but just to see Matt’s chugging xD
I feel like BFMV (mostly Matt Tuck) are just trying to disappoint us... and succeeding.
'Cause Matt's ego's bigger than his guitar skills
I love this song XD. I'm glad I learned it! Thanks guys!
Padge's right hand is mesmerisingly fun to watch with those verse chops!
loveee looking at padge's right hand! amazing technique
First time i see BFMV on GuitarWorld....
Is it just me or does Matt just looks like Lars Ulrich in this vid....
Hes better on guitars than on drums, good choice Lars!!!
Milan WinklerDrums He sure does. He also looks stoned off his head.
I want to salute when i listen to this song..... so Awesome ...... best compliments from SRI LANKA...!
Pay attention to Matt's picking hand during Triplets and Trem picking... It's freaking weird!

Bullet for My Horizon at the beginning 😁😁 love BFMV 💜💜

I love this! 😎🤟❤️
Managed to find emg’s for this then! Check out anderton’s sounds like to get the sound with passive pickups
Ben Cowling or just get EMGs.
i lo0ve when bfmv fills me up with hot riffs
How Matt enjoy "hahaha i lov play with no sing"!
I love this song so much. The album "Gravity" wasn't the best, but ig their artistic direction changed. Anyway, these guys are awesome
Gravity is a better album than temper temper
@@FigureInMind I'd rather nosh off my grandad while my nan watches than listen to either of those 2 albums
@@brettholland384 lmfao
Looks like Padge is struggeling to hear his guitar 🤔
Great duo, wish they’d add a bit more meat/technique to their riffs these days! The Poison has some of the best riffs of the 21st century!
Djeneric.
im liking this new wave of metalcore with ambient, electronic and "pop" stuff...and the "bleh EQ"

The padge's solo is so... wait a second xd
I would have had them play waking the demon maybe haha
Trexx what would be the point to do a promo video for a song from a decade ago?
Ur wish has been granted! Check out the latest video from the same channel
NorthTimo idk why don’t you ask them because they did it
Well for the sake of promotion it is more worth it to showcase first the new stuff and if there is time then maybe an old classic. Very hindsighted.
if you havent seen it, they just released a playthrough of waking the demon.
That Gibson Flying V is fucking sexy!
the album is more about guitars serving the songs! i think this move is great for the band trying to challenge themselves! im very sure the next album will have some great solos !
The irony of that last sentence
Dude they never do guitar playthroughs! Awesome!! Very very rarely, rather..
Padge 😍 le amo
GREAT!!
great riffs dudes!
I want that inlay with the vines and guns sooooo bad
2:47 Wtf is that picking technique?
The way Padge picks? That’s called alternate picking
@@twistedsky_97 nah it zooms on Matt. Look at the way he holds the pick
Matt use down pick only and when he switches to alternative, that's the most comfy way for him!
Neil Peart didnt die, he joined Bullet!
I wonder how weird it is for Matt to play and not sing his own song for once
Bring me for my horizon valentine
That’s awesome. Should get the Slipknot guys to do a couple songs
what they already old...my young melody
There was the video of playing through Waking the demon, but I can’t find it, help!
Bring me the Valentine
When i see the title i thinked Bfmv really don't need me, i was like «yea i think they don't need someone» i'm dumb
Somewhat djenty..
yeah, with that "blehb b blehb b blehbx
You're fucking kidding me right? Please tell me that was bait
Almost. But not quite
Padget look like Daryl from "the walking dead" :'D
The direction this band took upsets me. This song is so close to their better stuff they released.
Love you BFMV ❤
THIS IS SEMPITERNAL!
WILL WE EVER SEE THE END¡?
Over and over again and again!
Why does Matt's v have a pick guard and pickup rings? That's a first for me.
B.F.M.V ouço desde 2007 feras
FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fucking love it!!!
Padge just there to perform, Matt Tuck create all bass and guitar part Lol
Trivium - beyond oblivion. Heart from your hate...
These exist still
Don't need shadow moses
I miss the old bullet
That song sounds like "Assistant to the Regional Manager" by The Devil Wears Prada band.
I got a lot of Shadow Mosses vibes in this
Can you do a bittersweet memory’s play through
Omg, why does Michael look so much like Daryl Dickson/Norman Reedus from “The Walking Dead”
I like this mix better, louder guitars \m/
They look so depressed playing this. When they played waking the demon you could tell they were at home.
Where did the walkthrough for Waking the demon?
Can't get rid of a Shadow Moses feeling. Awesome song though
FIRST PART SHADOW MOSES
I will see Crawling on Playthrough
Br00tAlz!
Holy shit 🤤..lol that was awsome
2:25 "solo time- wait fuck I don't have"
Man WTF? The songs best lick by Padge is ignored by the cam.
02:48 a 02:51 wtf
Bro why Matt look like King Alfred from The Last Kingdom lol
Good tone from Guitar World?!?!?!?!?!
Anyone. Notice from the start sounds just like “spirit in black “. From Slayer .
Am I the only one that thinks Padge looks kinda like Obi Wan Kenobi from The Phantom Menace? Just a little
Come on Daryl!
Did a 5 year old come up with the guitar work on this album?
👌👌👌👍👍....
I need to know where Matt got those camo jeans
