People always say nothing ever happens, but doesn’t history show that major events happen after multiple “nothing ever happens” events?
"Ignorance is bliss"
I think history shows that major events can happen at any time
Ll
@@Kamado4949 “Where ignorance is bliss, 'tis folly to be wise.” is the full quote.
Yeah, question is - when?
Iran had informed Turkey, which in turn informed the US so the attack could be stopped.
Yes, this is the world we're living now. Full of empty words and gestures...oh and also missiles
They were scared that's why they keep trying to de escalate. Far from what they claim as an ultimate victory against israel.
i just dont understand this view. iran gave israel several days warning. the amazing thing is that israel was still unable to totally repel irans attacks with not only its iron dome and total air superiority in the region, but also military help from USA/UK/FR/JO/SA. 300 suicide drones paralyzed all that support, and irans outdated missiles still made it deep into israel and hit several military bases. now iran knows how easily the iron dome could be overwhelmed. what happens now when israel retaliates?
@@joseph8762 Are you insane? On the one hand, Iran can launch as many missiles as it wants and it knows that barely any, if any at all, will hit anything. Israel, on the other hand, can launch a handful of missiles and probably hit most of them. Do you REALLY think this is any kind of "victory" at all for Iran?
And blinken asked Iran to do it reasonably through Turkey.
@@VidimusWolf are you out of your mind? it took 2 billion dollar worth of resources to destroy 37k dollar worth drones and missilies
how long do you think Israel can keep up? lmao
not to mention even after 6 months of bombardment they still don't have control over gaza
The Iranians warned EVERYONE when they launched the attack. The number of drones and missiles included. So it was for theatre which is why it looked like it was “underwhelming” and why it isn’t an actual escalation. It was a show of force for their own people.
Unfortunately, Netanyahu also wants a show of force for his people & for the US to fight his war for him.
Correction, Iran warned they would attack some time in the near future without giving a specific hour. They also never said how many munitions they'll use
You do realize they sent over six tons of explosives via rockets, missiles and drones, if not for the iron dome, the IDF Jordan and Saudi Arabia thousand even tens of thousands would have died, they declared war with that attack any other country would have retaliated immediately, I don't think you truly understand the magnitude of Irans attack
@@100500danielcorrection of correction, it took 8 hours until the rockets arrived to Israel, 8 hours time and the best air interceptor “iron dome” is definitely not with the internation to start a war
@@yasserkhalil7149 the iron dome didn't engage any Iranian drones because none of them reached Israel. Sure, Iranian munitions take time to arrive, they never said how many they're going to shoot, they just did.
Don't forget that Iran prewarned the USA of the strike by letting them 72 hours prior to the attack
Prewarning is only a good thing if the people you're warning dont have the ability to receive the warning and dont have the ability to do anything about the warning.
@@Imbalanxd did you type that with your face?
@@NiskaMagnusson😂
@@Imbalanxd Not if your objective is to symbolically retaliate without escalating the situation.
But it was American intelligence that determined the exact hour of the attack anyway
As long as netanyahu doesn't get too trigger happy nothing will happen. Iran literally told us before hand that they sent a bunch of rockets and shit, even told us an estimated hour they will arrive. It wasn't even supposed to do that much damage. It was just to say that "we will respond to everything you'll do, so don't do anything more"
In addition they concluded the matter before the missiles arrive, meaning they didn't care about hitting any targets just wanted to conclude the direct conflict
"As long as netanyahu doesn't get too trigger happy" thats a big if coming from that jew
@@Lucas-cm8zq "that Jew" that's a big anti Semitic sentiment coming from you
Israel have to retaliate. People are forgetting that Israel have some of the most powerful missiles in the world just as Israel's air defense systems are some of the best in the world. Israel reported a 99% success rate in the destruction of the Iranian strike.
But it would have been a hugely different outcome altogether if it was Israel's strike against Iran with the same exact numbers.
@@nahaaniimataalIMO, it was only 99% because of the U.S., U.K., and Jordanian involvement. Israel without any help would have been hurt a lot more.
Cost of drone attack: 6 mill at 20k a pop. Cost of defence: 1.3 Bill
The real winners are the military industrial complex
It believe be cost less than 100 million which isn't even 1/10 of Iran budget
Yes? R u just stating this, or do u mean something by it?
@@kizermasonI think the point is: Israel (and probably its allies) would be economically devastated by a war with Iran.
Pretty silly argument
There are so many ways to read this situation. For example, the Iron Dome worked but it has limitations. According to another source, the cost incurred for that night reached USD 1.3 billion. Besides, by having a 72-hour notice ahead, it seems clear that Iran does not want to escalate further and only intended for their drones and weapons to be shot down. Despite their effort, like I said earlier, Iron Dome did not work 100%.
Then it begs the question, can the US afford to give free money to Israel that burns to the billion per night?
We can already afford giving 100 billion to Ukraine so why not
what about your stupidly high debt?@@DrLifeGamer

That not matter what israel will do, iran will keep be terror state and the palestinians will keep their terrorist mindset?

This may be a pointless question/statement.
But for the video art/photo, why do you have isreal as the full state when West Bank, etc, are not Isreal. Does that not further perpetuate the idea of "Palestine not existing", so on and so forth?
I only point this out because it's not the first time your channel has done this. And I've seen many others clearly outline Palestine and Isreal. If you were to make a video talking about Palestine, would you also highlight the whole state? Or would you just outline West Bank and Gaza. Don't have double standards.
While I agree with your sentiment, the map in the thumbnail is quite zoomed out. That level of detail may adversely affect the identifiability of the outlines. I can at least say that I did not notice this, so I don't think it has much of an effect.
@DryBones111 I agree with you in that regard! It being zoomed out so much does make it a bit more difficult. But I think for West Bank, they could at least take out a rectangle in its general vacinity. I'm not saying it needs to be in such fine detail. I wouldn't say the attack has been underwhelming for Iran when it achieved everything they wanted it to.
Shouldnt the title of the video be "why is israel pulling the middle east into a regional war?" Seems a bit hawkish to leave out the context of why Iran feels the need to retaliate
I mean, unlike a lot of major news sources, they explained the full context in the video- so I’d argue the title didn’t truly matter here. Honestly, I hate what Israel is doing right now- but I also hate Iran and what they’ve done. Iran supplies their proxy terrorist groups that in turn, kill many innocents. The IDF slaughters civilians and is overall just quite belligerent for a “defense” force. Both have played a role in sparking regional war. That’s also not to mention that the United States hasn’t drawn enough red lines (almost none) for Israel, which has made their extremist government more willing to do crazy shit to stir the pot. It’s a mess all around is my point.
You mean because Israel is defending itself from Iran’s aggression? You know, the proxy war it has been fighting with Israel. The one it initiated.

They went through their air space, why wouldn't they?
It wasn't really an escalation, Israel attacked a consulate which was an attack on Iran's soil (technically). I was speaking to a friend of mine in the IDF, and as far as she's concerned, Iran took the least risky option. Iran has Hypersonic missiles that could pierce the iron dome and actually hit something. But they didn't, not because the missiles don't work, we know they do. But likely because Iran didn't see any long term reward in hitting Israel in any real way.
All of the targets the missiles were aimed at were military installations, surprisingly, none of them were civillian buildings, surprising given Iran's proclivity of not really giving a shit about Civilians right to keep living. They knew that if they sent drones and ballistics, most of them would be shot down and the literal handful that would land, would hit the installations they wanted especially to send a message to the west.
I don't personally think this is going to amount to much because as much as Israel was the symbolic target for the strikes, the message wasn't really for them. It was to give pause to the United States about whether it was really worth setting soldiers in Iran on behalf of Israel. To which, we now know the answer is, No, the answer Iran was likely hoping for.
What Israel does next is anyone's guess. But I have a hunch that this might actually be the off ramp that Netanyahu might be able to use to pull military resources out of Gaza and even Raffah and that seems to be the feeling on the ground by some active duty IDF as well.
Iran has every right to defend itself
While I'm far from the biggest fan of the iranian government, I do respect their measured and appropriate response. I can't say any other country would be so measured in their response.
Iran is not escalating, what type of 2 ways is it to read “Iran wants War” or “Iran doesn’t want war and is escalating”. I appreciate the video diving into further details and context. But still phrasing like this is misleading…when it’s as simple as a defensive retaliation warning.
So sending 300+ missiles to an entire country after a single bombing in one military building in Syria is "defensive"? Buy this logic Israel can send 9000 missiles back. (It wouldn't )
The world is very strange today. Until recently, only terrorists attacked embassies and consulates.
Now Israel does it and we accept this as the new normal, it's really strange times we live in...
I hope all of this doesn't go any further..
The world is very strange. Until recently, Iran has been waging a war against Israel. A shadow war that has claimed thousands of lives. A shadow war through state-sponsored terrorism. A shadow war where those terrorists were being funneled through the facility Israel bombed. Israel was defending itself.
