Waitress, Waitress (Decca version) ~ Little Jimmy Dickens (1969)

It seems to be an automatic that when an artist switches labels,, he or she is required to do an album of remakes of their old songs. #LittleJimmyDickens was no exception. After switching to #DeccaRecords from #ColumbiaRecords, it didn't take long before Decca issued this album consisting of a huge of remakes of his Columbia sides. Oftentimes these efforts are subpar and lackluster, but this gives Jimmy a fresh take on these songs and makes you wish his earlier recordings could have been recorded in stereo and the same quality as the Decca versions. This #BoudleauxBryant tune is track 5 from the album.
