I'm thinking about either getting this machine or the newer Garrett AT Pro Gold. I'm an ignoramus and so to my way of thinking the Garrett might be a better choice because its technology "might" be newer and thus better. The Garrett also is wonderful in that it's actually waterproof. However, in the research I've done, a great many people say they're VERY pleased with this White model. I live in Nevada and have no job and NEED to find some gold. Both machines cost about the same. Any thoughts??

Jimmy is cool, but the engineer at the beginning is great! I am so sick of marketing people trying to explain technical things, pretending like they actually understand what they are talking about. I enjoy listening to the actual guy who builds these machines, the REAL expert, not some smarmy marketing person with make-up and an over enthusiastic annoying sales pitch.

Now mine is a 1997 whites 4B gold master love love love my detector how old is it and works perfectly in 2024. 27 years old so if that dont tell you something about putting the highest of premo parts and technology into there detectors and put a usa flag made in American tells you everything about whites pride in parts and machines building them #1 quality
