Thanks to Jim and Steph for taking us on your garden adventures! I would never have found this garden if not for you. It’s on my list of places to go this fall. 😊
I’m so happy for you, Steph, that you could return to a”happy place “! I’ve been to LaDew & really enjoyed it! Hopefully you can visit Chanticleer near Philly… it’s my most favorite garden! It’s so worth the trip…100%!!
I love Ladew Gardens! My daughter and I were just there for the Tuesday Garden walk and dinner in the Cafe. The entire night was amazing! Can’t wait to visit again!
What a spectacular place! The childhood memories of what gave us inspiration as adults is so cool. Botanist Joey Santoro posted from the Little Rocky River outside Cleveland Ohio recently. I remember hunting crayfish in that river during picnics as a kid. Running water soothes my soul. I've had to settle for a small pump in a stock tank in my current space, always want moving water in my garden. I'm thrilled that more meadows and less lawn is taking hold. Love seeing Steph on camera 💕
Absolutely beautiful! I am lucky to live about 10 minutes from here and ironically just put out a video on Ladew as well😊. It is one of my most favorite places to escape to! You guys put together a fantastic video as always! Thank you!
Wow! Well done Stephanie! We loved hearing about your history! We absolutely love these garden “tour” videos… we are from Vancouver, BC Canada so we probably won’t get to visit these gardens any other way. Thanks so much for the wonderful videos!! 😎🇨🇦
I love Ladew Gardens! I need to revisit again as its close by. You know what I see alot in the woods near me? Japanese stilt grass. It looks like a haze of clouds, very lovely, but invasive.
Great to see you guys walking around Ladew. Got to go there last summer as a part of our family road trip. I was really amazed to find out that Harvey Ladew did all the landscape designing himself. He definitely had a great eye.
Thanks so much for walking us through the gardening and letting us experience it! Down here in Texas I don’t know if I would have ever known about this had I not run across your videos! Keep up the awesome content.
Good morning Jim and Stephanie. I love the Purple Plum garden. 💜 Give me a bench and I could sit in there for hours watching my HortTube videos. 😊 What a SPECTACULAR garden!! The natural arches through the trees... and windows.. the sculptures, the sound of water and fountains.. topiaries, color themed gardens... etc.. What a wonderful childhood Stephanie, great memories. Thank you for sharing this with us. Love it 😍

Thank you again for your videos. I'm afraid that the lantern fly is much farther south than MD - it's in central VA, on latitude with Richmond, since last spring. It's not far away from you.
Great to see Stephanie on camera! And in case no one has said it yet, you do incredible camera work! Another inspiring tour, thanks Jim and Stephanie!
Thank you so much!
@@stephanycoakley7352 thank YOU!
The hosta reminds me of my Guacamole! It smells so wonderful!!

Cool place. Nice sign-off too👍
Don't forget to send Erin (The Impatient Gardener) a postcard from all of your travels. I think it would tickle her to get one from y'all!
Love it I always enjoy your trips to big gardens and how different they are😊
Beautiful gardens on what looked like a splendid day weather-wise. Great story about Steph with her grandmother too. 😊

Visited Ladew years ago. Your video brought back happy memories. ❤
Visited there many years ago when we lived in Annapolis. It’s beautiful. Very happy to see the meadow.
Fascinating garden. Loved the fox hunting topiary the best. All the others are very creative.

One of my favorite local gardens. Fascinating history of Mr. Ladew from a book I bought at the gift shop.
The dogs running after the fox is so cool!

Layered hedges are stunning:) I admire the ability to create garden rooms while preserving some long views. Great tour! Thank you both!

My dwarf Asian pear dropped it leaves in the 7B Oklahoma heat. Leaves are growing back now, and it has blossom buds. Should I prune the buds off?
