Good video. That fender access panel is good if you have small girl hands. If you have man hands like most people this video is very helpful. I was dreading changing this side as the passenger side gave me fits, too. For passenger side unclip the cpu and you can get at the headlight housing. Those fender panels didn't work on that side either.
I got me HD blue lights and only had to change the passenger side. I get barely any light out of it. Anyone knows if lights are some how connected and if I put both the same will light up better? At this point the blue light is barely visible even if you look straight in to it from outside.
Good video, but, my 2015 Overland has HID’s , not LED’s. However, I went in the same way he did in this video. The HID’s are SO much harder to remove than LED’s.
Pass side you will have to unclip the computer from its bracket and move a side for some room Sometimes you also might have to remove the two bolts holding the coolant res tank and move a side.
Mine went out and I was getting an oil change so I asked if they could replace it they said $100 so I said no thank you my husband will do it today and the lightbulbs $16

Other side you remove two 10 mm bolts holding coolant reservoir tank, move tank to the side, push plastic clip holding engine control module to unlock and slide module up. Now you should have enough space to access the bulb.
Why Jeep do you make this so hard? Great video saved me hours

I just changed the low beam headlight bulb via the fender well access panel and it was much easier than this.
That will only work with older once 2011-2012 but on 2015 there is a bracket in the way and you can’t fit your hand.
Went through the fender well , doable but a bit of a pain
@@uspsdaveableI heard you got to have small hands to get into that hole
@@duke6024
Small is better for a tight hole. To big and you will get close
Great video! Glad I watched it. Made it so much easier. My only issue was getting the wrong light from Auto Zone. :(
Lol. Thank you for watching and I do appreciate your comment

Was that high beam or low beam?
Is it the same process to replace just the daytime running light?

There’s a access cap behind the wheel well
You can’t access the head light bulb from there. It’s only for the signal light bulb.
Only if you have hands the size of a kid lol
@@Nightowl82 You mean only if you dont have hands of an average oversized American.
I’m doing this now and I’m so frustrated, Easy DIY , but my hands are to big. Really don’t want to pay someone for this. March 9th
Thanks alot...good instructions...
Aaaaaand how about the passenger side??

Watched this to see if paying someone to do it was worth it/necessary. I’m definitely not doing this myself lol.
Lol. Fair enough
The shop is charging $131. I will pay myself 115/hr instead...
This is the hardest way to change your bulb find a new video.
On my life
No you need a small hand to go into the hole inside the fender otherwise you got to take all the bumper stuff off That's the easiest for this side
@@duke6024 I changed my headlights on my 2015 Grand Cherokee and used zero tools. Completely unnecessary to take that much of the vehicle apart.

Yeahhh imma just take it to the mechanic but thank you

No it wouldn’t work. Some years have a metal bracket in the way and can’t be accessed from the fender area.

You don't show us how to get to the right side bulb
