You can not destroy karma, but you can diminish its impact by doing a lot of good and not doing evil in the present

Why you know you can't destroy negative karma? You indeed can.
Being aware of mistake, cleansing yourself from guilt and selftorture, being able to turly learn lessons from mistakes, and as Swami says, raising your vibration by Bhakti yoga
Past karmas can’t be destroyed but it can be mitigated by God’s grace.
@@imanmalik5631 it can absolutely be erased. Karma is not a punishment it is a lesson you need to learn. If you learn that lesson and you balanced the wrong you did with heartfelt repetance and countractive actions, the karma can be rebalanced by it.
Otherwise it would be nearly impossible to achieve salvation.
Every ans you killed because you were unaware of it, every little thing would be brought back to you and that cycle could absolutely never end.
God's grace and good will, vibrating in love, true forgiveness, bhakti yoga, all this can erase karma.
That doesnt mean you erase ALL karma. There are still past life lessons you may need to learn.
But if you make a mistake and you learn from it, and learn the lesson sometimes you are gettimg the karma of the mistake instantly because you do suffer to see what you did, so the karma gets back to you and goes immediatly if you forgive yourself and vibrate in love.
It doesnt necessarily stay there till next life.
We have so much karma from pasts life that it would be impossible to erase it all at once.
But if you have consciousness and awarness you can at least stop creating heavy karma, that is for sure.
So you can erase at least the one from your current life. That is what I meant.
I do lots of good, and I don't do harm to others...still life kicks my butt, I must've been an absolute terror in a past life or 10...😢

Swamiji beautifully says that we may never be able to destroy all the sanchit karmas even if we did penances across multiple lifetimes because the heart is still impure due to ignorance (agyan). The only way to destroy past sins is to engage in Bhakti or devotion which has the potential to cleanse the heart by removing ignorance. Wow, thank you, Swamiji.

@@pasdeville bhakti is faith/devotion/love/worship. As aeuropean I'm guessing you are familiar with Christianity, so going to church on Sundays and singing hymn, that would be bhakti. So being involved in these acts whether they are in line with a known religeon, or whatever you believe in, with sincerity, that is bhakti.
Personally, I'm not into bhakti at all but I feel a connection with a peace that comes upon me when I chant mantras. I got into them by accident really. I liked repetition and the hypnotic effect sound can have on me. So I started listening. Then I tried to chant along to them. That really made me control my breath and that has a calming and grounding effect on me. So there was never any idea of "god". In order to intensify their action I have, over years, found elements of bhakti help me, such as the believing (in the meaning of mantra and their sound vibration whole heartedly) and focusing solely upon it for a period of time with an element of faith (3 mins or whatever i can manage).
I'm an agnostic if I were to label myself. So rituals feel hollow to me. They are very nice, but I don't connect with them. Talk to a theist and they'll have a different perspective I'm sure. What I do love about Hinduism/sanatan dharm is that you can be of it (the "religion") and be atheist or agnostic, or whatever.

To my best understanding, the best way to remove negative karmas is to do good and positive deeds, fulfill duties with sincerity and act with compassion, affection and forgiveness.

Bhakti means the practice of compassion and love. Sit for a moment close your eyes smile and hold your heart. Lay back and feel in the state of Absolute love. Just fall back and relax into it.

Bhakti means devotion to the supreme diety. Either Krishna or Rama or Shiva etc. Devotion can be done by singing praises of the lord or by chanting the holy names of lord. Devotion is greater than love. It is total surrender of the self at the holy feet of the lord. Without the sweetness of emotions , it is impossible to practice bhakti. Bhakti arises from reverence or faith ( Shraddha) towards your diety.

Wonderful. Bhakti is not so easy as it may seem to be. Again god's blessings is required to do bhakti as well. If u just take one step towards it, god helps you take 100 steps.

@@nav423 Correct. But, 100% of all beings were happy in Satya Yuga. But this is Kali Yuga. The Yuga of Lust, Greed, Ego, Anger, Attachment, Jealousy, Desires, etc. We can see how humans created their own hell. 8 Billion humans are not necessary for God. God is happy with 1 million humans on the planet. Look at nature, look at the animals, birds, etc. All are suffering due to overcrowding of humans on this planet. So, we can clearly say that human population is directly related to the minimum karma per individual from the moment of birth. Being a sanyasi or yogi or a monk even from birth to death will certainly destroy karma of the individual soul completely. But unfortunately the karma of Kali Yuga humans and lifeforms will never vanish. Yoga, meditation, proper spiritual ways of life were designed specifically to be compatible with simulated universe theory. They wanted to evolve every next generation better than themselves. But unfortunately, the Lust and Greed of modern man forgot higher purpose as they all wanted to experience worldly pleasures. These worldly pleasures are directly the cause of all pain and suffering in all modern humans of today. All pleasures cause pain. There is no exception. This is why practice of brahmacharya was highly recommended so that the practitioner exercises immaculate self-control over his or her temptations and thus kill the senses so that they operate at optimum levels and only use them for the highest purpose of reaching or attaining a God. If spiritual education is taught in schools parallel to modern material education, then we can create a Satya Yuga rather than a material golden age where robots and AI become Gods and the future humans become their slaves.

The quote from Srimad bhagavatham at 3:57:
SB:6:1:15 केचित्केवलया भक्त्या वासुदेवपरायणा: । अघं धुन्वन्ति कार्त्स्न्येन नीहारमिव भास्कर: ॥ १५ ॥
context: Parikshita asking some tough questions to Sage Sukha muni and Suka muni is happy that Parikhsit is really going to depths. "prayaschit" is a new karma to nullify an earlier karma. Could be like that of an elephant bath (it gets soiled quickly by playing in sand), so really it does not remove the seed of the bad karma vasana, as it can sprout again. So there has to be a better way to get rid of past karmas. It is Bhakti marga recommended in Srimad Bhagavatham (Sharangati concept or Gita 9-23 Shloka). Applicable to rarest of rare people, but still we all can try. Rest of us need to go through the prarabdha without fail. If prarabdha karma can be eliminated by bhakti alone, then karma siddhanta is meaningless. Then the foundation of Sanatana Dharma falls apart. ...think about it. But bhakti is crucial along with Bhagavan's krupa, with Jnana imparted by a great Guru, to get us out of this cycle of birth and death (moksha).
Bhakti with nishkaam Bhav will make us reach the eternal. Thank you Swamiji🙏

How humble is ur representation.
If we wish to get rid of the whole problem, we need to do bhakti. Bhakti will destroy your karmas of past lives, it will clean your heart, and it will remove the ignorance, which is the reason for the unclean heart. That is the way to do it and change your destiny.

Words are Vachika karmas
Actions are Kaayika karmas .
If thought process arises of less awareness or less consciousness it's called subliminal
If thought process arises of more awareness i.e by Individual conscious choice it's called Superliminal .
"Buddhi Karmanusaarini" which means based on past accumulated information in our mind perceived via our sense organs in the past ,
Knowingly or Unknowingly thoughts arise in our mind in the present .
Only in Meditation or complete Heartful surrender to Parmatma
we can go beyond the body and beyond the Mind .

Swamiji is talking about real bhakti to God. Doing puja doesn't equate to doing bhakti. An aspiring devotee or a sadhak understands the principles of doing bhakti. He/she will try to see God in everyone and everything in this world as this is a fact. God as Paramatma is sitting in our soul and notes down each of actions/thoughts as our karmas. If someone doesn't engage in true bhakti, his/her actions are noted down by God per the law of karma. Firstly, an aspiring devotee will try to never hurt anyone in the first place. Secondly, if we are practicing true bhakti and we have progressed sufficiently, then we won't be impacted by these external (negative) situations. We have to understand these points by understanding the philosophy of bhakti. In order to follow the path of Bhakti yog, we have to first acquire the knowledge (philosophy from the Vedic scriptures) .

Among the yogas Bhakti is supreme. Among spiritual practices Japa is supreme. If you want purity repeat the name of the Lord. Swami Sivananda said “In this iron-age (Kali Yuga) Japa alone can give eternal bliss, peace, and immortality”
But to be honest, I strongly feel that yoga + meditation, following Ashtannga yoga of Patanjali would be best in Kali Yuga. Human bodies are devolving coz they are using material technology that are not normal to natural evolution. This is why humans of today are devolving as fast as new technology is being developed. Yoga and meditation are the best spiritual tools that can not only reduce or eliminate karma, but make karma negative from the soul. This means that you will become a God or Goddess and have magical powers and also pass on these to future generations genetically. But for that practising Ashtanga yoga is absolutely necessary.
@@aliengod2039 yes this is also true. What you are describing sounds to me like Raja Yoga and that is a great path. The reason why people say bhakti and japa is supreme for this age is because we are so busy and so involved in the world lots of people don’t have time or discipline to do the yoga that you are describing. I believe that it is best just to listen to your inner voice or your guru and whatever methods work for you, you should do that. But bhakti is special because it happens very naturally it doesn’t require much force or discipline. Bhakti is the easiest yoga. Attachments and desires fall away when one attains Bhakti. Here I will tell you what Swami Vivekanada and Narada has said about Bhakti. “Bhakti-yoga is a real, genuine search after the Lord a search beginning, continuing, and ending in Love. One single moment of the madness of extreme love of God brings us eternal freedom. ‘Bhakti is greater than karma, greater than jnana, and greater than any yoga’ because these have in view the attainment of an object, while Bhakti is it’s own fruition, it’s own means, and it’s own end.”
