Hi! It’s always nice to see someone ‘new’ on UA-cam who enjoys the Beatles enough to post a video of their collection! I first got into the Beatles a LONG time ago, 1980, when John was sadly killed, and I was 15. I’d certainly recommend some McCartney albums: Band on the Run, Ram, and Flowers In The Dirt for starters, or the 4-CD career overview ‘Pure McCartney’ Keep listening!!
I highly recommend The Beatles in Mono boxset for a high quality and period accurate replicas of the LPs. Everything from 'Please Please Me' to the White Album, and a new 'Mono Masters' singles compilation with true mono versions of the exclusive Yellow Submarine tracks. I have that along with the 2009 remasters of the White Album in stereo, 'Abbey Road', and 'Let It Be' for studio albums. I also have the 1994 CDs of Red and Blue, and the 2000 CD of '1'. (All unique masterings distinct from the '87 and '09 series).
The Beatles' Story was released for the first time in CD in 2014 when Apple released 'The U.S. Albums' box set. All of those CDs were available for individual purchase except The Beatles' Story. Meaning you either gotta get the box, or find someone selling it individually. Something to know so you don't get a fake: it was only released on CD (in 2014) in stereo only.
The 2017-2020 Anniversary albums aren't remastered but, completely remixed from the ground up by Giles Martin. Alot of fans are very snobish about the sound as it's quite different in spots. We are suppose to get a Rubber Soul/Revolver set in a couple of years. It will have the usual outtakes and Demos. Also the two said albums remixed using the multi tracks and the new AI tech to separate the basic tracks.
I can understand & agree with you not being into the Capitol box sets of the American albums since they are faithful reproductions of the actual 1960s mixes which were full of fake stereo and heavy reverb. But I have to disagree on you disliking the UK mono albums mainly because it's the actual mixes that the Beatles were involved with. Although I will say that not all of the mono mixes sound great, but the highlights are Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Sgt Pepper (plus Magical Mystery). Those three albums sound incredible and I always listen to them in mono over the stereo. You can make an argument though for the recent anniversary remixes done by Giles Martin since he goes to reproduce the sound & feel of the mono mixes into modern stereo. 👍🏼👍🏼 Also to note, in fairness, you do have the 2014 US album box set which also has the mono mixes of the tracks on them (plus they used the 2009 UK remasters and not the old Capitol mixes). The only thing that can pop up here and there is that they did faithful reproductions of the unique mixes that existed on some of the US albums back then. So some of the songs can have a unique mix that defers from the UK, which isn't a bad thing mind you. For example, I think that the best version to listen to of "and I love her" is the US mono mix. Out of all the mixes of that song, it's the only one where Paul's vocal during the verses are not double tracked. For me it makes all the difference in making that song sound so beautiful and personal. 👍🏼
You should have kept the Capitol Albums sets. Unlike the later issues, these used the original US mixes, complete with the Dave Dexter Junior reverb drenched tracks. It isn't better than the UK versions but it is different. The later issues, apart from a few instances, just use the UK remastered tracks.
The Beatles Story only came in the US Albums box set. It's the only one not sold separately. You could probably find it on ebay, but it's not much to listen to nowadays.
That’s an amazing collection- I only have Rubber Soul on cd and Sgt Pepper’s secondhand on vinyl 😂 I was 10 when the Beatles broke up but their music was everywhere when I was a teenager. I’m waiting for a box set of cds to return to my local record store. I rarely see Beatles in charity stores though there is a Red Album for $65 I might pick up soon- probably original release.
I'd highly suggest "Last Night In Hamburg"... a disc recorded of The Beatles in Germany, obviously, before their rise to fame. $8 or $9 on Amazon, and even comes with a poster (at least mine did):)

Great video, Gary. Very concise and to the point - I enjoyed it.
I agree about Help being in the same class as Rubber Soul and Revolver.

Wow, you have 41 Beatles cd’s, plus a box set more than me then. Cool!!!
Cool Paul doll!!!
15:50 Cool, you have the Beatles Anthology trilogy on CD. I had those in the late 1990s and sold them 😭
Better get the remastered Live at the BBC vol 1 for it has I believe 2 extra tracks

You should get the mono box set...unless you already have it. I don't have one but do have The Red and Blue compilations.

What is your 2nd favorite 60s group? How about do you like The Hollies? some people feel that they copied the Beatles harmonies
The early Beatles by far were the best for me!
My favorite is Monteverdi.
That bobble head figure is George
