Great video btw @19:14 - DA at EGHH is 231 ft. not 200ft. (On an ILS It is threshold elevation + 200Ft or OCH whichever is greater. I guess you have AIP Plates)

Just stumbled across your channel, great videos, well put together. I fly a PA28 from Fairoaks so lots of familiar territory. Question: would you always have a traffic service when in IMC, or when climbing or descending through the clouds? Thanks

Thank you for watching.... always aiming to improve my videos.... ANS: YES, in my personal opinion, a traffic service would be ideal. This is not a forum for discussing a such ‘complicated’ (thank you CAA!) topic... but just to share my experience - a traffic service, yes; especially so that while you are on a traffic service, you HAVE TO request for a change of level - so you WILL practically HAVE to request a climb or descend... and ATC will therefore look ahead of your track... exceptions (and there always will be): I could be in basic service... but there happen to be a cloud in front of me for my climb/ descend... so I personally do not think there is anything wrong with simply “telling” ATC your intentions and “asking” if there are any traffic ahead of you, stating that you’re going to be going through cloud.... Hope this helps!!... THANKS AGAIN for watching my videos
