I had a viral thyroiditis when I was about 50 years old. I was working ER at the time (I’m a nurse) and was at work and felt tachycardic, counted my pulse, it was 120 and went up to 150 when I walked down the hall. A little short of breath. Went to my PCP, tests showed hyperthyroidism . Got referred to an endocrinologist and it took a month to get an appointment. He tested and I was hypothyroid. He asked if I had any pain, I didn’t. He said that’s unusual. He told me me I had a viral thyroiditis and that I would have hyperthyroidism for a month (I did), then hypothyroidism for a month, and then it would go back to normal. And he was right - the hypo phase lasted a month, then back to normal. I did not have a viral infection prior to it that I know of - I was never sick. It’s important to find a dr who will take you seriously. I had neck pain and swollen glands for several months combined with random feelings of not being able to breathe. Throat pain etc. I went to the emergency room a couple times because I felt like I was having a stroke. I had a ct scan and ddimer was elevated. They found a nodule on my thyroid but the Dr said it was probably nothing and also my ddimer was a false positive. She diagnosed me with chondritis because of chest pain i mentioned. I went to several Drs after that and finally went to a surgeon and asked him if he could remove my thyroid nodule because of breathing issues. He surprisingly agreed and it was cancer.
I’m not sure if the throat and neck pain was related but the swelling definitely made my symptoms worse. It really sucks not to have anyone take you seriously because you’re female or because they had no experience with thyroid issues.

my life. I used to be so energetic, and I now have belly fat.

Are you diagnosed with subacute thyroiditis ?
@@youglow7365 yes
My inflamation and irregular blood work returned to normal with acombination of CBD and Turmeric. It went away for three years and now it just returned. So I'm chewing again a turmeric tablet followed with CBD drops under my tongue. Praying it works again
Thanks for sharing.
I'm a 17 yr old boy and I have this (somehow.) 🙄.

Well explained.Thank you!👌
I have severe pain on my thyroid
I don’t believe that it’s a long term bareable pain. What is the next typical solution… surgery ?
do u have still this pain ?
Sorry to hear that. 🙏🏾💖
Did you feel a pain in the depth of your throat as you thought was larynx? I have the same symptoms, I have swollen lymph nodes for months, went to several doctor and none of them cared about it. Feeling extreme fatigue, throat pain, short of breath and lost 15kg in 5 months. I had a neck ct scan last week which shows "heterogeneous thyroid". He says it's not normal, my hematologist just requested another ultrasound and thyroid antibodies, I'm waiting for it.
did your thyroid swell like you had a goiter?
Did you have a fine needle biopsy?
I of balance and always dizzy with headaches my calcium is so high in my blood I also started with depression and severe anxiety

Earlier she was taking paracetamol now she is taking declofenac medicine still fever is coming after every 8 to 12 hours . Her weight is decreasing rapidly. Doctors are planning for steroid. Hi, has your sister got better? I am exactly the same! since December 2023 I am having fever every 8 hours. My weight is decreasing rapidly too. I look sooo ill. I am exhausted.

@@gj8579 I am on the steroids now and got much better. The fever is gone, blood test back to normal. Still long way ahead but there is a light in a tunnel.
Is it possible that the hypothyroid phase can come before the hyperthyroid phase? I got really sick after I went to the hospital to get checked for chest pains. I had two cat scans with iodine and two bags of saline. Afterwards I got extremely sick for over a month. My TSH level was at a 8.2 1 week after I started becoming ill. One month later my TSH dropped to 2.7 without any medication. Should I be concerned about going through a hyperthyroid phase? This past week I have dealt with a swollen throat and chest pains and have been very achy.
How's your tsh now ?..I have my tsh fluctuating post vaccine
@@sampatk4948 so it was 8.2 in July. Then in august in was 2.7 and then one week after that it was 1.9. It came back up to a 3.5 in September and I haven’t had it checked since then
@@emmroosee thanks for your response..my tsh is varying from 10 to 0.05 ...I'm not under any medication too..what are your current symptoms ?
Hey doctor kindly tell me what to eatin daily meal adiabatic with thyroid
hey there JJ medicine. why do some people not recover from the hypothyroid phase? are their bodies simply not strong enough? does age play a role? i went through the thyrotoxic phase already for about 8 weeks. now im into the hypo. constipation, lethargy, sleep apnea which ive never had before. its all very weird to me. im a 19 year old male athlete. i understand the odds are in my favor, especially being young, but I just want some insight into this question i have
In rare cases hypothyroidism can be permanent. If you haven't gone to a doctor make sure it is thyroiditis. They can be medication for it
Hey man, did you make a full recovery? I am an athlete too and I’m two weeks into the thyrotoxic phase. Did you return to sports before full recovery?
@@joefarah still haven't fully recovered but have gotten a lot better
Fantastic video... Informative at the best
I'm 50 but just at pcp because my thyroid is inflammed it really hurts hard to swallow
Iodine
Take iodine
Iodine has been removed from our foods.
It’s no longer in bread or table salt.
I got cured permanently with Dr iyaremoses on UA-cam herbs medications.
Should we take this for hyperthyroid? I read not to take iodine with hyperthyroidism.
Iodine deficiency is NOT the reason why people in the developed world get Thyroid issues. That is almost 100% in 3rd world countries.
Taking iodine especially when taking thyroid medication is not a good idea as it will interfere with your ability to absorb your medication.
@@TGravy-wp4rcThat's unfortunately not true. Recommend listening to what Dr David Brownstein says about this. Most people are iodine deficient.
How many Physicians MD would agree with this information and follow this or heck even listen to the maybeez'? Ans: None.
I started taking the medication I bought from Dr igho channel on UA-cam & surprisingly it was working gradually and in 9days everything stopped. I am really happy that you help me cure my Thyroid naturally, I pray that God strengthen you Dr igho
The hyperthyroid symptoms are not mild!
Could too high dosage thyroid hormone medication cause shaky hands?
I went through all symptoms for hypo and hyper and I think I am somewhere in the middle if that's possible?
I supposedly have hypo but my TSH levels are almost non existent which is a symptom for hyper. T3 and T4 levels are closer to low levels which is also a symptom for hypo. Anti TPO was high AF but I have hashimto diagnose.
I gain weight as hypo and lose hair but I don't have bradycardia, I have tachycardia like I am hyper. No high blood pressure, I have low bp. I do have goiter but no pain in neck. My menstrual cycle was never affected, Appetite used to be huge, now I can eat or don't eat, I feel no hunger at all.
I am so weirdly in between I have no idea what to do.
Hey read anthony Williams thyroid healing and take iodine

I went to the ER bc my right thyroid was swollen, I was referred to an Endocrinologist, and I was told it might be thyroiditis, and was given N.A.D.A. It has been 4 weeks and my thyroid is swollen again, and I have lost weight. I have hypo-hyperthyroid symptoms, and I am so confused I HOPE it os kust thyroiditis bc I dont want the EYES side effect. 🥲. My body/muscle/joints hurt.
hello there i'm on the same boat. i think i have also symptoms of both hypo and hyper. how are you now? did your neck or goiter shrink?
Thanks 😃
